This above is why… Chenal is a run backer only. Does anyone watch Wisconsin? They run and stop then run in a conference filled with running teams. That kid is a power blitzer up the middle that would never cover NFL TEs or RBs….. hopefully the Chiefs trot him out to cover James Cook or our TEs and we will roast him for 200 alone in coverage.

The difference is Bass scores points and is a weapon on kickoffs and our punter is used twice a game and doesn’t do anything. “Punt god” isn’t even a holder. We don’t need a guy with a giant leg that has no sense of directional control with our offense…..

This league sucks. 1) the talent is awful. 2) when all the games are played in Birmingham why bother? Might as well name a team the Iraq Bombers just to create a villain team. There are really no cities truly involved and that eliminates the excitement of a real crowd outside of the Birmingham team itself. Just silly. Honestly, I would watch arena football again over this.

Report circulating that Apple will be 2023 home to Sunday Ticket
Locomark replied to Ned Flanders's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes sports illustrated and others say it begins AFTER the completion of the ‘22 season. -
I bet he doesn’t get drafted until round 3 or later. No way he goes in round 1. What happens when the speed is faster and the balls are coming that much faster. At that level you need to catch everything that touches you. He was also playing against much poorer competition than the other guys you compare him too. No one outside of random Bills fans are talking about this guy up as a first rounder. See the Zierlein review of him on nfl.com I think it is very fair. He will become an average NFL WR in a few years. Certainly not worthy of a high pick.

I am not saying Tre won’t be the same but i think Tre could have 3-4 high caliber years left tops and then also get a couple years out at Safety. It seems like 31/32 is the notorious drop off age for corners and only the speed guys seem to outlive that well. That’s not Tre’s game. Tre is a read and react type corner which requires strong knees and ankles.

I have never changed my tune. I don’t think they be paying any safety $12 million and clearly the league doesn’t either bare on Matheiu’s situation. I guarantee you that is what his agent is telling him he can get because he is an “All Pro” and the Bills are “printing money.” Sorry he can go. We don’t want to become the New Orleans Saints and have no future because we spent too much money on over 30 guys. I also will tell you I guarantee Milano never reaches the end of his deal in 3 years without a pay cut or being traded. Look at other deals payroll on sportrac and loook at their list of high end salaries and then look at ours. Once we tack on on upcoming few like Oliver and Knox we will be overflowing with big salaries. You can’t have 15 high paid guys. It just won’t work.
-
This better not end up as their swing tackle solution…..
-
No this is not. Next year we will have to pay Oliver and Knox and Davis and a few others and we have now kicked a lot of money into that year already so there will be restraint to not give big money to the older players. The gravy train only works for players on an upward trajectory, not at the end of their career. The exception is someone like Von who filled a giant gap for us. A defense doesn’t need to pay any safety big money. Just Look at Tyron. He is still looking for a team and he is the same age as Micah and Jordan. It’s quite possible 2 years from now both safeties and Milano will all be gone due to their age and salary wants.

Either way in 3 years I fully expect both will be gone and Tre will moved to safety by then.

Pounding the table for Christian Watson at 25
Locomark replied to Vickveto's topic in The Stadium Wall
This kid will be there at the end of round 2. -
I guarantee they will be drafting a safety this year. The question is how high. Neither of their backups is very athletic. I think their future may include converting Tre in his later years.
-
I have run 100 mocks on at least 5 different sites and there won’t be a starting CB2 available if you wait beyond early round 2. So if they don’t pick it in Round 1, Bills must use assets to move way up in Round 2. 85% of the top 32 CBs in the league are round 1 draftees, so the whole narrative that we can draft some guy in later rounds and McD them into a really good corner is not supported by data. Picking BPA is what you do when you are building a good roster or depth. When you have a glaring need to win a Super Bowl, you fill that need at all costs, even if it means you have 4 guys rated better.

Poyer is a FA after ‘22 and Hyde is signed until ‘24 is why I said Poyer is gone first. It’s not about his level of play at all.

Are ACL injuries no big deal anymore? The data suggest they are
Locomark replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well Tom Brady had an ACL,PCL, and MCL all tear in 2007 (aka the terrible triad) and he is playing 15 years later so I would say it all depends on whether you can a) play with a brace and b) commit constantly to having strong leg muscles surrounding that injured area. Basketball, tennis, and football are tough sports for that ACL because of all the pivoting where your foot can get stuck planted and that same knee can get twisted or stepped on again. I worry about Tre because a CB isn’t in control of where the play will go so that is harder on the knees IMO. I had triad surgery and it took a long time to trust it but before it all went I only had an ACL tear and I was still able to run and even push weight with the leg. So for a solid pro, an ACL isn’t a career ender at all. Reality is someone like Tre could also end up being moved to safety in the future if his change of direction is impacted. To some of the prior posts, this isn’t the 80’s or 90’s where tears often ended careers. The world of medicine is way different now. They have much better techniques. -
Name 2 players drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2022
Locomark replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Andrew Booth Jr - CB Nick Cross - Safety -
Poyer is gone at the end of the year folks. Can’t keep the whole gang together and he is the oldest of the 2 safeties. This agent just seals that fate as he will want a $12-15 million / yr deal and that isn’t going to happen.

NFL Arrests since 2000 (Bills #26)
Locomark replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone else think the Texans are getting away with crap? Bottom of the list and then Deshawn gets no grand jury charges to even hear a single case? Sounds like some team gets the good ‘ol Texas wink and nod to suppress evidence. I was always taught the simplest answer is usually the right one. This one reeks of corruption. -
Let’s give Antonio Brown some Million Dollar love.
Locomark replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
That moron would likely cause some major distraction in the middle of an AFC championship game with our luck. I would sign Curtis Brown before I would sign Antonio Brown. Awful choice for our locker room. -
I can agree with davefan66. I was in the upper deck for that game as a teen and the TV timeout at the 2 minute warning was so loud it was like we won the Super Bowl! That was the tear down the goal posts game. They almost threw one of the uprights off the upper deck on the visitor side, which I was on, until cooler head prevailed and realized it would have killed people below. The other upright went into Ralph Wilson’s box. After that I made it a point to go to every Miami game every year, even when I moved out of Buffalo because of that game. It became my annual pilgrimage.

The Bills need to acquire an enforcer on defense.
Locomark replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Bears are dumb enough, try trading them Edmunds and Cody Ford (since they need OL help) for Roquan Smith. Both LBs are FAs next year and if we are rolling with a big check I would go Roquan over Edmunds all day. We would be amazing on defense with that. I know that would never happen but a man can dream…. -
As an aside I can see us calling Sanders after any major injury to come play for half a season of even just the December and beyond. He said he wanted to show he was dedicated to a team and didn’t know if he could go for a full year grind unless he was all in. Knows the system and everything he said this week shows he loves this team.
