Take the consensus of everyone on here....and reverse the Hits for Misses. Based on history, that's probably about right.

How many times are we going to go over this! NO, you cannot get a 'top' prospect at 21 or 22. By definition, if they're a top prospect what are they still doing in the green room at 21?

So I guess I shouldn't waste my time in the Thread talking about a three way trade with the Bills? Right? (Just saved myself hours!)

Tyrod has NEVER had anything close to a horrible season.
Foles was horrible in 2015 but also a huge disappointment in 2014........he was in Chip Kelly's doghouse before he got hurt. 59% completion 13 TD's and 10 INT. The career putrid Mark Sanchez filled in for him for half of the season and played better than Foles. Let's not pretend that 2015 was the only bad look.
He's most comfortable in the simple RPO offense but he can run hot and cold even then.
Just like your 401K past results are not a guarantee of future performance. Foles could go either way in the years to come. He could catch fire with the confidence that winning a Super Bowl will bring....or he could be a one-hit wonder. That's what makes his story so intriguing. I tend to be the kind that would take a chance on a guy who's at least PROVEN he can win on the big stage. Sunday's win was not in spite of Foles. On the contrary, without his performance the Eagles are not holding a parade this week!

Simple Economics, Foles trade value will never be higher.
Wentz is the guy. This was a rare look at a backup Qb winning a SB
If I was the Eagles, I trade now and clean up
House....you are correct! The Eagles have roster needs just like every other team. If ANY team can get top dollar, or draft picks, for a back-up on their current roster, they'd make that deal in a heart beat! The Bills would to.
-
Wentz is going to be fine. He’s young and he’s not a running QB.
-
I thought he was referring to the Benjamin being a Number 1 line
-
Files will never be more valuable than right now.... and the Eagles know it. If they’re smart they unload him while the getting is good! If the pundits are correct his trade value will drop significantly next year, or if his contract is up....he’ll just walk. Just the same as the Bills with Sammy
-
This board is all over the place....as is to be expected. But as for me, if it’s between the reigning Super Bowl MVP and Kirk Cousins, I’ll take the guy who’s actually just won meaningful playoff games every day! And if what I was hearing on one of the networks is true, that you can get Foles for a second round pick?....where do we sign? No brainer!
-
There is no such thing as a stop gap QB. The people running the Bills want to win every game. They spend much less time on this topic than fans do. You have to remember that even the coaching staff is on a short leash. It’s a results oriented business and there are few guarantees that this savior rookie that many on here are pining for will ever amount to anything!
-
I believe the Bills would get the combined total of both picks allotted time slots to make either BOTH picks, or BOTH trades.
-
All this shows is that Buffalo is a hard core football market. It doesn’t say anything about how much or little else there is to do in WNY. There are plenty of other open Sundays for people to do those other things. In fact there are six months of Sunday’s all stacked up and waiting now. My guess is NOBODY in Buffalo will be watching the NFL this coming Sunday. ?

The chances of ever seeing the Super Bowl MVP being available for draft picks that the Bills already have are slim to none. Go get Nick Foles and let’s get on with it already!!

I'd trade Shaq for Foles, sure. I would not trade either of our 2 picks this year for him. I'd rather take my chances with Bradford or Bridgewater. I think the Eagles hold on to Foles anyway.
You do realize hindsight is 20:20 right? The chances of getting a true starter from the Draft is pretty much a crap shoot. I’ll take a semi proven relatively proven veteran every day.
Just now, 26CornerBlitz said:It means for much of his career Nick Foles has not played as well as he showed in the playoffs. It appears that he's a system specific QB who needs to be supported by very good coaching/personnel to succeed. All food for thought when contemplating acquiring him.
OK...that makes more sense...thanks! But I’m always reading on here that every successful player is ‘System specific’ both in the pros and college. I didn’t see much ‘system’ yesterday from Foles. I saw a guy reading a defense, throwing to open receivers...and dropping the deep ball into a tea cup on the sidelines and at the back of the end zone over and over again. What did you see?

What does Shaq Lawson have to do with Shady? I'm trying to figure out where I said anything about Shaq Lawson.
You mentioned that you’d only give a SECOND for Foles. My point is that I’d happily trade our last FIRST (Shaq) for Foles....in a heartbeat!

Right! Because that's the Nick Foles who shows up each and every game he's played in the NFL. No questions at all about his ability to sustain play at that level irrespective of what team he might play for. Nope, none at all.
With all due respect...I have no idea what your response means.
-
It would seem that you’d want the spend first round picks on positions that have a longer shelf life. Has anyone ever studied which roster spots have the longest NFL careers by average.....except kickers of course.

People crack me up! They don’t want a Super Bowl MVP QB but they do want some college kid who’s never played professional football? Really? Go get me Nick Foles!
12 minutes ago, rodneykm said:Absolutely would not even entertain the idea of dealing McCoy. If I'm GM, he's a Bill for the rest of his career. He means that much to the team.
Now, if the Eagles want a 2nd rounder and maybe a 5th....fine, but I am not paying more than that for Foles.
So you’d want Shaq Lawson over Nick Foles? Honestly?
-
Really cool! They had the NE tip interception on the TV in the background. Pretty cool.

You had to wait a little longer for This is Us? JK!
Did anyone notice that they had the actual super bowl footage from YESTERDAY on in the background of that show? Really wild how they did that.
-
Give the Eagles both of our 1sts and get Foles. Let’s get a QB for goodness sakes.
-
There is no way TT throws a couple of those touchdown passes no matter how long he has in the pocket. Foles dropped those things in a tea cup at the back of the end zone! TT wouldn’t even keep it in the field of play.

Nick Foles has no interest playing anywhere other than Philly. He'll either hold the clipboard behind Wentz in '18 or move on from football.
Yeah right! The guy just won the Super Bowl! He’s going to be happy holding a clipboard? Yeah I’m sure that’s right.
-
But they could’ve avoided a bunch of drama by simply staying in bounds and running the clock out before the last touchdown. Poor clock management. The Pats would’ve gotten the ball back with no timeouts and just a few seconds on the clock.

I'd reverse Rudolph and Hurst at 21 and 22. We don't want the new QB getting too big of a head case. And, we can always then say, at least he wasn't our first pick when nobody ever hears from him again.![;) ;)](https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/uploads/emoticons/default_wink.png)
