  1. First thought was how is this guy still constantly competing for roles. Then I saw Bears and I knew why.
  2. This is why I expect us to dial up more pressure this year early on. It’s time for the offense and that DL to shine to start the year. Let’s start a week from Thursday and put 35 on the Champs with 3-4 sacks.
  3. It you look at the substitutions in the one drive with Josh in the preseason game. The first outside sub was McKenzie and the 2nd was Shakir. You won’t see Kumerow much unless it is to block or if the game is out of hand. He is absolutely WR6.
  4. They said on GR that if a player makes the 53 and then goes on IR there is an advantage to the team as he can come back during the year. I would assume that will be what happens and he will be where the Punter spot goes.
  5. I know this team loves Kumerow and Sweeney in the locker room but both of those guys have been around multiple years and will never truly contribute much. Kimerow isn’t some elite ST player and Sweeney was abominable last year. Move on already.
  6. I found out this week they actually poll players midseason. What a joke.
  7. A terrible week is when your football team is massively hindered from winning games. This didn’t do that. This was a terrible PR week only. The next ugly story will replace it and there is always one right around the corner in the NFL.
  8. Except for last years playoff loss…. But that was coaching. Coverage teams do matter. If you looked at the preseason they did a lot of kicking only 3 yards deep in the corner of the end zone. They want teams to start < 25 yard line.
  9. I watched preseason and Lindstrom was horrible. You are going off his college name brand which appeared to not to have panned out. He looked like Tenuta.
  10. Why isn’t an offensive lineman also a defensive lineman, I mean they are both lineman? Same answer. Different mechanics and body movements.
  11. Keenum is as good as his surrounding cast. With our top offense he can be better than average for a few games and that is all we need. Barkley won’t be. Barkley is average to poor no matter who he plays with.
  12. IMO, You must have seen a different group of games than what I saw. He is a PS squad guy at best. He had zero ability to handle the edge. I thought he was outplayed by the undrafted kid Anderson.
  13. If they played Kumerow this few a snaps on teams and gave Hodgkins a good look it means they are seriously considering dumping Kumerow because his sole value is on teams. Any guy at WR6 must be a teams guy or he won’t be on this roster.
  14. No matter what happened Araiza should be cut. I could totally see the event he describes as having played out where the girl shows up drunk to Araizas house, hits it off with him, its his house so of course he hands her a drink. He fools around with her with her consent. Say there are 100 people at his house. As the night goes on he is totally unaware of what else is going on, as he is the host. The rape likely occurs but she is also blitzed. She remembers the incident but also remembers him because she wasn’t as blitzed when she met him. It’s quite possible she is mixing the 2 incidents together and that may be what he is claiming. Whether he was involved in the rape or not, he certainly knew it occurred. The main thing that bugs me about all of this besides the obvious is could this be why he was the 3rd punter picked? Did other teams know this investigation was going on and we just didn’t do our full due diligence? Either way I would bet my house he won’t be on this team soon.
  15. They have 11 days for that guy to find a rhythm with Bass and the snapper. That is what matters. I don’t want to drop the opener on a missed FG. That’s the challenge with waiting until after cut downs. Just do it now.
  16. That was the Pats scout
  17. When Belicheck has to prop up a QB after talking down to Brady every year I suggest this is him hoping encouragement will breed improvement. It’s not Belicheck’s normal style so it seems less genuine to me.
  18. I was never for drafting a punter before the 6th, unless we had a very poor offense. Love this pick here, but I would have screamed this was crap if this was a 4th.
  19. It’s called a big nickel and it isn’t criminal to need one when we play NE twice who plays 2-3 TEs, Miami twice, and KC who all require a big nickel. This is a specialty player and may even be a potential hybrid safety. Actually pretty smart if they didn’t feel really great round 3 value was there elsewhere. No need to overdraft.
  20. How many plays have they actually played? If Poyer sits, which his agent may advise, we are screwed. We need bodies there for competition.
  21. I was pissed until I saw the metrics showing explosion, speed, and agility all being great or elite. Sounds like a big nickel sub guy or an Alexander blitz and cover specialty weapon to me. You can draft this when your team is stacked. We his tells me they never felt like there was anyone in this round that was going to be a starter challenger.
  22. Probably already posted but here is a league wide tracker.. wow a ton of players signed by Dallas and Indy https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2022-nfl-undrafted-free-agent-tracker-falcons-sign-titans-coach-mike-vrabels-son-eagles-sign-carson-strong/
  23. Why are you not listing Weatherford or Blankenship here? Both are probably the best safeties we can get in UDFA if you sort through all the various scouting profiles. We need safety depth because what we do know is Poyer isn’t happy and we have uncertainty in his backups.
  24. Coaching and having a cb2 with no speed..
  25. I love this pick. Pass catching speed guy that can make defenses worry about whether to play with an extra defensive back or LB. Belicheck won’t know to cheat his lineup against us. He will end up rushing 2 and making us run it again.
