Honest question: I see defensive linemen listed as either DE or Edge in most mock drafts…what’s the distinction? Is a DE generally considered less of a pass rusher? Or is an Edge more of Linebacker? Or is it all about the alignment they typically played such as 4-3 or 3-4?

I’m not here to be at anyone’s throat. I’m here for the humorous takes on the seemingly endless number of topics I see being batted around every waking minute of every day. 😁

I’m assuming it’ll have to be steeper. When you build up out of the ground the entire facility needs to be more vertical to both reduce the footprint and stack the structure. That’ll help for those who have trouble seeing over the heads of fans who are standing in front of them.

Rich Stadium has good sight lines because it is a football-only facility, built into the ground without a roof, meaning that the first row can be closer to the field (no track, etc) and the grandstands are generally shallower without the need to be as vertical as in an above ground roofed structure.

I’m aware Tibs. But it must be based on something. This was not a case brought by the government as a means to a greater good. This was brought by one private company against another. I’d be curious to see how they proved the damage.

Not in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. Having been to games in both stadiums, they are utterly fantastic!

Pardon for me not reading through all the chatter, but if I understand this case correctly the plaintiff, a private company that makes voting machines, sued because they believe their reputation was damaged? How exactly? Isn’t their primary customer base a bunch of left leaning government bureaucrats who’d have actually increased their sales if the alleged cheating had been true? Honest question…Did a government agency cancel a pending order for their product?

I’m not sure why this is complicated to anyone. You roam in the wilderness for years hoping against hope that by luck or good scouting you can find a QB worthy of paying the really big bucks. Once you have one you lock him into a long time contract and then spend the next decade roaming around that same wilderness but this trying to vacuum up mid level veterans and ‘under paid’ rookies just so you can afford to keep that QB. It’s really that simple. For almost twenty years the Bills were in the first stage of wilderness roaming and now they’re in the second. (Time to turn some draft picks into some on the field contributors! Get ‘er done!)

Weo…I live in California. Believe me when I say that my taxes have and will continue to be thoroughly and relentlessly ‘taken’. On that I feel your pain. If you follow the news we’ve been supposedly building a $10 BILLION bullet train for well over a decade and to date it has managed to travel absolutely nowhere. I therefore recommend you show them big time by going and sitting in that stadium for as many hours as is humanly possible. 👍

Well on that we DEFINITELY agree! I’m all for keeping more for myself. But…since they’re taking the taxes anyway I’d rather have a stadium to show for it. 😉

Come on Weo….Let me ask you this? What do your prefer the State does with it’s tax money? Let me guess….social service programs?

I may be wrong but I’ve always figured an Offensive Guard should be able to start right away and would certainly be an every down guy. I’d love to get a couple of young guards who’d cheaply anchor the middle of the line for the remainder of Josh’s contract. It’s not flashy but it’s a solid investment.

This one is more interesting than the first mock. And if I’m doing the math correctly we are only at 27 and there’s already just ONE player left with a first round rating? Seems to me that ship has sailed then. Take the player at a position of most need and cross your fingers. Based on the list in the poll there are plenty of players to choose from and your chances of picking the ‘right’ one are about as good at throwing a dart on a board, blindfolded.

Yes I am. And I literally guarantee I know more about how the construction market works than you do. But go ahead, keep complaining. I’m sure your opinion has been duly noted by those in charge. 😉

I’m not sure where you went to economics school but it doesn’t work that way. It is NOT a zero sum game! Using your premise, since everyone is already working, the stadium construction site will be empty. Not a single pick up truck to be found….cause everyone already has a job…or something like that. (Please excuse the snarky tone, but I think we ALL know by now that you hate the very idea of the project.)

Trust me….All of the sight and lighting lines will be studied, especially those important to television. The modern NFL is basically a big TV show after all.

Oh brother. So you’re saying that NY State based contractors won’t be working on the stadium. Sure they won’t. The workers are all going to drive in from California every day. It’ll be a long day but it’s good work if you can get it.

I’ve mentioned this many times in the past on this topic. The stadium is at its core a large construction project. The money that goes into essentially stays right in WNY and is pumped right back into the local economy via construction worker’s paychecks who then use that money to buy goods, products and services right there in WNY, of which a large percentage goes right back into the State’s coffers in the form of property, sales, and income taxes. I’m sure it doesn’t make you feel any better, but is the absolute truth. There’s virtually no better investment of State money than a construction project.

For those that want to sit under a roof, might I suggest that you purchase tickets that are…what’s the phrase I’m looking for….oh yeah…UNDER THE ROOF!

I almost posted a screenshot on Saturday morning. The Tottenham stadium was on USA Network. If the new Bills stadium looks anywhere near as nice as that one does on television you’ll be just fine.

I’m not going to take you as an expert on the Republican Party but yes it’s true that the President always has an influence. With that said, Trump was essentially non existent prior to 2015, and nobody gave him a shot in 2016. The rest of my comments still stand and it’s abundantly clear that you know pretty much nothing about the movement he’s inspired. By the way I noticed how you changed my comment about Trump not calling out Left leaning voters, to YOUR words of “private citizens”….which is NOT what I said. Nice try though!

I’m aware…that’s why I laughed at your post. (Although that emoji can be taken in different ways.) This offseason has gone almost exactly as I saw it going. Beane had very little wiggle room unless he wanted to risk tearing it down, to build it up. I think OBD chalked 2022 up to injuries, weather, etc. They’ve decided to let it ride for one more year. I’d still love for someone to post and pin a summary.
