  1. I'm guessing there are a lot of starting interior lineman that were not taken in the First Round.  With this season pretty much in the crapper, I'd like to see the Bills try out as many of their youngsters as possible.  What more do we have to see from Vlad to know that he's terrible?  And for that matter, what do we need to see from Benjamin?  Put the kids in and let's see what they can do!

But as we've been discussing in these posts, he's the only hope.  If he can't put it together for next season, along with some decent offensive coaching, we're going to be back to wash, rinse, repeat.

Well, the Bills were not in a position to have their cake and eat it too. They just didn’t have a veteran all set up to be a mentor. Tyrod was not that guy. So we’ll see if they can woo a veteran to join the roster in the offseason. For what it’s worth I was in the ‘go get Alex Smith camp’ some years ago but they chose not to go there. If they had, and he was there for the asking, many things would be different.

  3. Thanks Shaw...and yes this is painful to watch.  But the Texans game was there for the taking until Allen went out, and since then the wheels have come off. Win that game and the Bills are a respectable 3-3, on a three out of four roll,  heading to Indianapolis to play a failing Colts team. Instead they limp into Indy without their 'franchise rookie'.  Football is a game of momentum, even from week to week.  I'm guessing this is a pretty deflated Locker Room right now. If the critics know that the Bills are out of it already, don't you think the players do to?  Now, its over, and we have to see if the Coaching Staff can keep the Defense playing at a high level.  If not it's going to feel like the team has yet another set of needs come the offseason.

A lot of you don't get it. Its not that they are losing that is upset them. Its the kind of football that is being played and not being competitive in games is another. In an era where offense is easy to come by and going that many games without a TD is embarrassing. Thats what a lot of fans are upset with.

We ALL know the 2018 Bills stink!! We all have eyes. There’s no debate. The discussion is whether this is/was a necessary purge to go through in order to get to the other side. One side would’ve preferred it was less ugly. The other side is willing to hold their nose. At this point the milk has already been spilled!

  5. I guess you can always blame the owner but you have to be careful what you wish for. Do people really want an Owner who’s meddling with the team? I don’t think so! The Pegulas started out by hiring an experienced Coach. That made sense to me since they were just getting their feet wet. However they immediately corrected the Rex mistake and have gone in a different direction with a young coach and roster to build around (they even got a ‘free’ playoff game out of it) It all seems pretty logical to me...even if the immediate results have been painful to watch.

I expected a rebuild to not have a historically bad offense. Teams rebuild every year, yet somehow manage not to have one of the 5 worst units of all time.

There are a number of teams starting first round quarterbacks this year:

    Browns 2-6-1

    Cardinals 2-6

    Jets 3-7

Bills 2-7 (with Allen at QB in both wins)

i dont really see the big big difference here. Yes, the offense is really really bad. But when you look at the other comparable teams I’m guessing the Bills would actually have the best record of the entire bunch if Allen wasn’t hurt. Again....THIS is what a transitional rebuild year looks like.
