    Miami 31 Buffao 17 The Bills aren’t going to get away with the slow start and sloppy secondary play against a Dolphins team who’ll obviously be treating this game as a critical step to winning the AFCE.

    What’s really bad is when NFL Network replays/delays the broadcast of preseason games and still run their score ticker at the bottom of the screen, meaning that you have to avoid looking at the scores if you don’t want to see what happened in the game you’re actually watching! I used to literally tape a piece of cardboard to the bottom of the television. Sheeesh

    People don’t seem to understand that we have a societal compact. As citizens, we’ve agreed to cede over confrontational authority to the police in a trade for taking the law into our own hands. For our part in this trade we’re expected to treat the police with some level of respect and compliance. Period!

    I’m not sure what people are looking for. You protect your franchise QB. You lock in your offensive linemen and develop continuity. You simply can’t have moving parts all over the offensive side of the ball. Beane appears to be of the mindset that RB and WR are the positions where you can have flexibility from year to year. We’ll all find out if he’s right.

    I have to agree with the OP. The blocking on his first touchdown was unbelievable! I could’ve scored on that play…and I’m old.

    In a year where so many (including myself) predict a slow start with a huge learning curve, the Bills do the most Billsy of things and win in a Week One blow out: Bills 42 Cardinals 10 Dare I say…..cakewalk?

    There are a few newer soccer stadiums that are designed with standing only ‘seats’ in the end zones, and even a few NFL stadiums that now feature what I call ‘milling around’ areas for those who just want to drink and chat.

    They do the same thing in the English Premier League (as well as just about every American sport) and the alternatives never look all that good. Sometimes, they are downright awful. I know it's all about selling merchandise, but why would anyone want to buy an ugly version from their favorite team? Makes literally no sense to me.

    Folks on here know way more that I do about all these Cap gyrations, but geez this is complicated. Somehow, something seems to be way out of whack in the modern NFL. Way too much invested in certain players and then the rest of the roster, and the Front Office is left to juggle the scraps that fall from the table. It all seems very disfunctional.

    Good….sure, most likely. At our age Shaw we’re kinda looking for ‘great’….at least once. So I’ll enjoy 2024 in hopes that the proverbial blind squirrel has to find a nut once in a while. 😁
