  1. The next day I was at a little hole in the wall ticket office buying seats for the Super Bowl. I had to drive to an office in Anaheim somewhere to get my seats. This was before ticket websites, etc. I honestly don’t recall how I even found those folks but the tickets were legit and even though we got our butts kicked at the Rose Bowl it’s still up there as lifelong memory. I treated my Dad who had paid for season tickets for us growing up all those years in WNY.
  2. Good thing I got my Heathrow Express tickets from the airport into the City on Thursday the 4th.
  3. Bank of America now has what they call a ‘travel credit card’ just for this purpose. No annual fee but for some reason they encourage it over your normal VISA card. None of this stuff makes much sense but what the heck.
  4. Kind of blew up your other thread. Oh well…..this stuff happens to the best of armchair general managers.
  5. His “harvis” is on fire? That’s gonna leave a mark! 😉
  6. I’ve seen way worse hits than that and I don’t believe there was any intent to injure Adams. It’s hard for me to believe he’d comment on it at all. He’s played a lot of football. Things happen out there.
  7. So is this in lieu of the Regent Street closing they did last time?
  8. Hard for me to imagine a more high maintenance girlfriend. Travis, I’d turn back if I were you!
  9. It’s only Week Two but in a year where everyone is talking about the AFC’s quarterback riches what really stands out is the NFC has the top two, three of the top four, and six of the top ten.
  10. I must be getting old. The vast majority of that list is rather underwhelming.
  11. That’s not a window! It’s a mirror. 😳
  12. Why is this even a thing right now? The Raiders gained virtually nothing on the ground Sunday and except for a single long run by Breece Hall the Jets were well under 100 yards rushing.
  13. What’s the old saying? “It must be real…it’s on television!” 👍
  14. Is there a tube station in Batavia?
  15. I have to agree on Watson. I remembered him as a guy who could tuck it and run when necessary. Last night he looked like a guy where that was nowhere near being an option.
  16. Having passionately followed the Bills for every bit of sixty years if I stopped going every time they lost to an NFL team I’d have to wait for the next league expansion to stay away. 😉 So being the gluten for ‘punishment’ that all Bills fans have to be, I’ll be there at Tottenham! Can’t wait. Go Bills
  17. I was just amazed at the size of that dude! I didn’t think humans got to be that large.
  18. Watching the game yesterday it was as if Josh and the offensive coaching staff had read every post on here following last week’s disaster. Well done TBD! They: Took what the defense gave them. Stopped chucking the ball downfield. Used all three running backs. Spread the ball around in the passing game. Controlled the clock.
  19. That’s the problem with these type of organizational slogans. They mean something completely different to anyone who hears them. Having read through, and contributed to, this entire thread I’m more confused than ever as to what anyone thinks The Process even is.
  20. You may indeed be right. But, just as in a corporate setting where managers are brought in to clean house, that ‘process’ then only relates to the cleaning. You need a new process for the sustaining, and possibly a new manager/coach if they can’t make the shift from cleaning to sustaining. We’re going to learn a lot this season.
  21. This thread is about the slogan. I didn’t create the slogan. The organization did. I was a guy who created corporate slogans like this. It either means something in the daily activities and philosophy of an organization or it doesn’t. EVERY organization comes up with a catch phrase like this but for the vast majority when the workday starts you’re hard pressed to see how it’s ever put into action.
  22. I understand. I’m just trying to make a distinction about the term: The Process. To my way of thinking it speaks to a system (process over product). The draft is all about product. Without getting too far into the weeds it seems like the Steelers, under Tomlin, are a good example of Process. They always seem to competitive with a next man up philosophy spanning many years now.
  23. The definition of The Process (your definition) is developing players once they’re here…regardless of where they came from. I’d put it to you that players I mentioned on defense (and Diggs on offense) were already well ‘developed’ BEFORE they got here.
  24. Signing Von Miller and Floyd for that matter is the very antithesis of The Process. In fact those signings scream that The Process is not working. Now, those signings aren’t bad moves….but they definitely aren’t The Process.
  25. Definitely….but…this specific thread is about The Process. That term doesn’t refer to drafting players with exceptional talent. As I understand it that term refers to an internal system at OBD that develops players once they’re here. When I saw Coach McD, on national television, pointing at his brain and yelling at Josh to play smart football last Monday night it leads me to believe that The Process sure as heck isn’t working. See my comment above. This thread is about The Process. It’s NOT about the draft.
