There two sides to this coin. While you can say we’re hurt by playing the better teams on the road, you could also say we benefit by piling up wins against lesser teams at home. So…I don’t buy the victimhood narrative.

Having just made the trip to London myself I can tell you that a coaching staff has to be totally brain dead to make the trip later in the week. You definitely need more than that to adjust to the time change.

Excellent thread and great observation. I’m just glad to see them make the moves to replace the injured starters. I honestly thought they might just stick with what they had. Let’s face it, going into the season you don’t know who’ll get hurt and at what position but when you do, you have a choice to roll with your backups or go and get replenishments. The Bills did the latter. They were down a RB, CB, DT and LB. They replaced three of the four. So I’m hoping that says something about the LB core and the chance of Milano returning.

I always find these really interesting and so I try to guess the games just by looking at the map. Anybody know why a small area of north Texas wants to see Washington play New England? What’s the connection?

True but there’s a scheme you have to know, and you have to be able to switch to the right coverage in a matter of less than a second. I can’t recall who it was last week (maybe Rapp) but on one of Tampa’s big gains the ‘corner’ dropped his man off to the sideline thinking someone would be there….but nobody was and the receiver was completely uncovered.
