  1. So you’ll have a choice to make. Accept it
  2. You apparently really loathe this organization.
  3. It’ll be a balancing act. They aren’t going to want to play in an empty stadium so I’m guessing it’ll take a couple of seasons to sort itself out.
  4. I’m a bit hot and cold on Morse. I sometimes give the Center a pass since he’s got one hand on the ball, calls out signals, and has a defender right in his face on every play. Given all of that I don’t doubt that I’d get ‘bull rushed’ from time to time as well. 😂
  5. I can assure you I’m neither. But, from your response you may be further gone than I’ve always given you credit for…and that’s a real shame. If you ever got the chance to have a beer with the deplorables that you believe to be around every corner and behind every contrary post, I’m guessing you’d find that they’re just your fellow Americans with a different political opinion. You can choose your rhetoric with each key stroke. Happy Easter
  6. Sorry for your loss. But that being said this isn’t a death match! It’s a place to come and talk about trivial political happenings. If I might suggest, you can disagree with people without the sort of vitriol that’s so often displayed here.
  7. Hawk? Your posts are getting nastier with each passing day. What happened? Is it possible this place has done it to you, or were you like this before and it’s just now coming out? This is just about the time when I recommend people to take a break from this Board.
  8. This why the NFL Draft is so interesting to all us. Players play specific positions. If you wait to pull the trigger because some draft board somewhere says the ‘overall’ value isn’t there by some fictitious measuring criteria you risk losing out on a position of true need. So, having watched the total lack of activity at MLB during free agency, don’t come crying to me if about a month into the season we’re all not screaming for anybody who can hold down and cover the middle of the field.
  9. Excellent points, but it’s not one way or the other. You definitely have to factor in the age of the roster. Since most players career’s are no more than five years, your returning roster’s status relies on where the majority of your starters are within that very narrow window. The Bills feel to be right around the league average. When considered as a whole they’re neither super young or aging out.
  10. Well it’s settled then. The Bills should sit this draft out. 😉
  11. That’s where experience, repetition, and coaching come into play. Your same sentiments could apply to a host of NFL players who played in lesser conferences in college. The one thing I see in Brown is a natural aggressiveness. He doesn’t appear to be lazy, especially in run blocking. I’m hoping he can be taught better technique to use his length in pass protection. We shall see. (By the way my biggest concern on the O Line is in the middle. I’m fed up with watching our Guards totally whiff in pass protection only to have Josh run for his life…or watch our RB get swallowed up right after taking a handoff. Pathetic.)
  12. Does anyone find it interesting that Peterman is still bouncing around the league but Cam Newton has to market his services on Twitter? Gotta wonder what sort of odds you’d have gotten in Vegas on that scenario!
  13. If the Bills take Elias Ricks it’s going to cost me a fortune! He’s the son of my wife’s best friend. Those plane tickets from So Cal to WNY every other week are going to be brutal on the family budget. 😂
  14. I’ve always considered MLB to be the heart of your defense, somewhat akin to quarterback on offense. So unless the Bills intend to roll with the smattering of guys currently on our thin bench I can definitely see them going MLB in Round One. If not, it’s going to look a whole lot like the years we went with Peterman, whoever, and/or nobody at QB.
  15. I’m right there with you Shaw. My take is that there has to be a disconnect somewhere between the scouting staff and the coaching staff. How does a kid go from being ‘our guy’ in April to barely seeing the field in October? I’m more apt to let the kids play and learn by experience and repetition than all of this rotational nonsense the coaching staff wants to force upon them. My two cents.
  16. Yikes! That was a whole lot of back and forth about stadium funding…again. Here’s the reality: if Pegula pays for the entire stadium then he has to recoup that expenditure only from those who attend events there. If the County pays a portion of it, that expenditure is spread across a wider population base. And if the State pays a portion of it that base gets even larger. So….unless you want to pay THOUSANDS of dollars to go to a game, you’d better hope the base is as big as possible. That’s just the math of it all. By the way, as someone mentioned, that’s exactly the principle behind a school construction bond. It isn’t paid for just by the parents who currently elementary aged kids. All property owners pay into it. Even senior citizens who will never have children attend that new school. Even parents with school aged children who currently attend private school. Even parents whose school aged children currently attend a different school in the same school district. It’s not about right or wrong. Good versus evil. It’s just a means of spreading the cost of large capital improvement projects out over a wider population base. Now as to whether Mr Pegula owes the community a new stadium. He definitely does not. Just like someone mentioned above, when the City of San Diego put it to a vote the bond measure failed…and the Owner picked up the team and moved his ‘company’ to Los Angeles. Thanks
  17. I’m not trying to be political. At least not in the traditional Left v Right sense. It’s apparent that the State wanted to invest in this project. No?
  18. So your complaint is with the Governor then?
  19. No…it’s you who are playing with semantics, Mr Lawyer. In THIS case there would be no trial, no defense, and thus no verdict or crime.
  20. Again, I’m not a lawyer but if the statute of limitations runs out, then there by definition isn’t a trial. And without a trial or verdict you are considered innocent….no? Or as a lawyer do you subscribe to the Pelosi Doctrine where you have to prove your innocence?
  21. Ha! What’s your pre-draft guess Shaw…excited or angry?
  22. I’m not sure if I follow your logic here. Won’t the new stadium ticket prices and associated costs tend to weed out the twenty something crowd? So assuming that it does, I’m advocating for a football centric experience for those that will actually still be attending. Now mind you, I don’t see this as a fur coat and pearl necklace crowd, but more of a WNY sports crowd. It would be a ton of fun, building on the existing traditions, and be completely unique to the NFL. But… it wouldn’t be upscale restaurants and stores that’d be closed the other 355 days of the year.
  23. So Mr Lawyer if the statute of limitations has run out then is it actually wrong to claim you did nothing illegal?
  24. Think of it more like a Disneyland devoted to football. An all day experience in which the game is more like the headline event on the main stage. Before Disney created the ‘theme’ park all anyone knew was a bunch of carnival rides set in asphalt. But, what if you could create a similar themed experience centered on the Buffalo Bills and the NFL? Fans would come from everywhere just to be part of it. Super cool!
  25. Please tell me you’re not a lawyer. Obviously the defense is pushing for the misdemeanor! With the statute of limitations having run out it means the case is immediately dismissed. That’s not the least bit shocking or indicative of ANYTHING! That’s exactly what every defense lawyer attempts to do for their client.
