Gameday Thread Bills @ Cincy 1st Half
bigduke6 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
getting real tired of watching people tackle with their shoulders or heads low on offensive players legs.........what happened to using your arms? -
ya lots of season left, its possible that Gilmore cleans up his play. Pats have more issues on the d than just Gilmore. the way the Pats approached this offseason makes me think that the Hoodie knows that Brady is just about done and he tried to stack the team for one last run. Pats used to develop through the draft, but that takes time. Signing high priced FAs isnt their norm.
-
so Gilmore appears to not be worth the money, exactly why OBD waived bye bye to him. Hes a serviceable starting CB in this league, just isnt worth the cash he wanted. NFL is a business. When this team makes business moves people go crazy. OMG, we let our (insert half ways decent player who wants huge $$$$ cuz he has leverage over a team that seems desperate) best player goooo! Clements Byrd Gillmore etc etc

where are the Taylor haters? still here, not trying to rain on peoples happiness in a win over a legit team. Seeing as u opened the door, keep in mind, that Taylor had a massive amount of help yesterday from parts of the team that will most likely not be there every game. sooner or later we're going to need Taylor to win a game with his arm, and we'll see what happens, hope it isnt the same old Taylor. He did good enough to win yesterday. He didnt do well enough to change anybodies mind about whether or not hes a legit franchise guy. Go Bills! and i hope Tyrod continues to progress. He seems to have finally discovered a TE who was open all last season! This win, while much fun, couldnt have played out for the Bills much better. Starting WRs out, questionable calls by refs on important plays. its a win, but not a slam dunk.

Gameday Bills vs Broncos 2nd Half
bigduke6 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sure looked like it -
the scorched earth policy of many in this country is a waste of time. its my way or the highway.....history has shown that thinking like this doesnt work. if fans took a knee, you would hope that the other fans who dont agree would respect their decision and just agree to disagree, but i dont have that kind of faith in humanity anymore. would imagine that somewhere there would be fights, cursing, etc etc... football is supposed to be entertainment, i dont find politics entertaining. too bad people have to inject it into our entertainment. doesnt matter what side u fall on. there are better places to discuss the worlds ills.

After/during game will Peterman come in and replace Taylor?
bigduke6 replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
dont agree with the rookie QB needs a year on the bench theory. if you have an oline that can reasonably protect him, best way to learn the game and get better is by playing. film study is nice, but you have to play to improve. that being said, appears our oline is terrible at pass pro. sit peterman till that changes. wanna give him a start, game after the bye week looks good. time to plan ahead, -
so the rams beat probably the two worst teams in the league, wake me up when they beat somebody in the top 25

McDermott: Bills Need More Urgency from Dareus
bigduke6 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this definitely needed another thread.....Dareus is gone after this season. -
how is this still a topic? did Sammy cement his HoF status after the first 3 games of this season? or is he still the oft injured receiver who was going to want a crapton of money this offseason with a subpar QB throwing to him? this was a pure business decision by OBD. nothing more. not over paying a receiver that hasnt showed durability..... some of you are assuming Sammy wanted to be here after the season. never assume. better to get something rather than nothing.

What if we still had Hogan & Gillislee?
bigduke6 replied to BBills14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what if we still had 2 marginal skill players who became overpayed while still having a mediocre QB distributing the ball to them? probably win the superbowl!!! -
Zay Jones drops huge catch. <radio edit>

entirely possible Zay didnt know where the safety was and thought he might get tackled if he turned up field. lot of variables for a rookie to worry about in the spot. -
Zay Jones drops huge catch. <radio edit>
bigduke6 replied to r00tabaga's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Zay was clearly lookin for the ball over his right shoulder, meaning that he probably was doin what a smart rookie should do, look to get out of bounds as fast as possible. of course the placement of the ball was left shoulder so he twists and contorts and stumbles his way to a ball that glances offa his fingertips while hes completely stretched out. its possible he ran the wrong route, its possible he looked over the wrong shoulder, its also extremely possible that his QB who doesnt throw guys open or hit them in stride, or throw the ball where its supposed to be on a regular basis blew the pass. either way, we dont know, only Zay, Tyrod, and the coaches know. Thinking that Zay admitted it was his fault actually means it was his fault is naive, no WR throws his QB under the buss, especially a rookie. thinking that this one play that was fouled up (possibly) by a rookie WR shows that Taylor isnt a bad QB is also naive. -
lol watched Rex Ryan talking to Jameis Winston on Hard Knocks this season, he says to Jameis "man i never had a QB as good as u, if i did id still be coaching" laughed my --- off. Thats what Rex thought of his hand picked QB after he experienced him for 2 full seasons. tbh, i think this team can win 6 games, id prefer them to win far less. anything over 6 and we might not be able to get in on the QB sweepstakes. think we will be in the 6-10 range picking yet again.... Just remembering how expensive it was for the Luck/RG3 draft. and we're assuming that Darnold comes out. Sixish QBs that people are talking up, one coming from a sub par program, 2 more in subpar offenses, (air raid/spread). If u want the pro style QBs (Rosen/Darnold) its gonna cost ya.

those wonderful blanket statements about a whole group of people.....brilliant work there. must be hard for you to watch all the subhumans wander around in the darkness from your ivory tower.
