  1. Apparently if you just keep saying there’s “no evidence”….then there isn’t. I have no idea when the Left fell into complete synchronized lockstep with defending corruption but it’s amazingly sad.
  2. If that’s supposed to be a disgraceful mug shot the Left has failed again miserably. It looks more like a passport photo. Total idiots!
  3. Hilarious! I thought we weren’t supposed to be judging people based on their looks. Or is it only acceptable if the Democrats do it? (Just trying to figure out if we still have any rules.)
  4. In short, all that’s happened in the last three years is we’ve come right back to where we were before the economic shutdown, except inflation has made those gains worth way less.
  5. Ugh! I’m not trying to be political here. The point is that these returns have NOT been stellar….just okay at best. I was responding to an earlier post which was implying that investors had seen a windfall at the expense of the drowning middle class (who’re being eaten up by inflation). That is simply not true.
  6. So you’ve picked that one window of time from three years ago? The original discussion was on how the investor class has been doing….lately.
  7. So we’ve gone from ‘having it easy’ all the way down to being in ‘relatively good shape’ in the span of a single paragraph? 😉 As usual, we agree on. A lot of it. Especially on the interest rate part. I long advocated for the Fed to slowly increase rates. Mostly so they’d have someplace to take them if the economy hit a rough patch…which I consider a global pandemic to be pretty rough.
  8. That’s also true. But you can always say it could’ve been worse, or it could’ve been better. My point was that the ‘investor class’ (of which I’m one) have not had fair sailing over the last few years. Saying that they have is just another low-hanging talking point by those thinking “somebody else must be making all the money, right?”.
  9. That’s true but only if looked at in a vacuum. It should be doing way way better coming out of a pandemic. I wouldn't call less than 5% per year a roaring performance.
  10. I disagree. The stock market has been going nowhere since Biden took office. Up, down, up, down, up, down.
  11. I agree. This season’s roster has the feel of something being held together with rubber bands and scotch tape to me. I really hope I’m wrong, but my expectations are not very high. But…. Wouldn’t it be great if this was the year it all came together? Go Bills
  12. I wouldn’t go so far as to call Elam a bust. It could be that the later round player just happens to be really good. That’s not Elam’s fault.
  13. It’s an interesting comparison for sure but I’d imagine you could pick out any of the many also-rans around the league and make similar ones. The fact is that for almost a decade now, the league has been dominated by two teams: New England and Kansas City. They’ve appeared in 7 of the last 9 Super Bowls, with a plethora of other teams making a one-and-done run to try and compete. It’s been the hunters versus the hunted with 30 other teams chasing the front runners.
  14. As is often the case, I agree Frank. But I would add the advice that he should get out of debt as fast as possible. Make some sacrifices early in life, but not so many as to be miserable. It’ll pay huge dividends later in life.
  15. I see. So you want OTHER people to pay more in taxes. Figures.
  16. I honestly thought this had autocorrected the word “life” into “knife”. Try it….it sort of works. 😁
  17. And there’s your problem…you’re thinking way too hard and looking way too deep. 😉 Life is pretty simple really.
  18. Ugh! You’re supposed to be PURSUING life, liberty, and happiness. Yes, in our society money is used to purchase things….no shite. I could make an entire series of Kamala quotes from your posts today. For example: “Money is used to buy things, because that’s what money is used for.”
  19. Oh my gosh. You’re supposed to be pursuing life liberty and happiness. Money doesn’t buy any of those things. I think it’s time you move to Portugal….regardless of who wins next November. 😉
  20. Give it up Doc… this is nothing but pure blatant racism on display here today. I’m utterly disgusted!
  21. Let me guess, somebody wrote a book who’s basic premise is that people who have more money really shouldn’t have more money? Wake the heck up! If you don’t want to have more money….then don’t! I know plenty of people who’ve squandered everything they have. I know other people who had my exact same background that CHOSE to not work very hard. Money is neither the ultimate goal nor the ultimate evil. I’m utterly shocked that someone who claims to be well read hasn’t figured out that most basic of truths. Maybe you should read less.
  22. Hilarious. So let me see if the resident genius didn’t just say “our economic status separates us into people of economic status”. No shite! I’m dying to hear what you think the term economic status means. You’re using the very definition of the term to criticize the term. Brilliant!
  23. What? We have ECONOMIC classes whose key attributes are….wait for it…ECONOMIC status. Nobody could make this shite up! 😂😂😂😉😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
