  1. YAY! I got like... half my wish!
  2. Siran Neal eats corn the long way.
  3. Maybe they met the requirements, then instantly went back over in preparation for when White's $10 million is freed up! I dunno, I'm an idiot when it comes to these things.
  4. This is not the year to do this. I know, I know, we all want to win NOW. But we took our shot with Von Miller & co., and fans seem unhappy or unwilling to accept the reality of our situation. There are too many holes, and we've got too much money tied up in existing contracts. Obviously people are learning that "the cap isn't real," wasn't exactly true. So as we watch the Bills scrape the bottom of the FA barrel & high profile players go elsewhere, people are understandably looking ahead to the draft. Sure, the Bills are likely to trade up at various points in the draft, but only in the later rounds. A bunch of 4th, 5th & 6th round picks are only going to help you move around so much, mainly within the same round. With the Bills only having a single pick on day 1 & day 2, they're more likely to trade back than move up imo. The team also is trying to get significantly younger, so they'll need as many of these picks as they can get. I could see them being more aggressive next year, but this off-season will be less splashy... draft included.
  5. Hell yeah! This was one of the few players I actually named as people I wanted! I think he'll be very successful here if he can stay healthy. 2022 - 64 rec / 656 yards / 4 TDs 2023 - 62 rec / 613 yards / 4 TDs Obviously not the numbers Gabe Davis put up, but also - he was playing in Washington.
  6. Eh, we get one of these guys every year. Only this time they were even cheaper (because we're broke). John Brown Cole Beasley Emmanuel Sanders Jamison Crowder Trent Sherfield Mack Hollins Oh shoot, we're going backwards... 🫢
  7. I wouldn't say we're "falling behind," but the Chiefs definitely have the advantage (again). -KC as-is was good enough to win the Super Bowl already -Their biggest needs are tackle & WR, and they've got the money to pursue one while drafting the other. -Resigned Chris Jones. -Now have $15.3 million in cap space. -Just like we expect for our players, it's fair to expect many of their young guys will improve after another season. Here's some of their recent draft picks that have become starters & will likely improve even more - Offense: Rashee Rice WR (2023 2nd round Wayna Morse LT (2023 3rd round) Isiah Pacheco RB (2022 7th round) Creed Humphrey C (2021 2nd round) - 2nd team All Pro, 2 x Pro Bowl Trey Smith RG (2021 6th round) Defense: Trent McDuffie CB (2022 1st round) - 1st team All Pro George Karlaftis DE (2022 1st round) Bryan Cook SS (2022 2nd round) Nick Bolton MLB (2021 2nd round) Their OL is mostly young draft picks, their defense was #2 in ypg & resigned their best player, and they've got more money to spend. Not only that, they've got that Super Bowl credibility that'll attract players easier like the Pats were able to do. The Bills have less money, older team, key players coming off injuries, and only made it to the divisional round. That's saying nothing about the obvious coaching disadvantage.
  8. 5th round, but we all know the likelihood of a late round guy panning out vs guys in the top 3 rounds is quite significant. I'm not even disagreeing that we can't find guys in the late rounds, only that it's not a smart bet to assume you'll get multiple starters out of 5th, 6th & 7th round guys. Earlier this year I was listing off all the great WRs that came from later rounds, so I'm all about that. But there's a good reason 1st, 2nd & 3rd round picks are valued so much higher than last day draft picks.
  9. Even if Dawkins isn't the best Tackle out there, I love how much he loves Buffalo, the Bills franchise, Allen & the fans. It's not often that one of your most outspoken players is an offensive linemen, but I hope he retires a Bill.
  10. The Bills have: 1 x 1st rounder 1 x 2nd rounder 2 x 4th rounders 3 x 5th rounders 3 x 6th rounders 1 x 7th rounder Are we really relying on 7 x 5th round picks to all be signed & fill our roster needs? Plenty of those will be bundled to move around in the draft, but 5th/6th/7th rounders aren't netting you too much either way. Then again, our 6th & 7th round CBs contributed more than our 1st round CB, so maybe we'll get lucky.
  11. No, we have nowhere near enough "elite" talent. Elite: 1. Josh Allen 2. Matt Milano (when healthy) Maybe Elite: 1. Stefon Diggs - Used to be elite, but age or commitment is slowing him down 2. Ed Oliver - Great season last year, but didn't make an impact in the KC game (unlike Chris Jones on the opposite side of the field) There are some good players a tier below, but not "elite." Go back a few years, and White, Hyde & Poyer would definitely be on that list. And with our cap situation, Beane will have to draft extremely well this year to fix that issue.
  12. I'm obsessively refreshing this page & others, hoping to see the Bills somehow get under the cap. This is not healthy!
  13. I'd love to have Bosa here. He's guaranteed 10+ sacks when healthy, but that's the rub. He's missed 20 games the last 2 seasons, so availability is a huge concern.
  14. Maybe Curtis Samuel? Or (dream scenario) find a way to trade for Brandon Aiyuk since he's on the last year of his contract, wants to get paid soon, and are cap situation will be much better next year if we want to find a way to extend him? Yeah right... wishful thinking, but a man can dream! Regarding other positions, I'd take Josh Jacobs more than most of the RBs out there. I'm not as sold on Cook being the incumbent starter as much as some people. Outside of the Cowboys game, he was averaging less than 4 ypc almost every other game the 2nd half of the season. Connor Williams would be a good replacement for Mitch Morse (if we could afford him). He'll be coming off a torn ACL, but he's 26 & was considered a top 3 center when healthy. I doubt any of these come true given our cap situation, but the cap situation is also why I've barely put much effort into seriously scoping out FA's this year. I'm guessing most of the guys we sign are players I've never heard of or am only vaguely familiar with.
  15. Don't forget Hyde's neck injury that took him out for most of the 2022 season, with Poyer battling injuries off & on as well.
  16. That's pretty insane... and tempting. But I'm on record for wanting to go all-in on offense, as it's the only way I can see us realistically getting past the Chiefs in the playoffs. No matter how highly ranked our defense is, it'll never be good enough to shutdown Mahomes/Kelce/Reid in the postseason. Our QB is great, so let's outgun them. BUT, a guy with this size having this kind of athleticism sounds amazing if he can reach his full potential.
  17. But won't that just open up a large amount of seats for people looking to just flip tickets each week? I honestly have no idea the rules or economics of these things, but I'd assume there's a market for people buying up seats at any NFL stadium for the explicit reason to resell tickets. Can people who live nowhere near the market buy PSLs to then secure seating to resell to visiting team fans? If so, we might see a larger % of away team fans than we currently do.
  18. I remember having a binder filled with 90's Bills stuff, along with some other random items I've collected over the years. Signed Thurman Thomas Jersey Signed Eric Moulds Rookie card Signed Marv Levy HOF Football And that's about the only ones I remember off the top of my head. Doubt they're worth much, but still cool.
  19. I feel the same as I always have... He's not a longterm answer for this team. Hopefully he'll make me eat my words later & prove me wrong, but I don't see it. He has made a handful of memorable plays, so I'll always appreciate that.
  20. I look forward to signing him in 2 years, when he's assuredly still getting 1,000+ yards each season.
  21. If we do, I'll be the one spamming! This guy has never had a season of less than 1,000 yards, regardless of who is throwing to him! Cut everyone but Josh & sign him!
  22. All you gotta do is draft the best player and you're set! Never understood why teams draft bad players... are they dumb or something?
  23. I will turn around & immediately jump out my window if we use another 1st on an Edge player. Unfortunately, I won't fall far from the first floor, but at least I'll know the intent was to smash my head in frustration 😅
  24. Even though the cap is supposedly not real, it sure does have a huge impact on team building & who we can potentially sign! 😉 Unfortunately, it feels like we're going to be pretty limited for another off-season, so we once again will be looking towards the draft for help. I'm excited either way, if only to see a healthy Milano & Bernard back out there, & Kincaid with a year of experience under his belt!
  25. I mostly agree, but Douglas isn't really "old" either. He's 29 now, will be 30 next season, but still has a couple seasons of good football left in the tank. Most importantly to me, he can help us win a Super Bowl next year. We saw what can happen with injuries, especially in our secondary, so I'm still hoping they can figure out a way to keep him. Then again, I'm not like a lot of people on here who are optimistic about Elam. He's made some clutch plays, but I don't have much confidence in him overall.
