  1. You equate calling someone a piece of Shiite to calling someone a dope? In what universe? When he calls you a POS or gives you the finger….I’ll chime right in….I promise
  2. It is that easy. Don’t take the bait. Have a beer and take a nap.
  3. This is a total non-story. I could see this sort of shenanigans going on just about anywhere in America. Nobody was using violence and nothing really came of it. Must be a REALLY slow news day. Move on!
  4. Have any of you watched any episodes of The Diplomat on Netflix? I’m guessing it gives a pretty good idea of tangled web these so-called world leaders play while real people are dying and/or fleeing their homeland.
  5. It does upset me, a tad...but ‘dope’ isn’t anywhere close to ‘POS’ in anyone’s universe. In fact, it might even be considered as nothing more than sarcasm.
  6. Exactly But criminal gangs are….oh yeah….criminals.
  7. This story was on the local news out here in Los Angeles and was pretty poorly explained. I’m not sure that I understand it still. This could be a bunch of rogue officers ‘ganging’ up on the citizenry…or it could simply be a brotherhood of officers who feel led to show they have each other’s backs in a really tough job. Seems to me if it’s the former, putting a tattoo on your arm is a really bad way to hide illegal activities.
  8. No idea what any of that means Hawk, but it’s still no excuse for the expletive laced responses. If people can’t stay somewhere in the neighborhood of civility then I’m not sure anyone ever gets their point across or moves the discussion along.
  9. They can do it but from my experience you’re really not going to see very much. The view would be too close up. The camera needs to mounted a good distance away to ultimately get the time lapse video everyone will want. This is not to mention the liability for the Contractors. A construction site is a pretty dangerous place. The last thing these companies want is a live video showing a myriad of inevitable safety violations laying around. 😉
  10. Do you actually LISTEN TO any of this Twitter garbage before running to your computer to post it here? Because I listened to it and it was a complete dead end! Even Goldman didn’t pursue it any further after his original question. A slanderous waste of committee time and an utterly pointless slur on these federally protected Whistleblowers.
  11. I’m really not sure where this thread was intended to go, but I still don’t see how Pegula is any different than the Owner of any other company. He makes decisions at the upper most level, and I’m guessing not all that much about football, but more about management personnel….which is different.
  12. I’m far from a rabid traditionalist but the dress code in Congress needs a refresh.
  13. You mean we could all make money doing what we’re doing for free? Go figure! Can we unionize?
  14. Just tell the other person that they’re wrong. That’s how we talk to each other in an adult conversation.
  15. Wait! I thought we believe all whistleblowers? Is that no longer a thing? I’m going to need a rule book!
  16. I’m fine thanks, but I’m not the one on here calling other people POS and giving still others the finger. But maybe you have a different interpretation of ‘chill out’. I know language is fluid these days. 😉
  17. Relax Tibs He simply has a different opinion about how we choose to defend freedom. That’s all.
  18. With all due respect. You aren't thinking big enough here SUNY. The income gap that you cite is in large degree CAUSED by the progressive tax code. We keep pouring more gasoline on the fire. As I have said many times on here nobody cares about their gross pay. They only care about their net pay. So...when you vote to raise taxes on your boss, you know what he does? He raised his income to pay for the taxes. His gross pay goes up but his net pay stays the same....and on and on it goes. To convert to a flat tax everyone's gross pay would be adjusted. It would take your employer about 20 minutes to make this change on a desktop computer. My gross pay would go down, and your gross pay would go up, but our net take-home pay would remain unchanged. Then, with the Great Reset in place, and both of us paying the same tax rate next year (let's say 25%) we can see if we both vote to raise taxes. I'm guessing not.
  19. BINGO! But it's always easier to complain about someone else's tax burden. It's yet another reason why I am a huge proponent of a flat tax. It gets away from all of this "what at about the other guy" nonsense. Once we are all paying an equal tithe to the government then we'll see who wants to raise taxes. And probably only then can we can have a conversation about the voluntary additional 'giving' that I mention above.
  20. This is not a Republican issue SUNY. Every taxpayer, regardless of party affiliation pays the same tax rate. It's dependent on their income. As a taxpayer who pays that rate, I can assure you what I described is essentially true. You may not like it, but it is indeed true. Now, to make matters worse, when Trump lowered the rates he also eliminated the Local/State deduction, which in fact negated the entire tax cut that you're prattling on about.
  21. And so let’s go over this again, for some of our posters who were either too young, or asleep, during the Great Recession. President Obama raised the tax rate on the top earners on the principle that the country needed their financial assistance during the recession. With the recession clearly over President Trump simply restored the rate to pre-recession levels…and then gave an additional tax break to EVERYONE else. Sheeessh!
