I'd bet players have always been divided on race and politics, just like the rest of the country. I'm sure some wanted Obama and some wanted Romney or McCain. I'd even bet there was differences over Reagan's election and probably all the way back to Kennedy over Nixon.

Can he play? That's what I care about. It's like with Tyrod. I know some dislike him because he's black. I don't care. Can he play or not. That's all I care about. The black players in Phily stood up for that receiver caught on tape saying the N-word. It's a work environment. We make more of it. Fans and the Media.

I'd rather start the rookie. AJ looks like a classic backup in the NFL. Plays for 18 years, wins some games. Everyone loves him. He's probably closer to Ryan Fitzpatrick, than a true starting NFL QB.

I doubt he has the physical tools to compete at a high level in the NFL. Can he be a starter, probably. Will he be an all time great, probably not even close.

Other QBs went 1 and 3 so why? Question about those picks and judge Allen against those two players. Don't think we would have made it to one though.

Short term if Allen is Cam, or Cam like Bills will win games. I don't know what means long term though. In the short, play defense, run the QB which opens Shady and possession receivers. It's a good formula for short term success.

Compared to Tyrod? Yes.

I wasn't for this QB, but if Bills run that 'Bama offense or that college offense the Panthers ran with Cam it could get interesting this year. If Allen is a two read runner it will open the offense. Bills could actually be better than last year if they see/use Allen like Cam, Tyrod or Foles.

Weird but part of my hopes Browns are good. I also hope Bengals and Lions play well for some reason.

I believe McDermott would take the blame. I also believe he would survive the blame before Beane.

I believe both of those trades were McDermott. Both are locker room. Both are culture. Both are work ethic. No curve at all, all McDermott. Beane has cap responsibility yes but even he says that Overdorf's responsibility. When it comes to players I believe McDermott is in total control of who we draft, especially on defense. Beane gathers player info, he looks into the cap but he is not a powerful GM like they have in say Baltimore or Denver. This is McDermott's operation. Beane may be his equal but he's not a powerful GM. I'd bet Beane can't even fire McDermott. No. This is why the Pegula's hired him. This is what they like about him. He can run the organization and be the face of the franchise.

Beane is here for research. McDermott is the blueprint. He's getting his players. Players that fit what he wants going back to the Eagles and the defense and offense he learned from Reid and Johnson. Beane is the GM and I take nothing from him but if it doesn't work Beane will go before McDermott. This is the same relationship Reid has in KC and Belichick in NE and Pete in Sea. McDermott took a job that gave him total control. It's really clear that this is McDermott's operation.

I'd play him as a weak linebacker. He played the coverage backer like Ryan Shazier did for Pitt. He has Bills DNA as they say. Bright. Leader. Captain. He's just not a ILB. They had him inside in a 34 at 'Bama. He's a good athlete who should probably be a 3rd round pick but I think he's injured.
