I would do that trade for one of the QB's. Now you have two 2nds and a 3rd. You can sit and wait or you can move a 2nd and a 3rd and get back in the bottom of round one and take a MLB or DT or C.

Unless they have a firm idea of what will happen say like they already know if the Giants are talking contract with the RB or the Colts tell them they want the DE. They could have a guarantee on draft night of who will take what and how far they can trade down.

This is not true. The DE and RB could go 1 and 2. What if they trade to the Colts at 3 and the Colts take the DE? The Giants could take the RB. All of the QB's could be on board at 4.

This is the most sensible take in the thread. Also McDermott probably got the same treatment Doug gave the owner of the team. You want to talk, schedule a meeting.

With all the QB's falling in value this is a smart move by the Browns. Move off one, let someone take the End or the RB.

I thought Terry introduced McDermott?

Terry is on record saying Whaley couldn't handle business meetings and would make Terry schedule appointments to talk about the team. Terry is on record saying this is why he wanted Whaley out. That he thought it was this way, in football in general, but it wasn't this way with McDermott and he could just show up and talk football with McDermott, whenever he wanted. I believe Terry said that was a big turning point for him.

He's been saying this for 2 years.
