Carl Paladino: Put new stadium in Cobblestone district
Locomark replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You are crazy if you think Buffalo bars can support 70,000 people for 8-10 days a year... Atlanta, Chicago, etc are cities with giant metro populations that can sustain those bars and restaurants year round. Buffalo can not, it’s just not big enough. -
1979 Opener against the Fins as a kid. We blocked a FG and ran it back for our only TD. Sunny first half and torrential downpour in the 2nd half. We lose 9-7 on a last second FG miss by Dempsey. Painful way to lose but the next year I got to see the tear down tha goalpost Miami game and break the super long Miami losing streak. I remember the crowd noise for the last 2 minutes of that game was like we had won the Super Bowl...

Carl Paladino: Put new stadium in Cobblestone district
Locomark replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The big question is how much land is there for parking & tailgating. The tailgate experience in OP is great because of the open and expansive parking. I have a feeling that the parking will become a series of choppy lots and maybe even some multi story garages like it is in many cities. That stinks. There is little reason to stick it there because it has no sweeping vista of the water. I really don’t get that idea for those 2 reasons. Keep it in OP and build the new stadium right next to the old one. For one or two seasons you may have to have a creative parking solution but it could be done without having the Bills have to play at some second tier stadium like the Chargers did. -
My WR ranking through Week 1 of Camp.

One would think we keep 7 if we intend to play spread and DiMarco could be replaced by an H Back. I’m guessing Lee Smith could be it. He certainly could be used as an I form FB if that won’t be a primary set. -
I have a new daily favorite read!!!! Nice job!

Off season discussion - Abolish the divisions!
Locomark replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We used to be a national exposure team when we were awesome, its just been too long so we don't remember it much anymore and it happened to be before the days of fantasy football, NFL network, Thursday night games, etc..... beat NE once this year and win on Thanksgiving and suddenly we could be shown more national games.... -
Buffalo Bills: Embedded season 2 - new episode Sun. 8/11

I wasn't excited, yet wasn't surprised, watching Shaq Lawson looking totally gassed trying to slowly walk up Camelback mountain. He doesn't seem like a finely tuned athlete for a guy fighting for a contract..... -
I would love to see the methods some of these guys use. How does someone write for SI and consistently give teams certain records and then in the commentary say he is probably under or overvaluing them? Either have convictions about your picks and your methods or find another line of work. This is what is wrong with the new wave of sports journalism. Its short on real content.

Who's Most Responsible for Pats* Dynasty: Brady or Belichick?
Locomark replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A dynasty is never built by one individual, its a core group which includes management, coaching, and key players. -
Richie punching holes in his 90 year old grandma's walls...this guy is a head case.

I was thinking the same thing. The great thing about Josh is he has his own style. Joe Montana and Peyton Manning didn't really fit a predecessor style. They just were who they were. Not saying Josh will ever be that good though.

Report: NFL owners pitch 18-game schedule

Kickers/Punter rarely get contact. Its more concerning about key players like the QB. -
The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Locomark replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I just don't get this whole thread.......Trump acts like a crazed 8 year old in the media, calls people names like a school yard kid and then gets mad when the media calls him out on it??? In a normal work environment he would be fired based on behavior. In a normal public company he would be fired as CEO by a board for his inability to communicate effectively and his behaviors. Not sure why anyone thinks he is being persecuted. It's obviously his language. He isn't being funny, he just being mean so he gets called out for it. If he stuck to his policies, he might actually get more praise. -

NFL Players bodies can't take an 18 game season. You would need 70 man rosters. I love watching games, so as a fan I am all for it, but right now many teams can barely stay healthy for 16. The roster expansion would be key. I really don't think the players association should vote against increasing the season by 10% if you added 30% more jobs. I do question how much small market cities like Buffalo would have to jack up its prices to pay for that though.... -
Predicting one future first-time Pro Bowler for each AFC team
Locomark replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
PFF also accounts for things like missed tackle, blown assignments/coverages. That doesn't show up on a generic stat line. Pro bowl voting is like a beauty contest, it literally means nothing and once you go, you often keep going based on name alone. This board has plenty of threads every year with people clamoring for "names" of free agents just because we have heard of them not because anyone really watches the details about how they play....
