I have no interest in backing into the playoffs. I’m looking at our playoff schedule starting a week ahead of the rest of the league. The Week 18 Miami game in all likelihood will be a play-in game for the Bills….which I think is great!

I love these maps. Anybody know why people in that little blotch of SW Florida want to see Chicago v Cleveland? What’s the connection?

Los Angeles is a neutral site. Have you seen a Chargers home game? 😂 Your average NFL fan doesn’t want to go to Buffalo in February. They just don’t. Thats not going to change no matter how many hotel rooms they can cobble together.

I always find the draft myths, legends and statistics interesting. If each team has 22 starters and you figure the average player’s career is five years that means you have to replace EVERY player in Rounds 1-5 over that five year period. Yes, I know it’s not exact. And yes I know you’ll pick up a guy in free agency….but that guy you picked up was almost surely taken by someone else in Round 1-5. So….where you take a player has never been all that important to me. Eventually you’re going to assemble and then reassemble your roster from those Five Rounds.

Exactly I don’t need three hours of schtick. Seems like he does it on every single play now.

The dude that’s really starting to wear on me is the guy who’s constantly yelling on every play as if it’s the first time he’s called a football game (Gus Johnson?)

I remember being allowed to stay up on a school night just praying the Bills would be among those highlights. We rarely were. 😂

I’d settle for the goal line play where the TE pretends to block and slips out the backside to be standing all alone in the end zone. I’ve been waiting FIFTY years for the Bills to run that play instead of some lame fade pattern to the back pylon. Fingers crossed that this is the week. 🤞🏽

Pressbox, sideline, wherever. Look at how many guys are standing around Joe Brady with binoculars on. I’m pretty sure they all have a cell phone. 😉 You’d think one of those dudes should be assigned to actually communicating stuff like that. No? Seems pathetic of the Chiefs to blame the refs for something they could’ve easily corrected long before it cost them a game.

You missed the Howard Cossell era then. The entire nation would tune in just to hear what he and Don Meredith would have to say. It was great fun!

In my now retired life I’ve learned it isn’t about money. These guys entire existence is wrapped up in their ‘job’. You’ve got it right when you say move over and let the new guys do their thing.

It seems to me that many people these days are having real trouble calling it quits before they’ve past their prime. When you get to a certain stage or age it’s time to move on and let the next generation take these limited spots. I’m all for tradition but you have to look in a mirror.

I don’t look at it that way at all. I look at like the playoffs start a week early for the Bills. Which as a fan I prefer over a meaningless Week 18 game.

Well isn’t that why they have about a million coaches standing around on the sidelines? It’s not their job to tell players that it doesn’t look like the refs are calling stuff. It’s there job to tell their players to line up correctly!

Shaw, they showed on NFL Network how Toney had actually lined up that way on at least three occasions prior that play. I cannot believe the Chiefs coaching staff had the nerve to trash the refs when they themselves had plenty of opportunities to correct him before it cost them the game.

I’ll try and understate it for you. Yes, it’d be super helpful to win this one but I actually think the Chiefs game and the three after Dallas are way more important (at least seeing now how other things have happened). It’s quite possible that regardless of how the Bills do on Sunday, they’ll be playing for the Division title in Miami.

Negative? How so? The point of being a football team is to win games. It isn’t to make it really hard for the team that just beat you to win their next game.

Very true. The other thing that always amazes me is how the players interact with each other after the game. The idiotic fans can be getting in fist fights in the stands but the players all gather together to take pictures with their buddies and congratulate the opponent….except for Mahomes of course. 😉

I’m always screaming at the TV when the director insists on camera shots of the coach staring blindly into space ….except when Vrabel is coaching. He’s freaking hilarious! 👍

Football is a game of emotion and momentum. I’m always interested in what the teams will know at game time each week. This weekend will be interesting. There are three Saturday games, ALL of which have an impact on the Bills postseason chances, and they’ll obviously know the outcome of all three prior to taking the field late on Sunday.
