Lots of talent left no matter what site you go to....Let's just hope we get to help out offense for once! No one beats the Pats 16-13 -
ESPN - best available prospects TRACKER.
Locomark replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Personally I think both ESPN and CBS Sportsline have some unusual rankings. I like Draftek for scouting reports (they gave us an A+ for Oliver by the way) and Rotoworld because it gives you current player comparables, even if you don't like the order of the players https://www.rotoworld.com/article/rankings/thors-day-2-best-available -
When did “Defense End” become “Edge Rusher?”
Locomark replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It has just been the past few years. I agree with all the prior comment about guys that cover and rush, 3-4 , Taylor, but I think is really became popular when Clowney came into the league. See the tag mess when he got tapped as a linebacker and got screwed out of the DE top 5 money. -

Antonio Brown threat to Ryan Clark
Locomark replied to SydneyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I calling it first...AB is going to get hit with at least four 15 yard penalties this year because he is an idiot...he'll be looking for Jerry's title! -
Albright when asked where DK goes...

Let's face it, in a spread you pretty much have to know Metcalf is not running a crossing or a dig route in the middle of field because he can't be a slot guy. Brown, Harmon, Samuel can be slot AND outside. This allows Dabol to move guys through motion to create mismatches. If we end up with Metcalf, I hope he proves me wrong and is the next Randy Moss . Right now his hype outweighs his college performance. They always say in early round, don't project performance that didn't show itself in college. I stay with that motto. That's what you do with a 5th round pick. -
Democratic 2020 Presidential Primary Thread
Locomark replied to snafu's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I remember both Obama and Trump being far back in their prospective fields when the debates started. No one knows who will come out of this primary yet. I wouldn't bet against mayor Pete from South Bend. He's not an old guy, served in the military, is Harvard educated, isn't a Washington insider, is gay (which is enough to satisfy the far left liberals that want some form of minority representation) and comes from the Midwest where the unions used to vote democrat but votes Trump. Anyone who thinks Hillary will run is off there rocker. She knows her negative image is just as negative as Trumps I think she has come to terms with that. -
RD 1, Pick 9: DT Ed Oliver, University of Houston
Locomark replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't really know much about Oliver until I started seeing highlights. Sounds like a hard working talented Buffalo kind of kid and a humble god fearing type of culture fit that this team likes. Ability to start making teams fear our inside again. The kid will upgrade the position in a year or 2 over the 80% Kyle we got the last few years as Kyle was slowing down from his peak. I just hope this kid can play at a weight that allows him to hold up against guys he will be giving up 30 lbs to on every play. Kyle can mentor him on how to deal with that I hope. -
I like the big catch radius on Butler. His big size and 95 inch wing span gives him ability to adjust to poorly thrown balls probably added to his grade at OBD due to Allen's known accuracy challenges. That kid had an awful QB as ISU. Didn't see much of Harmon or Hall. I think there is quality in round 2-4 at WR. I even like Stanley Morgan's kid in the later rounds as a sleeper.

I am ok with the Bills philosophy of BPA, but I am wary of projecting future success on a player like Metcalf who didn't even lead his college team in performance. I think part of evaluating Best Player available should include risk / reward. Metcalf has more risk (lesser hands, limited route tree) but could have more ceiling. Looking at his tape versus Greedy of LSU, I wasn't really sold on his potential to run the full route tree, but I'll leave that up to the professionals at OBD to discern...either way we should have good players to choose from at 40. I am just hoping we enhance our offensive playmaking ability on day 2. We got better in FA but not good enough to score enough point with the big boys yet.

Just heard NFL network say Raiders are looking for a TE, so Irv Smith might be gone.....

Did anyone notice this list had the Jaguars listed as Jawaan's college team LOL... that was the rumor for round 1 and seems to be the rumor for round 2 as well....

I don’t get why no one is talking about AJ Brown. He was the featured receiver on the team that included Metcalf. Difference is he is an amazing route runner and breaks tackles galore and is more of a sure thing. Metcalf could be boom or bust. Brown reminds me of a kid from Kutztown we used to have. He can play slot and outside, which in a spread formation is exactly what we need. I doubt he will be there at 40 but he is a slamdunk for us. I would value only Cody Ford or Greedy Williams above him and they will be gone by then.

Let’s look at the teams in front of us in rd 2. too many need WRs for us to get who we want standing still IMO. AZ: OL, WR, CB IN: edge, CB, WR Raid:CB, OL May trade down 49: WR, Sea: CB, S , May trade down Jax: WR,OL, TE, Bucs: OL, CB, RB None of them are likely picking a QB. and there could easily be 2-3 WR and Irv Smith to Jax off the board. I want offense here but I have those gut feeling that we end up picking CB and when we do I will probably throw something !!!! I would bet Winovich doesn’t get past the Pats in round 2.

Does the new tackling rule help the Bills?
Locomark replied to oldmanfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is just another rule that will somehow be called against our team in key moments of games. I will bet we get called for it every Pats game and they won’t... -
Football IQ can’t be “taught” as you say. The great ones have it right at the start of their careers. Let’s stop jumping all in on guys needing development and get someone with talent, football IQ, and leadership already. I trust our GM over the Mel Kipers of the world.

I trust Beane and I think you may be right because the Jets could have traded to 2 to seal that they got one of the top 2 guys. however I am panicking because it’s just like the Bills to target a QB and then in the one year they go for it, it actually blows up in their face and we wnd up fighting for 3rd in our division again. Trade to 4 and then trade 4 to Giants for 2. Giants get Barkley and everyone is happy.

Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round
Locomark replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone but Rosen, Darnold or Mayfield is a bust in my book. They must go to 2 to get Rosen or Darnold.,Trade to 4 w Cleveland and then trade spot 4 and then next years 1 plus to get us to 2. The giants want Barkley and he will be there at 4 because the top 3 will take QBs! -
Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round
Locomark replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Assuming the Giants covet Barkley: Then we trade up to Browns for #4. Then we flip #4 to Giants. That way we get our QB and the Giants get Barkley because it is obvious the top 3 will pick QBs. If the Giants just want to swap up to 12 then give them our 12,22 and 4th and next years 1. We don’t need next year’s picks as much as this year’s because we have 100 million to spend and won’t have a sunk QB cost. I would be all for dumping more picks next year than this year if possible.
