I've been on board with McDermott from day one. I think he's going to be a top ten coach. He needs to actually have players workout and not be busts, especially in free agency. He needs overachievers to come onboard. He didn't get any by my count this offseason. He got 2 or 3 last offseason. Bills actually got 2 or 3 for the last 2 or 3 years. Only change is Beane has full control of the free agent signings.

You're welcome.

Piss poor judgement. Not only Davis signing. The entire offseason is poor judgement and direction for the organization long term. Especially in free agency.

I believe IR is more than for a roster spot. It has contract implications for the player and the team.
-
I don't know enough about how they use this exemption so I won't comment other then to say he has not been placed on the retired list and he still belong to the team until his contract is resolved.
-
Go back through.

Playing devils advocate here, he could force them to put him on IR. He was injured in camp. If you read his statement it talks about how his body felt. If he wants he could fight this. I'm not even saying he will. I'm just saying I doubt it will be clean. I always say he could. I never said I knew what he would do. You read it that way. I don't know what will happen.

You can speak in absolutes. I'll wait for it to actually happen. At this point Bills haven't even started the process to get the money back and Davis hasn't sent in retirement papers. Everything being said is conjecture. I'm not dumb enough to believe it'll end this clean. The money is secondary, signing Davis was a mistake unless they thought they were making the PO. If they thought they were making the PO and finish 3-13 or south of 8 wins has to add questions to their judgement.

This is premature. Also it's speculation. He's not retired until he submits his paperwork. If he want to be a prick alls he has to do is say he was injured. That's what Davis said. Note, "I just didn't feel right. I told my coaches I'm not feeling like myself." -
He's not retired until he submit his papers to the league. His people can still claim he wasn't to play but he's injured. He should give it back but I doubt he will.

Yes. -
Would you draft Oliver or Bosa?

Bosa. He has family history in the NFL and he's a stud. -
Sporting News article - Are Bills in fact rudderless?

It won't be 2 or 3 years from now, it will be 2 or 3 years from 2019. This year is wasted without clear direction. They're not young and they're not talented. It's a lost year where they could have gotten young. They made bad signings this offseason and those players are just wasted cap space. Star is a wasted signing. Murphy is a wasted signing. When they're good enough to win both will be gone. Why sign them is you're building for long term success? Because they weren't building for long term. They thought they'd win this year. With this roster. Trading for KB is a waste of a roster spot. They could have used that money on a young linemen. They're building two teams at once and it never works that way. Rudderless, is the correct term. -

I don't think he looks at tarot cards. I think he's on the job training. I also think he drafts talented athletes and not football players. Both of those things equals players who will be good after they leave Buffalo. -

I've only been saying this for months. It's so apparent Beane doesn't have a big picture plan for the Bills. They're so going in two directions which they can't easily change because they'd have to be worse in 2019 to fix it. Just think about it. If the get young in 2019 that means Clay, Shady, Hughes, Benjamin, Kyle and Zo will be gone. That's your vet leadership. So they'll need 3 Oline and 2 or 3 Dline, receivers, a true number 1 TE and probably 2 LBers and a boundary CB. It's too much to solve in one offseason. Also they'll have to over spend to get players to come here again ballooning the cap. They aren't making decisions and that's my problem with Beane. That and he looks like a Donahoe school drafter. -
McDermott- Highest odds to be fired..

Fire Beane, or move him to President. Hire a football guy in operations or as GM. Don't let Beane pick players or we'll be waiting til next year for the next 4-5 years. -

This is how it will begin. He'll say I'm injured. Will keep money. -

Blame him, but lets be honest. When he signed this was a team coming off the PO with Tyrod, Wood, Richie and Preston. Davis probably thought they'd add to that and make another playoff run. Probably didn't think he'd be playing for a rebuild. Bills are building two teams at the same time. One with vets like we're making a run and one with rookies like we're in rebuild. Makes no sense.
