  1. Shaw, the Bills lost to a slightly superior team yesterday but the motivation factor should have tipped the edge back to the Bills.  But ...they made too many unforced strategic errors to tip the scale back in their favor. Couple those coaching errors with the obvious referee bias and you have another predictable loss.

Nothing has changed for the Bills in 2017. Nothing. They'll miss the playoffs by a whisker and with two guaranteed losses to Brady before the season even starts, they'll look back on the couple of 'easy' mid-season games that got away from them.....again.

Rinse and repeat.  Oh yeah....GO GET A QUARTERBACK!!

  2. The problem is NOT instant replay or camera angles...or even the search for truth.  The problem is that the NFL has messed with their rule book so much that what used to seem like common sense is no longer the case!

To me, the Clay catch just before the Benjamin replay was a touchdown. He caught the ball, turned his body, put the opposite hand down inside the end zone and the ball only cane out when the other elbow hit the ground!  The ground cannot cause a fumble. You don't need to tackled in the end zone. And the receivers entire body, including the ball, are in the end zone....TOUCHDOWN

  3. Great thread OP! I've been screaming the same thing every Sunday. And sitting in the stadium at the Chargers game it was amazing how many of the fans were yelling for him to simply take a knee...but no...he had to bring it out and the Bills kept starting around the 15 yard line. (Of course it was made really annoying because the Chargers kicked off about TEN times in the first half alone.)

But, this is on the Coach, not Tate! He has to be told what to do and what not to do. A kick return is like any other offensive play. It is not random. The return team rehearses it.

  4. I was wearing my Bills hat on Tuesday while visiting the North Shore of Oahu. The little Hawaiian cashier at the Shave Ice place said "Go Bills"!  Apparently her boyfriend is in the navy out here. I was shocked when she then gave me her entire low down on the Dolphins game.

Go Bills and Mele Kalikimaka (Merry Christmas)

  5. Three changes (officiating related) that have made the NFL decidedly worse in recent years:

First, when offensive holding changed from being called on running plays instead of passing plays.

Second, allowing quarterbacks to ground the ball in lieu of a sack. (No problem with them throwing it away for their personal safety but it should count and be spotted as a sack.)

Third, the advent of the Pick or Rib route.

Notice how the Patriots have taken full advantage of all three!!

  6. This Team still hasn't realized the weapon they have in Tyrod. As soon as he gets outside he is virtually impossible to tackle. He's simply faster than everyone on the opposing defense!  And...watching the Dolphins game, I think TT has finally recognized it.  I'd love to see a steady diet of designed roll outs with safety valves and run options galore. It won't be pretty but the Patriots will die of a thousand cuts.

  7. The problem is the same as it's always been. Back when the Dolphins were a dynasty the NFL favored them it was said because Don Shula was the head of the rules committee. Now the Patriots get the calls, I'm thinking because someone thinks it's good for the sport to have a dynasty team or because Robert Kraft has compromising photos of Goodell...or something.

But it the OP is correct. The officiating is horrible and is yet another reason for the leagues decline.

  8. The zone defense they've played has a lot to do with the long drives and bend don't  break results. It was well displayed in the Dolphins last drive yesterday. Make the opponent drive the length of the field, eating clock and time outs.

With that said Coach needs to focus on tackling basics again this week. They started the season in solid form but have regressed over the past weeks and I saw way too many up high tackles yesterday. Gronk is going to kill them if they don't take his legs out!

New stadium will be near South Newstead

Those who bought the land did so knowing approvals are needed but it will happen. Still Erie County and right down the 90 and 33 from airport

Not living in WNY any longer I had to look South Newstead up on a map. You may be right but I cannot imagine the Traffic mess if they put a stadium on the far east side, past the airport with only one major highway for access....but I don't know the area as well as I used to.
