Ok, so I just heard in the last 3 games where the Bills were favored by 10 or more points, they're 0-3 against the spread. And... teams after playing the Lions are 3-10 against the spread. Definitely feels like a very Billsy thing to stumble against a team they should just bulldoze. Right now they're -14.5 point favorites. Hopefully we can live up to that & not let off the gas.

I would pause the game, turn off the TV as he's lining up to kick, wait about 5 minutes, then check the box score on my phone. If he made it, I'd turn back on & watch. If not, I'd already be on here ranting & spamming posts about how much Bass sucks... But there's almost no way I could watch Bass kick a potential SB-winning FG live. My heart would give out as the ball is snapped 😆

We can only hope. If there's one thing this season has taught me, it's that I don't hate the Chiefs or their fans nearly as much as I thought. But the Ravens? Their fans are AWFUL & incredibly whiny! Aside from winning the Super Bowl, the thing I want most is to see the Ravens go one-and-done in the playoffs. I'm an S-rank Ravens Hater now.

So he's 5 away from tying Manning for 2nd place and 8 away from tying Brady for 1st. 22 TDs in a single month is pretty crazy, but it looks like most of those are in October or November. Brees has the most in December with 16, and Josh should definitely break that. It's also cool to see he's already on this list 3 times!

Still going Bruce for now. That sack record will be untouched for a long time. But Josh is clearly the best QB we've ever had, so it's just a matter of time + achievements before he's at the top.

Mina is awesome, and she's almost always championing Josh Allen. Every sports analyst will have bad takes throughout their career. Every person on this board has a TON of bad takes (myself included). Anyone know what the record is for most total TDs in a given month? Allen has to be knocking on the door for December. 4 TDs vs the 49ers 6 TDs vs the Rams 4 TDs vs the Lions And he's still got 2 more games to end the month.

Well we got our wish! Allen played great in both games, lead the team to a lot of scores + no turnovers to top it off. Granted, we went 1 - 1, but the game we did win was against the best team in the league (according to most). Just don't listen to Shannon Sharpe, as he's still on the Lamar bandwagon.

I wouldn't say it's a lock at all. It sure looks like it based on our schedule, but those are division games, and Josh has had a tough time with the Jets in the past. Hopefully it'll be easier now that Saleh is gone, but the Pats also beat us last year with Mac Jones (when they had the worst offense in the league). You just never know, and I'm hoping we get through healthy & with some great momentum (and a Josh Allen MVP).

Cowherd talks about it right here at 19:11 in the video - They both basically say Josh would be all but unbeatable if playing in a dome, and how they're surprised the Bills didn't go that route just to capitalize on it for another 8 or 9 years.

Of course none of the teams I want to lose are losing... Is it too much to ask for the Giants to beat the Ravens & the Browns to beat the Chiefs?! Ok yeah... yeah, it is. 😅

As long as it's the AFCCG, sure... Though I'd prefer to avoid them at all costs. Last year, all I wanted was to play KC in the playoffs, but that was before all the additional injuries to the D. Now I'm just tired of all that black voodoo magic nonsense & want to avoid them for as long as possible. Hell, I want to avoid the Ravens too just because of that run game. But if we can make it to the AFCCG, it's at least an improvement over the last few seasons.

Well, looks like we gotta find a way to hold down the fort in the 2nd quarter. Lions have an insane +131 point differential in that quarter, while the Bills have a +50 differential in the 4th. The 4th quarter is also the Lions' weakest quarter, but I'm guessing a lot of that is due to blowing so many people out by halftime & letting up after that.

What talents? He's clearly not good enough to even dress. He can occasionally be in the right place & capitalize to get a turnover, but he's constantly beat even in man coverage. But I guess everyone else got beat all day against the Rams, so Elam would've fit right in. Guess you're right, throwing Elam in there wouldn't have gotten any worse. Probably would've just been more of the same, only more holding/PI penalties & maybe a chance at an INT.

I know, but I care. And I know a lot of other people do as well. In fact, I have an unhealthy obsession with it this year, because he's long overdue. The Super Bowl is the priority, but I want that MVP for him!

But the next 3 are the Jets & Patriots (x2). Voters won't be impressed by that. If people's recent memory is "he lost the last 2 games he played vs winning teams (back-to-back)," they're going to view the back-to-back losses against the Ravens & Texans in a different light. Those weren't just early season flukes, those were just who Allen & the Bills are when they face better teams. He still would have a chance, but I think that would require Saquon to slow down, and the Ravens to not go on a win streak.

I'm not speaking of a literal asterisk, I'm speaking of people ALWAYS bringing up "well Mahomes sat his first year!" after every one of these records. You can deny it doesn't happen, but that's not reality. Even in this thread it was pointed out. Also, OJ's record isn't even talked about outside of Bills fans, and that's a far more standard type of record ("most ___ in a season" vs "most ____ over first X years"). People care more about most yards in a season or most TDs in a season or most sacks in a season, rather than "most sacks for a player before age 30" or "most TDs in a player's first 7 seasons." People talk about Eric Dickerson's rushing record, while only Bills fans are there to say "but he did it in 14 games vs 16!" In contrast, every time I see NFL or ESPN or any sports personality post about Allen's "most ___ in first X seasons," the replies are FILLED with people saying "Mahomes sat his first year, so it doesn't count!"

This is the most critical game all year for Allen's MVP candidacy. If the Bills lose, he won't escape the narrative of losing to good teams. People will forgive everything else if the Bills beat both the Chiefs & Lions. As much as I want to win for playoff seeding, I really want to win to keep the MVP hopes alive.

That's the one thing that sucks. All of these accomplishments will always have an asterisks brought up, and it's not unfair to do so either. Doesn't mean Allen's accomplishments aren't great, they absolutely are, but I wish Mahomes started that first season just so we wouldn't always have to add this extra context.
