  1. Thanks for sharing. Every angle reveals something new. This one shows how open Shakir was on the far side. I have little doubt he wouldn’t have easily made the first down. It’s the risk the defense takes when they blitz. With that said, throwing back across his body into the left hand flat would’ve required a super human effort. So Josh throws it to a WIDE OPEN tight end who’s completely uncovered on the play. If this was any other play in the course of a long season we’d just accept the reception, take the first down, and move on.
  2. Definitely, but the end zone angle shows that Josh knew exactly what he was doing and exactly who he was throwing to. When I saw the play live, from the sideline camera, my initial reaction was what a mess! But when you see it from behind you realize it wasn’t a mess at all. The play was designed with two levels of crossing receivers giving Josh options as to the depth of the throw. Yes, it was hurried by the blitz but Josh clearly collects himself and throws it with an arc NOT out of desperation but rather to get it over the blitzers AND to give his wide open tight end time to adjust. Would he preferred to lead him more towards the sideline….absolutely. But he picked out the open receiver and got both the depth and arc correct. Pretty darn impressive, really!
  3. Ugh…and a professional receiver is expected to make BOTH catches. It’s not about the equality of the difficulty it’s about the equality of the result. One week the Bills benefited from a dropped catch and the very next week they suffered from it.
  4. Bingo! Very well said Shaw. As fans (fanatics) we tend to overlook the plays that go in our favor. Just look back a couple weeks to Ty’s miraculous catch at the back of the end zone. For the Bills to eventually (if ever) want to win a Lombardi it’s almost certainly going to come down to a play very similar to Kincaid’s on Sunday evening. Unfortunately, like so many many times in Bills folklore, the ball tragically went right through his waiting arms. Maybe next year! Go Bills
  5. It shouldn’t have gotten to that point….but it did. In THAT moment you have to catch the ball or you go home. It’s that simple. Ask Mark Andrews.
  6. Had to? Yes….you have to make that catch if you want to go to the Superbowl. It’s no different than a guy who has to hit the penalty kick, make the three point buzzer beater, catch the fly ball at the wall. Everything else that happened in the game, or on that play, makes no difference if you catch the ball. Now, should Kincaid be crucified? Of course not. But it was the season-deciding play.
  7. You don’t back your way into the Superbowl. He simply HAS TO make that catch in that moment. The exact same way Mark Andrews HAD TO make the catch on a two point conversion throw that was slightly behind him just one week ago. No?
  8. It wasn’t a bullet. It wasn’t over his head. Kincaid doesn’t have a defender draped on him. He makes the adjustment while the ball, a lob, is in the air and the ball literally goes right through his arms.
  9. Players make plays. Did the blitz impact that final play? Yes, it did, but NOT the way so many on here believe. The Chiefs blitzed off our right side, meaning they dropped into coverage on the left side. So is Shakir open in the left flat? Yes….but he’d get swarmed. Did Josh get hurried? Yes…but he’d actually gets the pass off despite the blitz, and throws up a receiver friendly throw to Kincaid who’s wide open BECAUSE of the blitz, not in SPITE of it. Kincaid proceeds to drop it.
  10. You aren’t going to blow out the Chiefs in KC. The game ended up EXACTLY like the betting line. We had the ball with the chance to win it and blew it.
  11. Not sure what all of this about. Just the week before, Mark Andrews dropped a sure two point conversion and the Ravens went home. This week Kincaid dropped a sure field goal yard to gain catch and the Bills went home. It’s pretty darn simple!
  12. The Bills played just fine. If Kincaid catches that throw…they win. Period!
  13. I wouldn’t be either shocked or disappointed if the Bills went Defense with EVERY draft pick this Spring. Unfortunately I’m also of the camp that believes McD will then proceed to neuter every single one of them. Sigh
  14. And yet Josh threw it right into the hands of our First Round draft pick Tight End….who proceeded to let the ball go right through his arms. That’s NOT on Josh! It just isn’t.
  15. Not sure what people are talking about here. The ball went right through his arms! He adjusted to it just fine. He simply failed on a catch that a professional should complete every single time.
  16. I agree. The replays from the sideline looked like Josh threw up a prayer, but the end zone angle show he very much so was throwing to a wide open Kincaid who flat out missed it. Inexcusable!
  17. Dude! He threw up a desperation prayer! It wasn’t a laser. Should Kincaid have caught it? I guess so. But should it come down to that prayer of a chuck shot? ABSOLUTELY NOT
  18. Legacies are made by what you do in the clutch….not how nervous you were at the start. Josh flat out blew it tonight. How many quarterbacks have put together a career defining drive in that moment? But not Josh Allen. I love the guy but it was in his hands to put the team on his back, go get the touchdown, and carry the team to the Superbowl. He didn’t!
  19. You get the ball with over three minutes left. This shouldn’t come down to Josh throwing up a prayer to get a simple first down. Did Kincaid drop it…yep. And he has been nothing short of disappointing. But Josh needs to make the plays on first, second and third downs before it ever came down to it. Choke? No. But unable to close the deal AGAIN….most certainly. His legacy is being cemented season after season after season after season.
  20. Come on people! The Bills got the ball with over 3 minutes left and all three timeouts. Josh simply didn’t get it done. To date it defines his legacy.
  21. Classic Bills game. Just not good enough….as always. Keep hoping against hope that the opposition will beat themselves (which is how we beat the Ravens) but with McD as the head of the spear this team will NEVER get to the top of the pyramid. Never.
  22. He has to be fired! What is the point anymore?
  23. Out coached again. Fire McD and let’s move on! This is going nowhere.
  24. Has anyone noticed how HORRIBLE Rasul Douglas has been playing?
