  1. I think this is a reasonable hypothesis. The main ingredients that can change it are injuries (a big one) and turnovers. Our turnovers have gone way down and that is a good thing and maybe that is worth an extra win.
  2. Round 1 • Pick 9 (9) • DT Ed Oliver B- for the hype on this guy he just hasn't made that big of an impact, high ceiling just hasn't shown itself with many plays in the backfield to rate him highly yet. Next year will be the telltale sign if he can be Elite. He probably comes in stronger and more understanding of what it will take. Round 2 • Pick 6 (38) • T Cody Ford C+ position flexibility is a positive but he has been underwhelming IMO considering we traded up to get him. He didn't solve out RT problem, which we will have to address in 2020. He has yet to make me feel like he is anything but an average pro guard. Our running game statistically has been much more successful going left than right so he hasn't been a consistent force in the run game either. I think we may be two years away from seeing what we really have with him. Round 3 • Pick 11 (74) • RB Devin Singletary A- value pick only hampered by his hammy. looks like he could be the real deal if he can show some durability and continue to show he can pass protect as well Round 3 • Pick 33 (96) • TE Dawson Knox B- Better than expected blocking and makes some splash plays but still making some rookie mistakes. Future looks bright for the kid. His B- would be a higher value for me if we didn't spend capital to trade to go get him Round 5 • Pick 9 (147) • LB Vosean Joseph Ungraded due to injury Round 6 • Pick 8 (181) • S Jaquan Johnson I didn't grade the kid. I know he has made a few special teams tackles but I didn't feel I could fairly judge his contributions based on a few games of teams. Would be nice to have a nasty hitter at the safety or big nickel spots in years to come. Round 7 • Pick 11 (225) • DE Darryl Johnson B- Shown some quickness that Jerry doesn't seem to have anymore. He's a raw reach, but for a 7th rounder to even see any field with 3 established Vets + Zo out there is a surprise at all. Round 7 • Pick 14 (228) • TE Tommy Sweeney C Just about what I expected for a 7th rounder. He made the non practice squad roster solely based on injury and has the potential to unseat Lee Smith in 2020. However its just as likely he isn't on the roster next year based on the drops he had when given the chance. Overall, Our top end of the draft has yet to make the early impact I had hoped for. If we want to take the next step and become a contending team, we always need our top 2 picks to be top notch players in the Tre White level category. What say you?
  3. Thats because Oliver only played 18 snaps....... just curious how many of the snaps that they had over 10 yard runs on was Ed in on?
  4. until he gets broken in half running those options......his throwing stats mimic Josh's and he really doesnt have the passing skills of Josh. But his mobility is next level. The question is does he become Russell Wilson or Mike Vick?
  5. Let’s see how the Ravens QB does against the vaunted Pats D tonight. Have a feeling it’s not going to go well for him.
  6. Maybe tonight is the night someone knocks Brady out. Odds are it’s going to be some game, so might as well be tonight.....and they will get an 80 game suspension.
  7. It didn’t even have to be Metcalf. We just need more outside weapons. Speed kills, size doesn’t always kill in this league at the WR spot because size can give way to vertical jump and hands.
  8. Nice to see a Singletary dominated game for once. Now if we can show we know how to use our TEs as well, keep using Brown and Beas then maybe we can start to have a real NFL Offense soon.
  9. So Richie Roid who threatened his own family and random people in public gyms would have been fine if we had given him more money and kept him here?? The guy needs some serious psych evaluation and he was terrible the last year he was here. He had more penalties for holding than Lee Smith has this year !! I am glad they let him go.
  10. She notice that fake reverse screen always kills us?? It’s been like 3 times this year it has gone for 30 yards on us....
  11. Well every team in the league now has the simple formula to kill our defense.
  12. A win is the ultimate Metric. In fact any great company gets that way because they understand performance is improved by measuring things that matter and that includes measuring quality. It’s what PFF tries to do and assuredly the Bills rate their players down to the quality of technique on specific plays. They just don’t share it with us. Coach McD has mentioned Kaizen before which is Japanese for continuous improvement. Hence “the process.” Major companies have trashed their competition by measuring the right things and then finding the ways and people that improve them. Metrics matter immensely.
  13. How many picks of the rookie ??? Sure they won’t let him throw much, but in the limited action he has had its been a pick fest. They should get 3 if he tries 30 attempts because they are playing from way behind.
  14. Right now he is underperforming his hype. That doesn’t mean he won’t be a good to great player. He was hyped as a dominant player by many football pundits. He is not that right now on a team that could really use someone to dominate up front. Let’s see how he progresses this season.
  15. More likely to be an episode of “Punked” then reality. I’m guessing maybe he is on the presidential committee for crowd size estimating.
  16. Don’t you think it is a combo of four things 1) conservative team approach by McD 2) Daboll’s odd play calling 3) not enough talent yet an many positions 4) a QB still learning
  17. As a kid the Bills weren’t on TV much, so I was intent on listening to the radio and imagining the game. Then I went to a few games starting at age 12 and I was hooked on the andrenaline of it. I can’t imagine not watching even a single game even in the worst of years through thick and thin....mainly thin. When I lived in Boston, pre Brady, I watched no one care at all about the Pats. Those fans didn’t deserve what they got, just as we don’t deserve what we have gotten these last few decades. I haven’t lived in Buffalo in a long time but I will always be a Bills fan every day in every way.
  18. Are you serious? Cooper has 0 chance of reaching FA. Fitzgerald will never leave the Cards, Robby Anderson isn’t a “big weapon”...so yes bone dry...Cooper and Green are the only difference makers out there. I have a feeling Green wouldn’t sign here because he probably wants to sign with a premier QB if not extending with Cinci long term unless we drive the brinks truck up.
  19. Who do you suggest will be added in the off-season that will address the playmaker situation? The FA WR is bone dry unless they sign AJ Green and expecting a rookie WR picked at either 22 or 44 to make an immediate impact is a crap shoot.
  20. No 10-6 but probably no wins in playoffs because of our paltry offensive output unless we play in bad weather which would play to our strengths. .....but I question what next year will bring. I wonder what serious change we can bring to our pass rush in FA and can we bring in more playmakers and will replace Lorenzo. Next year we could be back at 8-8 again.
  21. Arrogance without big results is deadly. Sean, I still remember how badly you get blown out at home twice every year, how you were outcoached last week and versus Belicheat. Your pal Mr. Beane also hasn't been the best, giant money for mediocre Star, spending a high 2nd round pick on a kid that can't seem to be good enough to play either guard or tackle but we want him because he's position flexible when you could have had AJ Brown or Mecole Hardman as a WR2 or spending a 3rd round pick on a kid that sits the pine every game. Meanwhile you hoard draft capital while the good teams get better by making deals with theirs. We look for "value talent." and our teams shows it. We need play makers on both side of the ball. No pass rushers and no big play makers on O will get us nowhere. I am sick of the tired Pegula mantra of "we are only a few years away" which they have been saying since they owned both teams. Next year's schedule will be tough again. Let's just start winning some meaningful games and then Sean can insinuate how great this regime is. Your culture only goes so far. Winning is everything. Start winning games that matter and then you can talk with some attitude. Until then, stop talking about the sins of the past when you haven't proven anything yet.
  22. I don't like Schopp in general but I like his point. Beane and McDermott do talk like they have won something already which they haven't. Win something meaningful, like a single frickin game against the Pats that isn't an end of season player resting game or some games at home against good competition. 11-5 should have been a given with this schedule, but Beane's incompetence in signing "value" versus talent nd McDermott's penchant for being outcoached and blown out by good teams gets us 2-3 less wins per year IMO. Sal is competent but says the obvious comment to me 100% of the time, which is what I expect for a radio guy in a small market city. This isn't sports illustrated or a national show they are on people.
  23. Bob Foster’s only value would be for a six pack of Foster’s......
  24. Why do we want another underperforming $8 million back when we just got rid of one when we can do the Patriot thing by buying 2 $3.5 million backs in free agency every other year?
