Hope to see a WR signing. Somebody, anybody, who can separate.
I'm also genuinely confused by the actual start/dedicated timeframe for free agency at this point. Seems like a total free for all this year, which I have no issue with since it seemed to benefit the Bills.

One of the WR-neediest teams in the NFL just cut him. Don't overthink this one, friends.
Exactly. Their WR situation is terrible.

Well, OK. If you call that "hot" then I guess yeah, maybe.
There's always at least one of you.

They are all political. Most people in media are super liberal. And its annoying
You're also in a liberal market. Do you think all of the sports commentators in Mobile, Alabama are "super liberal"? Of course you're going to get more liberal points of view in Western NY. Sweeping generalizations never work.

Yeah, that was my point...and its pretty crazy to think that to be true, but it probably sadly is.
Ah gotcha. I actually read the whole post too haha. Well said anyway.

PS: Everyone said Vick was gonna be a major issue if someone signed him...guess what, no one cared and it died out quick. If someone signs Kap, no one will care about the protest anymore because he isnt doing it. Sure some people cant let stuff go, but its going to be mostly a non story once he stands the first game.
I think there may actually be a lot more people that are angrier about what Kap is doing than there were about Vick abusing dogs, which is insane. We live in very divisive times.

You both need to post images of your hands now, no back pedaling. Let's see them fists!

I think a room full of fifth graders could have a more educated political discussion.
Lets tackle string theory in a Josh McCown thread next. While drunk.

Is he even training regularly? Working out? Serious question
Seems to be focusing on a lot of activism lately, which I again have no issue with, but are we just assuming that he's in football shape both mentally and physically? I kind of get the impression that he really doesn't care anymore and is largely focused on other things

I never supposed that notion in the least
You sure as hell made some sweeping politically fueled generalizations based on some simple comments, so it's a fair assumption.

Misdirected by whom? My own personal beliefs? Lol...grow up junior
Yes, if you think that half the country is essentially your enemy and that all of their beliefs are perfectly opposed to yours, then you've either been fooled by somebody, or you're willfully stupid.

***** liberal. YOU are the problem in this country. Whiney little *****
Only thing fake is support for our country. Ease up Odessa, your tears are too salty
Geeze, like this angry, little guy. Lighten up, Francis, you've fallen for the Us vs. Them charade hook, line, and sinker. You're not really fighting for anything, you're being intentionally misdirected.
You'll hopefully figure this out some day and man, this whole phase is going to be really embarassing...

Could care less about the politics and can only laugh at the people who get offended while sitting on their couch and swilling beer from their Budweiser flag cans. The "outrage" from 99.9% of those that think they're mad is ridiculous.
I don't want him because he's a mediocre QB that hasn't played in over a year. No thanks.

Any credible reason to believe that NE will sign him or is this just being assumed due to the obvious? He's a different WR than Amendola/Welker/Edelman which I assume is fueling this.

I've heard that the moment a guy makes the Pro Bowl that you should cut him because you can find substantially better talent on just about any team's practice squad. Real talent flies completely under the radar.
amirite?

Really is a strange thing to argue about considering Watkins has been a complete enigma for his career. He's both extremely talented and extremely overhyped. I could absolutely see him being overshadowed in KC by all of the other options after last year and would not assume an instant Mahomes/Watkins connection. Watch Tyreek Hill go off next year now that he'll have the best decoy in football on the field with him.

This should win you an award of some sort. I've never seen a more asinine analogy in my entire life and I pray that you never procreate. Bless you, my son.
Literally one post after saying that others have trouble engaging in civil, adult conversations. WTF?

Just because people are happy with the signing, doesn't mean they think he was effective. Remember when Fred Jackson got cut? It was because he was ineffective; everyone knew it; and most were pissed off.
I'm not unhappy that Kyle is back. I simply think he was overpaid - as I do not expect him to be even close to an every down-type player. And if he is, we're in a tad of trouble. He was one of the reasons our D line sucked so bad last year. That, my friend, is simple stuff.
So now we're going off the assumption that there's a contingency of happy people who think he's an ineffective player but are just happy that he was resigned because they like the guy?
So many mental gymnastics...
Whatever, have a good one.

It's amazing how you interpreted what I wrote.
You are very special.
I love you.
So many edgelords...
You said anybody without bias would see that he's an ineffective player.
99% of the people posting in this thread are happy about the signing.
Therefore it's easy to deduce that you assume that anybody happy about this is biased and doesn't know what they're talking about. This is pretty simple stuff, dude.

2 minutes ago, Gugny said:
Yes. Ineffective. Anyone watching the games without bias will agree.
Anybody? You sure about that? So apparently only Gugny knows what he's talking about and we're all just biased idiots, because the general consensus seem to be pretty positive...

$5 million guaranteed for an ineffective, old player.
I get that leadership is important, but Jesus Christ ... he's not worth $5 million.
He was "ineffective" now???
Look, I get that people here talk in extremes and that you're either the best to ever play football or a slow, ineffective bust and that there is no room for anything in between for some of you, but this is absolutely insane.
Anything for attention, I guess.

But McCarron has a ton of passion and is borderline cocky too, and seemingly has more reason to be per the original post.
Great thread, thanks for posting. I also don't really understand the desire for Mayfield now with McCarron on the roster, although it's only been a day so maybe it will die down a bit.
