Love having Harty, Sherfield, and Shakir as guys that can line up anywhere and all can run crossers !!! We will be a lot more dangerous downfield this year.

They saved $600K on Settle restructure is what I heard. source: Per ESPN's Field Yates, the Buffalo Bills have agreed to a restructured contract with defensive tackle Tim Settle, one that is set to save them approximately $600,000 in cap space.

Beane still looking to add big bodied RB to roster
Locomark replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Give me an “F”-as in Foreman or Fournette. Fournette is only projected as 2.3M annually in spotrac. I think they are still open to Devin but they don’t want to commit too long or too much guaranteed. -
This is a pretty far fetched opinion. There will be teams spread into London and Munich some day but your thought that this will become some form of rollerball global league is not founded. I live in Chicago and no one clamors for 2 NFL teams. IMO Buffalo is blowing it by not committing and supporting its fandom also to a full blown division 1 football, basketball, and hockey program that could get into a real conference like the ACC or Big East or Big Ten. Many of the NCAAs hottest markets don’t have pro teams. Alabama..Ohio State..Cincinnati…Gonzaga…Oregon..Kansas…Nebraska. That should be where you concentrate. Instead great UB teams and coaches come and go after 2 years of success so they can play for a better conference. UB and the state needs to make that commitment along with Buffalo and its community. Build a great smaller venue in Amherst (because no major college team plays off their campus) and a commitment to a better conference and to basketball, hockey, football. As an aside, how this major US hockey community 15 minutes from Canada has no major top 20 hockey college hockey program near Buffalo every year(no not Niagara) is embarrassing to me when I was raised on a rink there.

Everyone gets a large brimmed Cap as part of the PSL. That’s your cover…..

Beane passed on KC’s all pro Center last year who was a need for us at Guard and KC took him right after us. I think he is awful at drafting the big men and that is why we keep falling short IMO.

Anyone just sit back and appreciate it?
Locomark replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I appreciate it every week I watch the team. I also watch teams swing for the fences in making the Hill move or Orlando Brown move and say why are we always making mid level moves on offense. -
Dear BB, it’s an offensive arms race now. The Bengals let both of their quality safeties walk just to beef up their offense. Your move now.

I still have no idea how they got away with giving a crap load of money to Brady via his TB12 physical therapy company as their official team PT firm and never had to count that as compensation why they paid him way less than market value officially. Why don’t the Bills have Josh and Diggs form a company that does that and pay them half as much salary yet pay for their company’s services. Then Von can also own a food service company, since he is a chicken farmer and we can pay him a $5 million salary and just use his food company for the stadium and team. The Cheatriots did this with no impunity, why don’t we?

That’s a misdirection by the team IMO, so they feed to the beat reporters to put out in the world. We didn’t hand out that Knox contract to throw a #1 pick at a TE. We just want other teams to keep picking QB,CB,TE because we aren’t going there round 1 and might like everything else. It certainly appears we need OL,DL,LB,WR,S a whole lot more in those first 3 rounds.
-
Parham is highly athletic and would make our 2 TE sets dangerous. We don’t need him to be on the field as much as Knox. Beane is kicking tires on a prove it deal, as he should. BB can always do his favorite 2 year with the second voidable. I remember hearing about Morse being done with concussions 6 years ago and he is still playing at a high level if not better and he plays every down head to head. This kind of deal gives us huge formation flexibility and lets us focus our draft on other needs.

Chicago has an 11 times larger population, has a city larger than Buffalo less than an hour drive down the highway (Milwaukee) and is building an entire entertainment complex next to the dome because it’s already in the top 5 cities for conventions. Buffalo is not that type of a city. A dome in Buffalo will not generate enough revenue there. In Chicago the dome could be used literally for 150 close to full capacity events a year. Bands that play soldier field now for 2 dates and sell out in minutes will now be playing a dome for 4-5 dates because winter and sports limits their ability to play here. Chicago is basically a hub of the Midwest and people will travel here, unlike Indy.

Bills have shown interest in Lavonte David.
Locomark replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall
This just shows you how silly the deal that Tremaine got was. There was no way Tremaine is worth $11 million more than Lavonte David. That was the Bears being able to severely overpay because they suck and need to put Bums in the seats to get their new stadium funded by establishing some star power. -
Love the move and also love that Beane again identified his true value and said go check out the market like honey badger did last year and you will see you are being compensated fairly. That’s what happened when big money wasn’t being thrown at him.Miami was just trying to raise the rates publicly when they probably just offered him 8million thinking he was taking a warm weather discount.

OT, Sailed past Jerry Jones’s mega yacht today,

Is he a Bond villain? -
A Guard who can play center in the future will be a day 2 pick. There are some decent ones. As far as Davis, when you see guys like the Pats’ Meyer signing for $11M for 3 years it truly makes you wonder what Gabe’s actual value is. I know someone might pay him 16/17 but his worth is well below that right now based on production.

Please stop being rude Pete. The 10 million people who live in this area certainly don’t believe in the propaganda about how awful Chicago is. Keep your political theories out of this forum.

OpEd , FYI- I live in Chicago. This is NOT the stadium plan and is not approved. This is a counter proposal to keep them in the City (which is really cool by the way.) The Bears already purchased 300 plus acres of the now closed Arlington Racetrack in the western suburbs by the train lines and highways where they plan to build a dome and full entertainment complex on. The city doesn’t want to lose them but basically it appears they didn’t put any money or changes necessary to retain them and has not put any competing proposal or money on the table. It appears they are leaving the city and it’s a done deal. This video is an architectural firm putting a proposal forward but it has no backing by any formal government group or funding that I am aware of. It’s been circulated as a PR device but not as a true representation of the future. It appears no one is backing the $ for it in the city and even when it was shown on local news it was represented that way.
