You are aware it doesn’t change the price you pay, right? It just moves a really good hunk of the payment up front. It’s similar to income tax. You pay the same amount at the bottom of the form whether you get a refund or write a check on April 15th. The only difference is whether the government held your money for you throughout the year. 😉

Welcome to the future. If you read the article in the Buffalo News you’ll see this is the new normal in all of those cities with those new stadiums that everyone admires so much. I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t pay it if I still lived in WNY but it’s not all that different from the ‘$ due at signing’ fine print on that new car lease. Sure, your monthly payment is lower but you pay thousands up front to reduce it and in the end you don’t own the car.

Any chance you guys are going to calm down the vitriol on Good Friday?

Who exactly are the Bills drafting at #3? I’m guessing the only way this could make sense is if they then use that pick to get their #1 pick back in 2024?

No deflection here. I just have not had the same experience as you. I come from a background and environment where people get along. It has shaped my world view. Yours clearly has been different…and for that I’m sad. But I can assure you that the deplorables are extremely few and far between on BOTH sides of the spectrum.

I’m a bit hot and cold on Morse. I sometimes give the Center a pass since he’s got one hand on the ball, calls out signals, and has a defender right in his face on every play. Given all of that I don’t doubt that I’d get ‘bull rushed’ from time to time as well. 😂

I can assure you I’m neither. But, from your response you may be further gone than I’ve always given you credit for…and that’s a real shame. Sorry for your loss. But that being said this isn’t a death match! It’s a place to come and talk about trivial political happenings. If I might suggest, you can disagree with people without the sort of vitriol that’s so often displayed here.

Hawk? Your posts are getting nastier with each passing day. What happened? Is it possible this place has done it to you, or were you like this before and it’s just now coming out? This is just about the time when I recommend people to take a break from this Board.

This why the NFL Draft is so interesting to all us. Players play specific positions. If you wait to pull the trigger because some draft board somewhere says the ‘overall’ value isn’t there by some fictitious measuring criteria you risk losing out on a position of true need. So, having watched the total lack of activity at MLB during free agency, don’t come crying to me if about a month into the season we’re all not screaming for anybody who can hold down and cover the middle of the field.

Excellent points, but it’s not one way or the other. You definitely have to factor in the age of the roster. Since most players career’s are no more than five years, your returning roster’s status relies on where the majority of your starters are within that very narrow window. The Bills feel to be right around the league average. When considered as a whole they’re neither super young or aging out.
