  1. Franchise tag. And no, he's the homecoming queen we turned down for the quirky nerd, because she might "have something."
  2. Should've kept the generational talent
  3. Football seems to be going the way of gladiatorial fights. Too dangerous and too gruesome. Stave it off. I say cap every NFL player to 4-5 years to keep the damage to a minimum. Level out salaries so everyone gets a nice fat chunk to live off of and use for medical reasons
  4. The real question is: how many wins before Beane is put on suicide watch? A winning tank team means making sure he isn't wearing ties or shoelaces
  5. Would you say Reuben Brown was a better OLineman than Jason Peters?
  6. Down in Norh Port (new house, high ground.) Ready for the eye. Ready for the Bills.
  7. When you think about it "No Days Off" doesn't mean they can't give up early 🤔
  8. Lots of unamerican pieces of **** in this thread. I served my country so NO govt agent would violate your rights. Cops are violating everyone's rights left and right, black and white. If you defend any of these actions you better be moving to Russia where the state can do with you as they please. This is !@#$ing America, and the govt is killing and harassing its own citizens. Grow the !@#$ up you bunch of idiots!
  9. Honestly I hope he turns out to be the guy. He'd be another story. He'd also turn our plethora of early picks from trade ammo into luxury/foundation building picks. I'd rather have that.
  10. Idk. That would mean credit for Whaley and I don't see that happening. It would be ideal and would set the franchise up for massive success (potentially.)
  11. Wouldn't this mean we were good tho? Headless horseman wasn't some chump on a horse
  12. Real life isn't Madden. What if the rookie QB blows? There's a good chance of that happening so don't expect an instant franchise QB just because you drafted someone in the 1st round. All I can say is if they don't nail the pick and the QB flops, we are back at square one with a new coach and GM, lather/rinse/repeat
  13. A lot of experts on here claiming the Bills will be amazing after the draft, by finally tanking after 17 LONG years of no playoffs. How many rings do Detroit and Cleveland have? Did New England tank for Brady? The game is about winning, not positioning. The Bills threw in the towel, plain and simple. They need to nail their picks and hope they're actually any good. Not something the Bills are known for, and the most successful draft GM we had is now gone. How many teams, in the NFLs long history, have tanked purposely and it worked out? These moves set the franchise back 3-5 years....to .500. At least I didn't waste my money on Sunday Ticket
  14. He's only salty because we can see right thru him.
  15. Who can they beat on the schedule? I imagine the Jets should be an easy win or two. Maybe.
  16. You seem butthurt
  17. That's what I'm saying. It's going to take even more time and patience; I'm talking Tom Landry and the Cowboys of the 60s type patience. This is going to be such a long time before we see the payoff, and that's if the gamble even works. There's always a chance this whole rebuild relies on the drafting of one player and if we miss or whiff we will back to the drawing board in 4-5 years looking down the barrel of a 21 year drought.
  18. Poor footwork but is still young and could prob be coached. Doesn't seem to put much mustard on 30 yarders, reminds me of Chad Pennington in that regard. There's more but we're talking about a kid who's going to grow, hopefully
  19. The other thing that irks me about the Gilmore/Darby thing is that they had to have known Darby was a man CB and wouldn't fit. WE all knew this. Rex even said that's why he will excel in his D is because he's strictly a man CB. And now they let the better all around DB walk in Gilmore for a guy they knew didn't fit...and reasoned his trading away is mostly, if not all, due to this lack of fitting a man CB in a zone cover scheme. Having a fresh HC and GM is showing right now. Watkins, when healthy, was uncoverable. He won us games. I think people just rate him lower in their minds because of his health and his draft position with what we gave up to get him. Watkins is a true loss. Jim Kelly got banged up a lot and missed games, even a super bowl, yet people would call you crazy talking about trading Ol Jimbo for a 2nd rounder and an ok but nearly not as good Corner.
  20. Who's left on this team that says otherwise? The QB they aren't keeping past this year or the almost 30 y/o RB in a passing league? The drought will be buying drinks and getting drunk to wash away the pain of not being in the playoffs for 21 straight years.
  21. What they're paid has absolutely nothing to do with how dangerous the sport is; that's an asinine argument to make. Every league, hell every worker, should be entitled to 50% profit; no more, no less
  22. The Jills shouldn't come back unless they can scout for talent outside of Buffalo. You don't realize how little the scenery in that town is until you've lived in south Florida, west coast, NY, et al. Most Buffalo girls are busted
  23. I hate to be the guy who takes a big steaming pile on your theory that if you can't judge QB talent (scouting is a crap shoot, Jerry Rice and Emmit Smith and Thurman Thomas were toooooooo slow for the game according to everyone and their mothers) you aren't a football guy "factoid" there, Cliff Clavin: Bill Walsh said Rick Meier was the 2nd coming of Joe Montana. Kinda like when he said Trent Edwards was good. So either Super Bowl winning Coach Bill Walsh isn't a football guy, or some random guy behind a keyboard, who's never run a team, scouted or coached or played in the NFL isn't the football guy. You tell me, Cliff
  24. Could you imagine someone giving Tom the business, like Marty Lyons did to Jimbo? Lmao. I don't think you can even sneeze at Brady without a 15 yarder. Hell, I'm surprised they don't eject the player that sacks him, lol. Hyperbole aside, draft Brady and give him a fire to burn on like he's had for 16 years and we'd be the best team, the greatest, believe me.
  25. Dude, no way. Jim Kelly would eat defenses for breakfast in today's NFL. He was a prolific passer, lest ye forget. Hell man, Marino would hit 6000 yards lol. But for real, he played in an era before the Ty Law rule, and the passing game exploded ever since. Keep Kelly healthy and upright and he'd torch everyone
