  1. And then include super large format TV screens at even more sub-stages so people can hang around afterwards and watch the late games while the parking lots are clearing out. (Or the occasional early game from London.)
  2. Every stadium everywhere has tailgating. Think of it more like a big public park. Providing bathrooms and electricity doesn’t increase the state’s or team’s liability. It may actually decrease it. But how great would it be to go out there and have a bunch of local bands performing on well designed stages throughout the grounds? The bands get exposure and gain a following and the cost to the Team would be virtually nothing. At Cowboy stadium they have a main stage in a plaza just outside the large glass end of the stadium. It’s a blast!
  3. Exactly! So why not create the best tailgating experience in the nation with plenty of restrooms, electrical hookups, solar carports, performance stages, and parking lot based beverage/concession stands. This is WNY, not Southern California. If fans are going to cough up extra cash for the seats themselves, why not make the before game experience truly extraordinary at a price that your regular Bills fans can afford?
  4. I highly doubt that ‘other various amenities’ will ever be a draw in remote Orchard Park. I’ve said from the very beginning, if the stadium remains in OP then the design should include the very best tailgating support that the project can provide. Now THAT would make this stadium unique!
  5. I’m not sure how this particular project defines a transportation hub but I can tell you that just about every major project moving forward has to include something in consideration of mass transit and electric vehicle charging stations. This would be true whether you’re developing a new football stadium or a local elementary school. It’s all part of the new Green Code…like it or not. On a related note, when we attended the Bills game at Wembley Stadium we were utterly amazed at how they were able to move 80,000 fans out from the stadium in a matter of just a few minutes all using their Tube system. Incredible!
  6. I believe you completely misunderstood my comment. Yes, it’s a message board. Your ‘message’ has been heard, logged, tallied, received and delivered way more than once now. But you’re not offering anything new at this point. As regards to my expertise, you’d probably be surprised to learn that I actually share almost every one of your opinions. But as that ship has obviously sailed it seems now we leave it in the hands of the designers and hope that we’re all pleasantly surprised.
  7. Well you’re right about one thing. Everyone is sick of hearing your whining. It’s the very definition of a complete waste of time.
  8. Chase Brown, Illinois RB has the potential to be the next Ekeler.
  9. How about you let them build it first, and then offer your opinion? You just might be pleasantly surprised!
  10. Apparently you do.
  11. I’d stop now if I were you. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about.
  12. Is there ANY education going on at SUNY Amherst? Newsflash: you don’t have to be rich to go to Harvard. Almost everyone there is on a full ride. It’s not about entitlement, it’s about earning your way in life.
  13. In case anyone is wondering, the costs of a natural grass field and an artificial field are relatively comparable. The former has way more ongoing maintenance while the latter has a much higher initial installation cost. The payback period on that initial investment is generally in the seven to ten year range. That cost is relevant at the high school level but is more or less chump change at the major college or NFL level. Conclusion….cost is NOT a factor on the selection of the field surface in an NFL stadium. Playability and versatility are.
  14. Seemed like a well reasoned manifesto to me. 😂😂😂
  15. Let me guess: You prefer to reach for another DE? 😉
  16. One question: Does he know to bat the ball away instead of going for the interception on 4th down? If not, put me down as a ‘no’!
  17. If LT and RT and swing T are already on the roster then I assume you think we’re drafting a Guard or two?
  18. Is that the standard? There are some who say the entire continent will be under water long before that. 😉
  19. Have you been to the Roman coliseum? It’s not exactly game-ready! 😂😂
  20. I’m certainly no Draft expert but the aspect that many overlook is that football is a unique sport. You draft players for either offense or defense and even then for specific positions within each unit. So player rankings are more accurate by position than looked at on an overall basis. For example, the Bills are set at QB, so they can completely ignore those rankings….thank goodness.
  21. Let’s offer them Zach Ertz, straight up! Oh wait….
  22. That is an interesting perspective. I’d say the difference this year is that we don’t seem to have a MLB on the roster, at all. Which is a pretty darn big hole if you ask me. So unless you’re ready to go through the season with the couple of middle/late round kids they drafted last year you’re taking a mighty big gamble that the Board falls your way. (It’s why Beane gets the big bucks.)
  23. I think we all can agree that if Groot, Epenesa, and Basham would step up this year it’d render this thread relatively meaningless.
  24. And that’s just for the windex and paper towels!
  25. Thanks! I keep thinking it’d be better if they could coach up Spencer. He’s simply too tall to play Guard so it seems like he’d end up just riding the bench. IMO our biggest need is at both Guard spots. If the Bills could solidify the center of the line with some affordable rookie talent that would last the duration of Josh’s contract that would be ideal.
