Really smart move. Barkley won the game they asked him to, and looks like he's having fun being a Buffalo Bill. We need more players like that for sure!

Crafty McD keeping the Cheaters in the dark - they'll have to prepare for both backup QBs now
Sounds like Anderson is being prepped for the classic Wildcat role! We'll show those Cheaters.

I don’t know enough about Josh Gordon’s life, mental state or substance abuse problem to make an intelligent comment about it.
Thanks for sharing that. I'm going to put you down as 'undecided' then.

Not hard to figure out. You need a QB and an Offensive Line. Everything else is a distant second. Assuming they have their QB, they need to everything they can to start building a long-lasting O Line. It's about more than just getting good players. It's about having them all come into their peak at the same time, including the QB.

What’s amazing to me is how these organizations seem to think these QBs will change when wearing a different helmet. They don’t! EJ looked like the exact same guy in every game I’ve seen since he left Buffalo. Fitzpatrick is bound to throw the pick in the crucial 4th quarter drive. Tyrod won’t throw the ball at all. And Peterman....well, you know.

This season was pretty much what everyone expected. Nothing much to either remember or to forget. Years from now 2018 will go down as a 16 game gap in the 58 year history of the Buffalo Bills. Yawn!

Am I the only one that says ‘so what’? Aren’t these their standard road uniforms?

remember all of those very serious Bills fans who protected this guy until the bitter end and beyond? practice squad of arguably the biggest tire fire in the NFL. fun stuff. funnnnnnnn stuff.
And all of that happened before the season even ended. From opening day starter to practice squad of the Raiders in just 12 weeks. Nice!

$7 million for a TE? For that kind of money we sure better throw to him more than once a month!

I love it when people say ‘nothing against anyone’ right before trash them! It’s the same as when politicians ‘take full responsibility’ and then proceed to do absolutely nothing.

Yeah, Reed almost worked his way off the team in his first couple of years because of drops, after winning the Belinikoff in college.
Yes! I had almost forgotten about Josh Reed. Great analogy with Zay. I knew he reminded me of someone.

The all reds look like the team’s wearing their pajamas as they settle in for long winters nap. What’s next? Mama in her kerchief?

Thanks Shaw
I might have missed it but the biggest thing we learned is just how important Milano is to this defense! I’m interested in your take on Edmunds at MLB because I continue to be unimpressed.
-
Why are the Bills a WR wasteland? Maybe because they’re last QB refused to throw the ball and they’re current QB is a super raw rookie. Was it that hard to figure out? I think not!

With this sort of anticipated offensive turnover it’s still hard for me to believe people on here wanting a pass rusher or cornerback in Round 1.

The Bills would never ever do it, because they're the Bills, but I think Edmunds belongs on the strong side, with a true MLB that can shut down the run inside.
This! End thread.

I’d like to see more flags picked up when the offense has NOTHING to do with the play. The head referee should be allowed to use more discretion.

The Broncos seem a lot like the Bills from a few years back. They’ve got their Tyrod in Case Keenum and will finish with a respectable record but out of the playoffs. In a year or two they’ll have gone nowhere and look back wondering what we’re they thinking not taking a QB!

I don’t spite Shady at all. I would have traded him for pretty much anything because he isn’t a good player any longer and his production doesn’t justify his cost.
Shady was a great player but we can all see he has lost a step. And for his style of play, losing a step is more impactful than it would be for a North/South runner.
Also, by not trading him and committing to him as a key piece for next season as Beane did, the offensive unit is being set up for failure. Expecting an old RB who can’t get it done to be a key cog will leave a gaping hole when it falls apart.
You and I agree on the basic facts. But... the decision facing the front office will be what can they get for him now, not what could they have gotten for him last summer. Based on this season I doubt anyone will offer much at all, and if true, I’m saying they might as well keep him. They aren’t short on cash.

Matt Barkley extended for two years

I think this is a brilliant move. While nobody around the league was looking, the Bills locked up their QB position for the next few years...and without breaking the bank. In the hit and miss world of backup QBs the team has a not-so-old veteran, with a seemingly great attitude, who can help mentor their young starter. Well done!
