I didn’t watch this particular segment but we get a TON of praise on all of these shows now. You must’ve forgotten what it used to be like or you didn’t experience it, this is like an alternate universe
At some point during a build you have to let some good players walk and draft to fill. It feels very good to be able to say that. That being said I would say outside LB is going to be easier to fill in Round 1/2 vs RT. I re-sign Williams. Feliciano shouldn’t be very cost prohibitive IMO
How about a 3rd, next years 5th, and Kyle Murphy for Tomlinson/Engram
They were but I would hope this would be an off-season move and not one when we are trying to get better for a SB run. IMO that makes us worse and more thin.
I like Knox, he has been inconsistent and needs to get healthy but he is dynamic player. It usually takes TEs until their second contract to meet their potential.
Would’ve liked Atkins...
As much as I want to excited about his upside and how much faith I have in him maybe needing the right system, players don’t seem to be in the street this long and have been left without a team and then come in and make a difference. Can y’all think of really any players that weren’t already pro bowlers that have had a similar situation and balled out?
2017 - making a playoff push we traded for Benjamin. Clearest issue was offense.
2018 - no playoffs hopes at deadline
2019 - attempted to trade for Diggs. Clearest is was offense.
2020 - playoff push, clearest issue is Defense. They won’t overspend and I think that is what has to be kept in mind but I expect them to make a move defensively to try and get our Defense back on track.
Just watched Eric Turner’s Covers1 breakdown of his “bad game”. Josh made 10-12 throws that were incredible. Throws that if your QB made one you would reference that throw in your mind believing he is the real deal. The dude is legit. It has me jazzed up for the future. I highly recommend watching.
Honestly I see some people mention Beasley. When I saw Smoke was out, I put money on Beasley’s over for yards and Josh was forcing it to Diggs in the first half and we moved the ball more easily when he started looking his way in the second. I was a little confused why he didn’t do that in the first.
Singletary is a better ball carrier. There is no where to go. I don’t know if it is predictability or poor blocking/execution but Singletary is good but he had no where to go. IMO
