Did he though?? i remember our defense turning NE over like 5 times that game. It was still awesome to watch
-
That’s fair. Him being discussed is what caused me to think about it. I agree with you, I wish them both the best and I’m very sorry to hear about Fitzpatrick’s mother.

In light of what going on in the country I wanted to get to the bottom of why Fitzmagic is so popular among Bills fans where Tyrod is not. My thought is it all comes down to heart. Fitzmagic didn’t care about throwing picks but he was gonna try to get that critical 3rd down conversion no matter what. Like when you can tell watching the game on TV “If we don’t get this one it’s over” Fitz could care less if he threw at pick at that point because he knew the game was over either way if we didn’t convert. Tyrod was the exact opposite he would never lose you a game but if we were behind the chains at all(e.g holding penalty or sack) we might as well have punted on 3rd down every time. As frustrating as that may have been he would rarely turn the ball over, especially when it mattered most. ( e.g. last year when Fitz threw a pick to TreDay allowing us to climb back into the game). To add to that I believe Tyrod was a main contributor to us ending to drought. My assumption is Fitz is viewed as a warrior, much like Josh Allen, and Tyrod is viewed as a game manager which is why there’s a disparity but perhaps I’m just oblivious.

Mesh point Josh Allen/ Motor

In both the Dallas and Pittsburgh games they tried to run a few screens and each time they were blown up, you’ll also notice a few more examples of the mesh point issues. -

Yeah I can’t figure it out as to why our screens aren’t effective but this seems to make sense -

I completely agree with the screen game comment but I’m not sure if it’s a RB/QB or OLine init Selling it enough ssue -
I’ve been rewatching the games from last year and a few things keep Coming up. 1) I’m super pumped and excited of what this team can accomplish next year. We have a difficult schedule but I’m not concerned at all, can’t remember the last time I thought like that. 2) Offseason work is NEEDED on the mesh point between Motor and JA. When they attempt to do read options which should be a staple in our offense, it’s too awkward and not nearly as smooth as it needs to be. This keeps coming up while reviewing the games. 3) I’m probably gonna get crap for this but I didn’t realize how many IMPACT play Shaq made. In our signature wins last year some HUGE defensive plays were because of Lawson and Although I’m confident the moves we made make me feel like we’ll be OK but it’s something that shouldn’t be over looked.

Really?
-
If we can get Clowney for $5 million obviously
-
And 5 million is the going rate for a top tier backup QB. Making this an effective 2 year contract. I really didn’t think this was that bad of a suggestion
-
I tend to get better at these things the more I drink
-
My structure would cost us 3.5-6 million this year in cap space
-
I’ve Drank too much while I’ve been in quarantine?
-
To give Josh a veteran QB as a backup. Also, with his running and willingness to do whatever it takes at times, it leaves him more prone to injury. We’d have one of the better backup QB situations in the NFL, upgrading from one of the worst,
-
He’s got a 17.5 million salary this year 0 guaranteed. That can be restructured to 3 years 18.5 with 10 guaranteed. What do you think, since he’s gonna be released anyway, the Bengals would probably take our extra 6th

Love this signing. The guy is a missionary on ST, and honestly with the way we play defense he’ll be a very nice fit. incredible instincts, the main idea along with ST may be able to help Edmunds quickly diagnosis plays as this is where I feel Tremaine can make the most growth in his game. Matakevich’s knock coming out of Temple was did he have the athletic ability to compete min the NFL but then surprised at the combine and has looked great as a plug and play ST ace and has also had some very good preseason games at ILB. But if you throw on the tape of his last year in school specifically the ND the guy was on a mission it was incredible to watch. I know I’m gonna get flamed for this but this could be a Jerry Hughes type of situation. We’ll see but I’m pumped.

Josh Allen’s drop vs Mahomes
billvernsays replied to billvernsays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m sure it is. So I’m saying get rid of all the 3 step drops because Allen rarely gets the ball out on time. I’m saying shouldn’t we start trying to play to his strengths? -
Josh Allen likes to set pretty shallow in the pocket where Mahomes likes to sit extremely deep. Given Josh Allen’s athletic ability and his arm strength it would make sense for him to take a deeper drop to allow his feet to help him if he needs it.

I really thought I’d watch that game and feel like we completely collapsed because that’s what it felt like watching it in real time. Now that I rewatched it, I feel better about Josh Allen, and the team going into next season. The National story line is he (Josh) fell apart after the fumble but in watching the game that’s not true. He was behind the chains often because of bad play calling or penalties and he made some incredible throws that were dropped or called back for a penalty. This coupled with the fact that he was forcing some things because we needed things to happen, and that how you get the poor stat line. IMO He needs 1 more WR out there that can get open and make a tough catch once in a while and I believe we’re gonna make a real run at this thing next season. Go Bills!!
