from what ive heard that wrist injury he got nearly immediately was looked at and the thought was that he should shut it down for the rest of the season. it was that bad. clearly he decided to continue on but that sounds significant to me. not sure why hes still a FA at this point, i honestly want him back if its a team friendly deal. somebody will pick him up around TC time is my guess.

i really dont like the way this whole scene is seemingly going to play out. simply cannot overpay in this league anymore unless its for a QB. we've got Benford looking for a bag, Cook, other guys upcoming and the team hasnt really gotten better enough to get over the hump. Beane is trying to fill holes with value at key spots because he needs to keep other people happy. is RB a key spot? id rather pay Benford even with all his injury concerns over Cook, who absolutely deserve a pay increase mind you. i dont envy Beane in this case.

i mean, its easy to give a "discount" when you already have generational wealth. now he could be a greedy sob and hamstring the team, but hes already wealthy and it allows him to help himself when it comes to winning. i guess its something to be excited about, then you look at Cook who hasnt hit that big payday yet and everybody is dogging on him. mostly because hes loud with it, but still. i love JA17, no doubt. he does everything right imo when it comes to off the field and on, dont take this as bashing on him.

well the Chefs love these kind of players. not a surprise. not team is squeaky clean all the time, but KC sure does have a track record for these kind of humans.

id be fine if they banned it. extremely unfair to defenses especially around the goal line. you cant really run it or stop it without putting your body in jeopardy. sure its fun when it works for you, its not when it works against you.

to my knowledge Beane doesnt seem to be an unfair GM. when you earn it he typically rewards you. going public is kind of a dik move to put outside pressure on Beane. not very professional. you handle your business in house, not in public.

didnt watch a lick of the game. dont feel like i missed out on anything. kinda wished both teams could lose.

hes at the point in his career where he doesnt want to do anything in the offseason, doesnt want to do training camp. hes probably tired and bored and upset that hes not the focal point of their offense anymore. hes probably going to be asked to restructure and take a pay cut. hes got nearly every record he needs, hes going into the Hall. hes set for life and if he even sniffs that the Chefs cant win another SB with how theyre set up, he probably says f it and hangs them up. you see this all the time. future HoF veterans dont want to do the work off the field when they get older. the grind is real, and the older you get, it gets worse.

i dont blame Cook. hes nothing without that OLine opening up the holes though. its a team game and this is Cooks chance to get paid but this is going to be a hard discussion in the FO. especially with what Davis and Ty can do. i dont want to hear about Barkley either. he went to the best OLine in the league that opened monster holes for him, and he managed to stay healthy for once. something he couldnt do for the Giants. overpaying for RBs is a luxury most of the league cant afford.

think im done with this league. its not just this loss, its a cumulation of things over the decades. its gotten much worse lately though. overpriced garbage catering to degenerate gamblers. i know i wont be missed, i know nobody cares, just sucks that i continue to lose things that i used to enjoy. im a 30 year Ohio State fan going back to the John Cooper days. youd think that i would have celebrated their Championship win last week. nope, something about that left a bad taste in my mouth. dont know exactly why, something is wrong though. the product just doesnt feel like its worth getting involved anymore.
