Ravens vs Chargers MNF game thread (no Bills talk please)

Nah, you go for 2 both times. Especially to make it a 2 score game. -
Ravens or Chargers tonight? Consider the playoffs
dma0034 replied to Billyhouseman's topic in The Stadium Wall
The entire playoffs is going to be difficult to predict. Let's say it's Bills 2, Texans 4. The Chargers and Ravens are 5 and 6. Bills win and the Texans lose to the 5 seed Chargers and you could very much see a Steelers/Ravens game that could go either way and the Bills would play the 3 seed or the Chargers. If the Chargers are at 6 it could mean the Bills could potentially play the 5 seed Raven. For be the Ravens are the only team I don't want to see and I want to send them to Kansas City in round 2 (of they win). My hope is the Bills get the Steelers in round 2. -
I think matchups are important in the playoffs. I think the Bills would of had no problem with the Packers of last year. They struggled running (especially in the red zone) and played right into the Bills strength. I honestly only see the Bills beating the Lions one way: get ahead and get them away from that running game. Overall I do agree though: If you asked which team has had the most success the last 5 years besides the Chiefs it would probably be the 49ers. Even though they didn't win the SB they made it there twice and have had great teams. The real question would be would the other teams: Bengals, Eagles, Rams, Bills, Ravens. All have had different degrees of success and failure. The Bills don't have the Superbowl appearance but have won their division 4, soon to be 5, times in a row. Have finished as the 2 seed 3 times in the last 4 years while a team like the Bengals have that SB appearance and a 2nd AFC Championship game appearance but have missed the playoffs, only won their division twice and have never finished higher than the 3 seed. It's really how you define success

The last year the NFL eliminated the 2 seed bye the Chiefs won in the 2nd seed position. Since that time the Bills have gotten the 2 seed 3 out of 4 times.

I have a couple counter points for you: 1. I would bet that the highest probability that a team would be the Chiefs in a game (49ers-Bills) would be the 13 seconds game. Not only did the Bills have to play terrible defense but the Chiefs won the coin toss which resulted in a rule change. You are right though: I'm not sure if the Bills beat the Bengals; though ironically I think the Bills beat the Rams 2. Bills did beat Lamar. Yes it was in a windstorm but it did happen. Their last 4 postseasons have been ended by 2 of the 4 elite QBs of today; which is something the 49ers cannot say (though: Purdy getting hurt against the Eagles killed them). Brady won 7 and Manning won 2, how many do you think Manning would have if Brady didn't play? How many would Brady have it Manning didn't play (Manning did knock out the Patriots 3 times). Unforunately the two teams most devastated by the Chiefs current reign have been the Bills and 49ers in that exact order. While it's great to win the NFC Championship game the failure in the Superbowls have led to the NFC being labeled the weaker Conference.

With all that his decisions cost them a TO and 40 seconds late. The final play was from the 35 yard of the Browns. They may still have lost.... they also could have won I didn't say this loss was on Tomlin, I was stating his decisions definitely didn't put them in a position to win late -

The Steelers not allowing Chubb to score on his first hand off may have been the game. Also the Steelers accepting the 5 yard penalty Tomlin is just not great at coaching decisions -

It would have been better for the Steelers to let Chubb score there. Steelers are making terrible coaching decisions -

Why did Tomlin take that at all!? It's way better for it to be 4th and 2 here for Pittsburgh -

Tomlinson not calling a timeout and giving his Offense a little over a minute to get 30-40 yards is a mistake -
