  1. We differ a bit. Josh had open options underneath, ant least against the Bengals anyway, including on the final interception of the game. He simply wasn’t taking them, or waiting too long to go to them, or in the case of the final drive of the first half, which would’ve kept us in the game, threw the ball badly over a wide open Singletary’s head thus killing the drive, and our chances. I’m not really sure why.
  2. There’s nothing healthy about being a Bills fan at our age Augie. 😉
  3. Really appreciate the work that goes into these mocks. This one scares me to death! Whenever I review a Mock the first thing I do is look at the players taken immediately following the Bills. In other words who did we pass up. This mock has the Bengals and Chiefs taking a TE and WR right behind us. Why do I think both of their picks will be around for years, while I’ll be reading the ‘we could’ve had…’ threads about our guy come playoff time.
  4. I’ll have my usual tons of enthusiasm…. and literally ZERO expectations.
  5. All very true. So the question is if we all know that, why don’t the Bills coaches? The performance against the Bengals was unworthy on all levels. When a player has a sub par game, it’s clear someone had a bad day, or is injured…it happens. When EVERYONE underperforms, I blame the coaches.
  6. With all due respect, I believe you’re missing the point. The idea isn’t to go into the huddle with the intent of checking the ball down. The idea is for the QB to scan the field, and take the open receivers. Move the chains, and keep the drive moving. Josh failed to do that time and time again…which by the way exposes the weakness of the O Line, causing them to block longer than they have the skill set to do.
  7. A football game is not like running a marathon. You’re not out there on the open road all alone, with just you and your distracted mind. Who the heck is supposed to talking to, or yelling at, Josh DURING the game? Someone is supposed to be telling him that guys are open EVERYWHERE underneath if he’d just take the easy completion and move the darn chains. That was clearly the case against the Bengals but either nobody was telling him, or he simply wasn’t listening. Either way…it’s not good!
  8. Some posters on here act like this is all random, like a dice game. It’s not. The Bills coaching staff has now 100% proven they can get a team to the playoffs. After the first year or two at that level and you’ve acquired a tremendous amount of experience. Home playoff games…check. Road playoff games…check. Good weather, bad weather, repeat opponents, new opponents, divisional opponents ….check, check, check. With that kind of resume and experience it’s NOT good luck, or bad luck when your team isn’t prepared to play like they weren’t against the Bengals. It’s just a flat out failure to be so unprepared, come out flat, and then do absolutely nothing about it after halftime! Period.
  9. Is there any way to ban the Bills scouting department from looking at Defensive Linemen?
  10. Beane and McD need to stop reading the press clippings. This team is not the best team in the league. They need to get back to work with this year’s draft. There’s a lot to be done. To me, it starts with the offensive line. If they don’t fix that, everything else is fool’s gold. Protect Josh Allen in the passing game and improve the running game to take pressure off Allen. If he goes down with an injury…it’s over!
  11. The HUGE mistake was drafting Basham. Not sure what they were thinking there but I knew it when the name was called. Another defensive lineman? That mistake became more apparent when they then felt they had to also go get Von Miller. At some point you have to draft offensive lineman.
  12. No offense, but you seem to think the fans get a vote or something. We’re really just along for the ride.
  13. I find it impossible to believe that the Bills can’t simply draft two starting Guards this year.
  14. I am no fan of Frazier’s defense, but the Bills offense had an awful lot to do with the loss to the Bengals. The game was 17-10 deep into the third quarter. The Bills aren’t built to win a defensive struggle with anyone. They’re built to outscore them.
  15. Can we make a trade for the Eagles Scouting Staff? That’s absolutely amazing!
  16. I’m honestly thrilled that more people in America are working. Now, can we also make sure they’re also paying taxes?
  17. Not sure what all the hand ringing is about. You let Singletary test the market. If somebody takes him for more money, thank him and wish him well. And then you draft a middle round rookie. If nobody else is willing to pay Devin, you offer him a slight raise to say. You’ve already got Cook on the roster and ready to take over the starting job. Whether Motor stays or goes makes virtually zero difference to the ultimate success or failure of the 2023 Buffalo Bills.
  18. I’ve never understood this fixation with draft rounds. It’s actually just a long list of players being taken one after the other. The segregation into rounds is really just terminology. Heck, with so many traded picks it’s not even like each team gets only one per round anymore. You simply take who you believe to be the best guy at a position of need when your turn comes up before someone behind you takes him.
  19. The really sad thing is that the Squad Ladies set professional women everywhere back another decade with that hysterical, victimology, tear filled, piece of performance art. Such a shame!
  20. Isn’t it interesting that the oil companies only discovered the secret to record profits AFTER Joe Biden was elected?
