  1. Thanks, that’s what I’m beginning to surmise, but nobody is saying it out loud. Instead we get the narrative that he lied about attending some college that nobody ever heard of. I’m willing to bet that virtually nobody in his district knows where his resume says he went to college. I know I’ve never asked that if a candidate in my own district.
  2. Ugh! I’m not proposing a progressive sales tax! My point is you pay a flat tax on everything you buy and nobody blinks and eye and no auditing is required. It can be done, and is. In an ideal world I’d love to see flat income tax, but I realize many would want some progressiveness in it, so I’m willing to compromise there. Make sense?
  3. Help me out here…as I honestly don’t know. Is the contention that he lied about working for Goldman Sachs? How did that come up in his campaign and why would working at a big Wall Street firm be considered a plus? Or….did he lie about his ‘lifestyle’ and beliefs?
  4. Thanks! All the more reason to move towards a slightly progressive flat tax. Don’t believe me? Ask yourself when you’ve ever been audited for sales tax?
  5. I learned a long time ago that people who run these governmental departments are just like their middle management counterparts in the private sector. They have one goal: increasing their staff, pay, and with it a sense of authority/importance. As I told my younger managers, nobody is ever going to come to you and say ‘I don’t have anything to do’. So they keep their head down and if asked they tell their bosses that they’re super busy. Somehow the public sector has never learned this simple lesson.
  6. What Santos did was utterly ridiculous…of course. With that said, I know nothing at all about the race he ran, or how he advertised himself. Do any of you? I’ve said it before…I’ve voted for hundreds of candidates over the decades and I don’t know where a single one of them went to college. Did Santos run unopposed? What was his opponent doing during the entire campaign?
  7. So let me get this straight….the IRS is currently going after small time taxpayers because it doesn’t have enough people? And it’s the talking point narrative that once they achieve the magic number of staff they’ll suddenly go after big time taxpayers instead of just MORE small time cheaters? Sure they will! Classic government nonsense. We can’t do our jobs because we’re ‘underfunded’. Works on the Left every single time.
  8. Wait….The President cannot have any documents when he leaves office? Are you sure? And if So then Biden is equally guilty.
  9. I think you’ll find that the vast majority of people in this country get along just fine. Don’t let the news media, Twitter, or the race baiters taint what you know from your personal experience to be true.
  10. TurboTax is not an accountant. And your paper route can’t possibly qualify as income. Unless of course you’re delivering them all over Connecticut. If so, I hope you got a new bicycle for Christmas.
  11. You’re the legal scholar here. Wouldn’t Trump simply say “I thought I had declassified those documents”? Biden on the other hand has no such defense.
  12. Let us know when you’re old enough to pay taxes and we’ll explain what this discussion is all about.
  13. Who has lawyers clear out their office? How dumb do these people think we are?
  14. One game at a time everyone! All of this chatter about people wanting the game close to where they live is really bad juju.
  15. So you’re saying that when you return the stolen diamonds the police are going to say “it’s all good”? Sure they are!
  16. On the contrary, the two instances are incredibly similar. The distinguishing difference is that a President has the constitutional authority to declare the papers non classified, and a Vice President does not.
  17. Isn’t Biden already guilty by the sheer fact that he reported the papers were reviewed by his lawyers, not by him, and not by someone with a security clearance?
  18. Sounds like you’re an analytics guy. Shoot the three pointer instead of the layup. I tend to be more of a keep moving the sticks sort of a guy. To each his own.
  19. Yet look at the sideline of your local high school or national college team and there are dozens of players who’ll never step on the field but they’re allowed to dress and celebrate with their teammates. The NFL should fix that. (Heck…the typical coach’s niece is there holding a water bottle. 😉)
  20. Well we agree then on more than you might think. And, I think if high earning taxpayers didn’t think they were throw their money down an out of control rat hole you’d see even less tax aversion. Until EVERYONE has skin in the game nothing changes….which is exactly how the political class wants it. So you agree that the IRS is terribly run? Wonderful!
  21. I’m sure someone knows the answer to this but since all that’s left now are the 14 playoff teams, are the teams not able to ‘activate’ all of their practice squad players? If not, they should be! How cool would it be for some of those players to be in uniform during an NFL playoff game?
  22. I loved what I saw from Josh in last year’s playoffs. It was like he suddenly discovered Singletary was just sitting there underneath, right in front of the dropping LBs (much like Kelly used Thurman to keep drives alive) and those dump down passes made the deep ball work even better.
  23. And it’s your position that the IRS is currently going after ‘little money’ cheaters?
  24. Lighten up Frank. I have nothing to hide. I’m the one paying for everything. And you appear to be the one thinking guys like me are getting away with ‘stuff’.
