Bills 20, Cards 13 everybody looks rusty, offense misses barely on some big plays, defense looks terrible until the redzone. safeties make us all worried for next week. want to be more positive, i havent seen anything that pushes me in that direction though. Go Bills!!!

not sure what the Bengals are expected to do here. you simply cant remain competitive in the modern NFL if you have all your cap wrapped up in 2 guys. guys have to take team friendly deals if you want to keep talent around. if you want to be paid as the highest at your position, thats going to come with some negatives, one being winning. im all for players getting theirs, and yes Brown has a track record of being cheap, cuz hes not as flush as other owners, but whats the options here? this isnt the NBA where u can sink stupid money into one top ten player and still be able to compete nightly with a bunch of nobodies surrounding said player.

NFL is the ultimate team game, this isnt the NBA where one superstar can carry a team every night without any help. bring Reid over to the Bills and maybe he makes every pedestrian WR look like a future HoF'er, or maybe just make him look good for one game where a defense blew a coverage or couldnt tackle. one, game.

Diggs was very good while here. zero issues with his effort up till the 2nd half of last season when it appeared he was either being fazed out, or doing it himself. clearly he wanted out. bye. we would miss prime Diggs this season, but he isnt prime Diggs anymore. the FO took a huge hit to make him go away, and got a decent return in doing so. thats a win in my book. Texans paid to get 600 catches max and mbe 5 TDs on a one year rental. moving on.

i have zero expectations this year beyond competing at a high level in every game. the schedule alone is enough to make me question any outcome of the season. add in that the AFC is still a murderers row of teams and QBs compared to the NFC. every single week feels like a must win in order to get that home playoffs throughout, and thats just ridiculously improbable in this NFL. as long as JA17 is healthy and doing his thing ill be invested, because hes that dynamic, that much fun to watch. beyond that, who knows.

greed gonna greed. now the super millionaires and billionaires of the NFL arent stupid, they didnt become that rich by being lazy and dumb, so theres a good chance that this possible deal wont go south. stranger things have happened to greedy people though. more becomes an addiction, that can at times lead to disaster.

last QB i can remember coming back from an achilles was Marino, and he was never the same. happened late in his career as well. now apparently we've advanced on the football injury front over the decades, but this still is a show me first type scenario with Rodgers. moving around in practice where you cant actually be touched is not the same as game speed. ive seen a few vids of Rodgers this past training camp and he doesnt look all that smooth doing the normal QB dropback turnaround hand off or throw type things. Jests have a very very good D, but if Rodgers cant hack it, its back to 7 wins for them, Saleh gets fired, and Rodgers probably finally f's off to do his weird off season im smarter than everybody, pay attention to me sh*t fulltime, and hopefully fades away into obscurity. Jests have questions in a few key spots. DLine may not be the everydown monster they were in previous seasons. they lost some depth there. OLine, protecting that 40 year old world traveler/achilles survivor and fully inoculated alt hero is still not proven and full of guys who get injured all the time themselves. should be fun.

Flores may be one of those coaches who its his way or the highway. meaning, if you dont fit exactly what he wants to do, bye bye. most of the real good coaches in the NFL can adapt to their players strengths and cover up their weaknesses. could be whats happened to Cine.

nothing good ever happens for the consumer when Private Equity gets involved, nothing. i dont care about the parameters of this potential deal. PE is all about the return on investment at the expense of everything else. might not seem like much right now, but its a very slippery slope and greed gonna greed. seen it too many times, in too many industries. if PE doesnt wreck the NFL, it will be the first time they havent destroyed an entity that they've sunk their fangs into.
