I wonder why Renfrow can't get a job...

Im pretty sure I saw him downtown in Greenville, SC the other day.

Maybe he’s working out at Clemson?

Definitely strange that he can’t even get a chance, unless he’ll only play for a set price.

Ceedee Lamb is rejecting $33 Million/year contract.  Only within budget if you can give him an endorsement deal for $30/year and tell him it is only good if he is a Bills player.

I don’t think we’re trading for him because I doubt Dallas would ever consider it, but I feel like Beane would definitely call and he is Keon’s cousin.

The price tag is big, but he’s a Top 5 WR and it’s reported that some of the hang up is cash flow/structuring.  Jerry can do it if he wants to, but there’s only a handful of GM’s that can financially just say ok to a heavy frontloaded cash flow, and Pegula is one of them.

Don't the Bills have a lot of money coming off the books and should be in much better shape cap wise after the season. Regardless of how this season plays out Beane needs be aggressive in FA. We need to get Allen some elite level talent to work with. The Bills will never win a Super Bowl if Allen is forced to play Superman every year for this team to win.

For the right player, just make the move now and structure the cap hits for future years.

We probably will, but don’t have to, wait until the money is officially off the books.

If Beane had another draft class looking like the one he just had, we’re going to be able to stock the depth/rotation of this roster with cheap talent.

  4. Keon Coleman’s cousin posting cryptic on IG… (Ceedee Lamb) I’ve definitely been on the “we have enough” wagon, but my goodness… these injuries are insane.   For that guy, I’m on the phone if I’m Beane on the off chance he’s available.

Not overly concerned with most of those injuries as they are minor or players we hopefully won’t need/have depth for, but Samuel with turf toe is less than ideal… at worst, a major issue.

This is not meant to be mean but Bills fans always have a damn excuse for why they can't beat the Chiefs. The first year the Bills hadn't been there and were inexperienced. Then the 2nd year they lost to the Chiefs with a dominant performance due to coaching/defense. Then they lose to the Bengals in the playoffs and its because we don't have enough playmakers. Then we lose last year to the Chiefs again because of injuries.

Every game we have played against the Chiefs we have had the opportunity to win and found ways to blow it. Even the 37-24 game we were up 14-0 in the game. Everyone knows about 13 seconds. Last years against the Chiefs we dominated the first half, then proceeded to score 7 points in the 2nd half after we ran over them in the first half. Throw in a Bass missed kick that may or may not have mattered.

Make more plays when it counts.

Not mean at all .. the excuses are valid for injury, but at a some point if you can't stay healthy while other teams can, that's a you problem.

This team is still a Super Bowl caliber team. Like I have said the difference between the Chiefs and the Bills in the playoffs has solely been the Chiefs make more plays when it counts than the Bills do. This team has as good a shot as any other team to get to the big game out of the AFC.

This is true, but they've also had some good injury luck compared to the other contending teams.   Nobody of the caliber of Tre White, Von Miller, Matt Milano has been down due to injury in the playoffs (except for one game where Mahomes went out towards the end), let alone the avalanche of injuries we had last year.

  7. I'm seeing a lot of people resigned to this being a down year or becoming openly frustrated with the roster building for this season.

I'm not going to say that we're better than last year or those people don't have justifiable reason to feel that way.. but I don't see this roster in the same way.

So what has to happen for y'all to feel like we have a Super Bowl contending squad again?

    For me:

    1) I believe the OL will be a strength again.  We have talent and depth that has been in the system for multiple years now and Kromer is one of the best in the game. When we look at the AFC contenders, I think the Bills and Chiefs likely have the two best OL's.

    2) Kincaid makes the jump to a legitimate "focal point of the Offense" type player.

    3) One WR steps up to give us a reliable 3rd option outside Shakir & Samuel.

    4) Von & Jones return to 80%+ of what they were pre-injury and Rousseau stays healthy, making the jump to a double digit sack EDGE.

    5) LB opposite Bernard & both Safety positions give us baseline average play and don't become liabilities as I think we need the DL and CB's to carry this Defense.

Not factoring in coaching (Babich/Brady), as we don't really know what they want to do yet, are these five points too much to hope for if we're being realistic?  Anything else that should be added?

Ya, because banks passed along the risk in the form of Mortgage Backed Securities they sold to pension funds and such. This is totally different

Same place the money for the Trump tax cuts did, we borrowed it and paid it off long term. Just like home owners do with a mortgage

Trump spent like a drunken sailor during covid, but you outlined one major piece of his economic policy.

Harris entire economic policy is based on government control and free handouts .. floating various forms of UBI, $25k homebuyer, student loan forgiveness etc., Everything she proposes is on the backs of the taxpayer/future generations while creating inflationary pressure on the economy.

Bad example there.  Andy Reid is from the west coast tree and specifically grew up within Ron Wolfe's Green Bay philosophy of taking quarterbacks in the draft every year and developing them.

Reid has not done quite that but he always has capable backup qb's and because he is such an excellent quarterbacks coach and offensive mind he knows exactly how to get these backups to succeed.

Right now he has Carson Wentz and think what you want but in the same/similar system in philly with Doug Pederson in 2017 he was the leading candidate to be mvp until his injury.   Ironically his backup won the superbowl.

in 2006 Mcnabb tore an acl and the eagles looked like they were in trouble but Jeff Garcia played great and they won the division and a playoff game.

Andy Reid always has capable backup quarterbacks who he then puts in the best situations.

They won a playoff game with a backup QB coming in over the Browns.

This is also a Mahomes comment, but I digress.

I wade into this discussion carefully, because honestly I do not like either candidate.

I was not a huge fan of Biden, and Harris I was OK with...but in her rallies lately, almost everything she says regarding policy I don't like.  More targeted tax cuts, the SUPER pro-union support (I'm OK with labor unions, I just don't want the government pushing them.).  Basically, I could LIVE with her policies but I don't like that.

But on the other side of it, I just cannot vote for Trump because of the person he is. The 8-year old level name calling.  All politicians lie, but his blatant, obvious, in-your-face lies.  The promises that never came to pass. The obviousness (to me) that he will put himself, his personal wealth, above all and everyone else.  I just can't do it.

Personally I may not vote at all for either of them. Whoever wins I just might have to look the other way and hold my nose for 4 years.  If I had to pick now, I'd probably rather have Trump lose just so the party can move on from him. What I WANT is a Republican who is actually a decent human being. Someone who will push and push for his policy, but knows when to compromise a bit with the other side and take a bit of a win, and then fight on another day.  Someone who doesn't come on TV and have me say...I will still give you a chance just don't make this ALL about you..and 2 minutes in its all about him.  I don't love Biden, I'm not impressed with Harris, but to get a respectable Republican, I think Trump has to lose so the party has a chance to move on.

I honestly 100% understand this sentiment.

I just can’t do it.  This Presidency likely replaces 1-2 Supreme Court Justices.

The long term border actions are not only disastrous for money, safety, drug, terror implications, but it’s being done on purpose.  This will yield future voters.  Voters who will have grown up relying on govt handouts.  So they’re predisposed to vote Dem.  Nevermind the fact that house seats and determined by overall population and states like California are backfilling their exodus by importing residents from the border.   So far, it’s been a net of maybe 1-2 seats for Dems, as apportionment goes both ways .. Texas/Florida gaining a seat too, but it’s something to think about.

So, I understand the want to remove Trump from the party - I do too … but Harris wants to implement aggressive handout policy and as we know.. once you start handing out money, it’s rarely reigned back in.

A lot of long term consequences in play for the immediate satisfaction of removing MAGA.

My only hope, should you get your wish, is that the next four years would usher in 8 years of DeSantis or Youngkin, but damage will likely be done prior to that.

  11. People can get mad at JD Vance all they want, but he’s correct when discussing “cat ladies”.

Im not exactly sure what’s going on with liberal women, but it’s not healthy.

Many of them seem to find their identity in social causes, absent a healthy relationship, a family or religion.   It, by default, becomes their religion.

They harbor so much anger & resentment towards a large portion of the white male population.

And the truly fascinating aspect that needs to be studied is the absolute sky high usage of SSRI’s amongst white women.  It’s spiking off the charts compared to every other group.  Why?

  12. Where’s the money coming from?  Question that needs to be asked about almost every single one of her handout policies.

Yes, this will likely just raise home prices by both artificially boosting the money supple people have to purchase homes and the likely surge of new home buyers under the plan.

By giving folks down payment money, it does bring into scope the worry of a housing crash where people buy homes they can’t afford.

Im not necessarily hardcore against this plan, as I think something needs to be done to level the playing field for millennials/gen z, who have been completely ****ed over by prior generations and corporations like BlackRock when it comes to home ownership.

But every single one of her plans seems to rely on free money and/or government intervention.   Thats a very worrisome, and somewhat predictable, road to travel.

She needs to answer real, substantive questions on how her plans will be subsidized and implemented, because she is honestly playing games with the economic future of this country.  Call her communist, socialist, whatever… I’ll try to have a substantive take on this without labeling, but anyone with any economic sense will look at her proposals and either conclude she’s lying or this is incredibly troubling policy that needs to be thoroughly explained to the voters (but it won’t, because she’s relying on it not being explained).

  13. I’m also getting sick of the comments I see about “well, if Josh gets hurt, doesn’t matter anyway”.

    No, actually, it does matter.

Josh Allen has played through injuries that would have sidelined 90%+ of other QB’s for a 2-4 weeks.

As of right now, if he actually does miss 2-4 weeks, chalk up 2-4 L’s with this schedule and the difference between making the playoffs or not.

Im not saying some rookie QB or a better option would help, but nobody should have any faith that Trubisky can even win one game against a lighter opponent on the schedule, if needed.
