Thanks. That’s a simple, great breakdown. While I realize the players association stepped in long ago to reduce rookie salaries, it’s still hard for me to get my mind around the fact that Robert Woods just signed a contract as a maybe at best a Number 2 or 3 WR that will pay him more than a team’s entire draft allocation. Geeez! Seems to me that the pendulum has swung way too far.

What’s really sad is that this dude could’ve gotten up there and pledged his undying allegiance to Ukraine, climate change, trans rights, and every other ‘progressive’ cause and Ms Bush STILL would’ve read the same prewritten script given to her by her band of merry interns. 😂

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve mentioned this before. I worked for decades in and around State government and I saw it so many times. In the case of the federal government most of these people simply don’t know anything else. They’ve been in Washington for so long that it’s become their home, their social circle, and essentially their entire life. They’re not there to use their experience and wisdom as public ‘servants’. They’re there because just like the classic Richard Gere line from Officer and a Gentleman they’ve “got nowhere else to go”! It’s sad and pathetic and needs to stop. The voters in these districts are not doing anyone a favor.

So using this logic, ALL of the banks should be shutting down any second now. I hope you can excuse me while I head to the ATM. I’ll be right back. 😉

This is going to sound odd based on a lot of the discussion around here, but the current Bills player that reminds me of Taylor is Gabe Davis. I have no idea if their physical measurements are anywhere close to the same.

We’re definitely going to disagree there. While not sexy, this team desperately needs two young stud Guards to anchor the middle of the line for the remaining years of Allen’s contract. They’ll be cheap for the duration, and improve both the passing and running game way more than a rookie WR that at the very best will catch four passes per game (maybe one or two more than Gabe would’ve caught).

I don’t completely disagree but I’m more interested in using draft picks on positions that are in way worse shape, like the offensive line. Remember this thread is about Pick 27.

I disagree on Davis. He’s definitely had his moments. Many of them. His problem is consistency in hanging onto the ball when challenged at the point of the catch. The coaching staff can definitely work on that with him. As regards the other skill positions, Singletary has consistently been merely average at best, and Knox simply isn’t thrown to in this offense.

Wow! You missed the ENTIRE point of his report. The central theme was NOT that what happened was excusable, appropriate or should encouraged. His point was that your government is LYING to you. And….they did! To prove his point he shared specific examples of just that. He was NOT making an overarching finding about the protest. Wake up!
