Having 65 million and spending it wisely are two different things. To this point I can't say I trust Beane to make good signings. His free agents so far look like bad signing. "Murf" hasn't even played, or did I miss it? Ray Ray looks like a good gadget player and probably a nice 4th or 5th receiver, but you think he'll have the impact White or Hyde and Poyer displayed last year? They want to give it to McDermott out of Whaley hate, but if it's McDermott he should have the same success. I don't see any player signed as good as Poyer and Hyde or any drafted as good as White. Maybe Allen becomes a star. Maybe Edmunds becomes a star. Maybe they don't. But the don't look like White at the beginning of 2017.

We could tell who the players were last year in preseason. Poyer was great. Hyde was coming. This year who's the Poyer or Hyde? We could see Tre coming in preseason. Who's the Tre this year? Just my point of view but it looks like they drafted a lot of boom/bust players. Athletes who have to learn to be football players. It's a long season but that's what I got from this preseason. Except I like the DT Harrison Phillips. Who outside of him looks like a day one starter this year? What draft pick?

Proof is what they do in the draft and in FA going forward. If he was he should be getting Poyer and Hyde as FA's this year. So far I say he hasn't been as successful in FA's.

What part of this season don't you get? His post was about 9-7 and playoffs and 2 number 1s, last year. Last year is 90% Whaley. Did he trade for 2 #1? Did he sign any player that led us to the PO. Shady? Tyrod? Kyle? Richie? Wood? Hyde? Poyer? Who? Team was still staffed by Whaley's free agents and his last draft class.

Honestly none of this has anything to do with Beane. Beane's test starts this season. It's his roster to build. His free agents and draft picks. Last years roster was 90% Whaley.

Get ready for a season full of run blitzes.

What TE belongs to Beane? We don't know how Allen will work long term and McCarron seems like a wasted signing. Whaley drafted Peterman. Whaley signed all the secondary players, except Davis who seems like a busted signing ATM.

Whaley seems a better Pro Personnel evaluator. Time will tell.
