GMs go for prototypes. I bet nearly every GM has Allen higher than Mayfield. Allen's big, strong, big arm. GM and Coaches believe they can get the player with his size and arm into their program and teach him. They believe he'll grow. They believe he not a finished product.

I agree. He shouldn't go in the top 20. I do understand why GMs draft these type of players is what I'm saying. Its the same reason Whaley picked Manuel.

I don't think he's anything like Kyle Boller. Boller didn't have the long ball ability. He had an arm but I don't think he ever made a living throwing the deep ball with any kind of accuracy. Now I do think Allen will bust but I could see why they like him (if they like him). It's unfortunately the same philosophy Whaley had when he took Manuel. Carson Palmer had two bad seasons. Also Matthew Stafford had two bad season. That's what I'm saying with Allen if they take him, he throws the deep ball like Bledsoe and Palmer and Stafford so I understand why they make projections for him. Some college passers with deep balls have bad % because they spend all game throwing tough passes. Allen could be that way and make something of a Carson Palmer or Drew Bledsoe career.

The more I look at him the more he looks like Drew Bledsoe. If the Bills love him I won't hate him tho I think he'll bust as well.

If it's Allen they can probably trade to 7-10.

Did you count the Lane Johnson restructure? Torrey Smith trade will also saves them around 5 million.

I doubt the Eagles think they'll take a decreased value. They held Bradford until they got their price.

I doubt it works like that. They have a value worth of a 1 and a 3. They'll just wait. They cut a player and restructured a contract to get near the cap. They can hold Foles into the season like they did with Bradford and get a 1st and more for him.

Doubt they care about the market.
