Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
Locomark replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
This was a great suggestion but the NFL will never take revenue off the table. I heard someone today say let the top teams play at a neutral site. That’s a new one. -

The other choice is to make the game a tie. -

Who booked flights when the games and team haven’t been determined yet? -

They aren’t playing tomorrow. Of that I am 100% certain. -

If the game were to be played Wed they wouldn’t have sent the Bills home. They would be flying back today. -

It’s funny but how many times have the Bills had a TD scored on them in the first series in the last 3 years. It seems like a ton. I almost always say “well it will get better that’s just the Bills”, no matter who the opponent is. I was not writing this game off by any means. -

I thought about this and that they move the pro bowl to the day before the Super Bowl. -
I just don’t see how they play the Bengals game with Hamlin’s true status not being known for days or maybe a full week or more. A. I prefer they give both KC and the Bills a Bye and kill the #7 seed in the AFC. I know the NFL will never do this because it’s 1 less playoff game. B. If the Bills and Chiefs both win next weekend, we are 13-3, Chiefs 14-3, Bengals 12-4. they could rank Bills and KC 1 and 2 based on conference %. Though this really screws the Bengals because they didn’t get their shot at us. (Chiefs would 9-3, Bills better at 9-2, FYI Bengals are 8-3) C. They can select by plain win % then KC gets the 1 seed (assuming they win Saturday) and we get the 2 seed. Now we get stuck with an extra game and no bye through no fault of our own, which makes me push back to my option A because why should we be punished for an act of god? Other ideas?

Look at the replay. He got hit in the throat / neck area not the chest. Not saying you are wrong but look at what he got hit. My explanation makes perfect sense based on the location of the hit. Rupture or clock the airway would allow the air in your lounge enough air for you to stand and move a big before you pass out. Then lack of more oxygen flow would give you cardiac arrest. So they would need to get you airflow first and then cpr. We’ll see what they say but the hit location was not the chest or you would think we would be seeing them all the time.

I assume he had a blocked / brokn trachea which would block his airflow which would eventually stop his heart. They restarted his heart and then would need airflow restarted. Many trauma nurses on Twitter have said this is recoverable BUT the big question is how long his brain and organs went without oxygen and what damage is done. It’s not likely that will be known for days so I doubt they will be playing tomorrow either which means the teams likely won’t can’t play this game this week.

1/2/23 Week 17 Gameday Bills @ Bengals Pregame Thread

McKenzie drops oh I mean it was Beasley who is now at a 25% drop rate LOL.. -
He is our best defensive player this year and should be our DPOY internally.

I ran and played pivot sports for 2 months on a torn miniscus and torn MCL. Basketball players do it all the time. Eventually I tore everything ACL,MCL,PCL, bucket handle miniscus tear and had a fracture but I was also substantially older. Bottom line is miniscus is purely pain management in many cases. With the adrenaline he has playing this game, he probably only feels it a few times a game and afterwards. It’s likely not affecting his running much.

Why don’t the Bills DB’s “chuck” receivers?
Locomark replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
No then you roll your safeties. You Chuck and run. It’s called man coverage and we have 2 guys that are really good at it. It will also get Burrow sacked. Ask Von since it worked in last year’s SB. You can do this when you have a good nickel and tangy LBs that can play zone in the middle. -
I hope the Bills use a change up and dress Cole AND Brown even if that means sitting the kid since they aren’t throwing to him anyway. The Bengals play dime man on 3rd downs, so stretch the field with Brown and Gabe and make them Cover Diggs / Cole / McKenzie over the middle with their young corners. I know it’s Browns last call up in the regular season without being put on the squad but we don’t need him next week.

Do we get Jamison Crowder back this season?
Locomark replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall
Crowder looked lost in this offense this year before the injury. I would much rather we have Cole and especially the kid roaming the middle of the field. For Cinci alone, I would prefer they dress Cole AND Brown over the kid so they can have vets stretch the field in every direction. -
McKenzie is much better than you suggest. He has less drops than Gabe.

The Jests; from 7-4 to 7-9. An epic collapse
Locomark replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
They have a ton of talent on both sides. If that team gets a QB, they will easily stay past the Pats for many years and could rival Miami. Maybe they just arm themselves with Jimmy G or Carr and take a shot it works out next year.
