  1. Obviously…but my question still remains. There must be a correct answer. And if the answer is that you cannot take ANYTHING with you then the National Archives (yet another pathetic department) needs to have people on hand when these offices are vacated to avoid this nonsense. The older I get, the more I’ve learned that this government of ours cannot do anything right.
  2. Over the last few months I have heard every possible talking head give every possible narrative on this issue. There must be a correct answer. On one extreme I’ve heard some say that you cannot take ANY papers out of your office that you didn’t bring in with you when you were elected. On the other extreme others are of course talking about Classified papers and who can take them. Both cannot be true!
  3. That’s your response? Trump didn’t tell anyone to FABRICATE votes. He asked that they look for ballots/votes to make up the slim margin. There’s a huge difference!
  4. Are we going to see the staged photo of Biden’s papers spread out on his garage floor today? If not….why not?
  5. I may be wrong but I’ve always said it stems back to Hillary. She is and was the source. Others just picked it up and ran with it, seeing as how they suffered no ill effects from the narrative.
  6. I agree Frank. We all know the reasons why the politicians don’t want to simplify things. What I can never figure out is why any taxpayer would argue against it. Yes, I know, some are afraid it would benefit upper earners, but they’re looking at it aa if everything else would stay the same. It wouldn’t. Nobody really cares what their gross pay is. You only care what your net pay is. A simple computer program could adjust everyone’s income in a single tax year. Then, you start all over with everyone paying into the system at the same percentage regardless of the source from which your income was generated.
  7. Where are you at out here Bear?
  8. Not so fast everyone. After getting into the playoffs with a losing record Monday might just be Brady’s last game if the Cowboys D Line can put a pounding in him. If so, I cannot see him wanting to start over with yet another team.
  9. I’d like the dominating win not because of resting our starters, or any of the other things mentioned here, but because I think it would be good for the team’s psyche going into the next round hosting Cincinnati. There have been too many ‘squeak by’ victories even if the point differential doesn’t seem to show it.
  10. I really have to ask….how old are you? What’s with the freaks, bro, and cult language? What adult talks that way? None that I know.
  11. Oh come on! You really have to be kidding me. Now you want to get rid of sales tax? That’s a new one. But I’ll play your lunatic leftist game. Let’s have everyone pay the same percentage of their income in taxes. Happy now?
  12. For the love of everything holy! I’m not talking about a progressive sales tax! My point was that you currently pay a flat tax that we call a sales tax, and pretty much nobody ever even thinks about or has the ability to cheat on it. Nobody complains…at least not very much…they just pay it. I’d love to see the same thing for income tax. Get rid of all the deductions and simplify the entire mess. But the difference will be that just like sales tax EVERYONE will pay it! Let’s see how many people vote to raise that tax then. Got it?
  13. Thanks, that’s what I’m beginning to surmise, but nobody is saying it out loud. Instead we get the narrative that he lied about attending some college that nobody ever heard of. I’m willing to bet that virtually nobody in his district knows where his resume says he went to college. I know I’ve never asked that if a candidate in my own district.
  14. Ugh! I’m not proposing a progressive sales tax! My point is you pay a flat tax on everything you buy and nobody blinks and eye and no auditing is required. It can be done, and is. In an ideal world I’d love to see flat income tax, but I realize many would want some progressiveness in it, so I’m willing to compromise there. Make sense?
  15. Help me out here…as I honestly don’t know. Is the contention that he lied about working for Goldman Sachs? How did that come up in his campaign and why would working at a big Wall Street firm be considered a plus? Or….did he lie about his ‘lifestyle’ and beliefs?
  16. Thanks! All the more reason to move towards a slightly progressive flat tax. Don’t believe me? Ask yourself when you’ve ever been audited for sales tax?
  17. I learned a long time ago that people who run these governmental departments are just like their middle management counterparts in the private sector. They have one goal: increasing their staff, pay, and with it a sense of authority/importance. As I told my younger managers, nobody is ever going to come to you and say ‘I don’t have anything to do’. So they keep their head down and if asked they tell their bosses that they’re super busy. Somehow the public sector has never learned this simple lesson.
  18. What Santos did was utterly ridiculous…of course. With that said, I know nothing at all about the race he ran, or how he advertised himself. Do any of you? I’ve said it before…I’ve voted for hundreds of candidates over the decades and I don’t know where a single one of them went to college. Did Santos run unopposed? What was his opponent doing during the entire campaign?
  19. So let me get this straight….the IRS is currently going after small time taxpayers because it doesn’t have enough people? And it’s the talking point narrative that once they achieve the magic number of staff they’ll suddenly go after big time taxpayers instead of just MORE small time cheaters? Sure they will! Classic government nonsense. We can’t do our jobs because we’re ‘underfunded’. Works on the Left every single time.
  20. Wait….The President cannot have any documents when he leaves office? Are you sure? And if So then Biden is equally guilty.
  21. I think you’ll find that the vast majority of people in this country get along just fine. Don’t let the news media, Twitter, or the race baiters taint what you know from your personal experience to be true.
  22. TurboTax is not an accountant. And your paper route can’t possibly qualify as income. Unless of course you’re delivering them all over Connecticut. If so, I hope you got a new bicycle for Christmas.
  23. You’re the legal scholar here. Wouldn’t Trump simply say “I thought I had declassified those documents”? Biden on the other hand has no such defense.
  24. Let us know when you’re old enough to pay taxes and we’ll explain what this discussion is all about.
