  1. You trade them, then try to fill the hole in the next draft. That's usually what we do will all other positions right? Draft a player, watch them develop into a great player, then let them leave via free agency or trade them for picks that we'll use to replace them. Always stuck in neutral. I mean look what we did with the RB position... We had a Pro Bowl RB in Travis Henry, then spend a 1st round pick on an injured RB who won't play for his entire rookie season in Willis McGahee. Then McGahee starts taking off, and we trade him to the Ravens because he talks down about the city. Then we waste yet another 1st round pick on Marshawn Lynch, he gets to the Pro Bowl, but because he had character issues and got suspended a couple games, we spend ANOTHER 1st round pick on CJ Spiller! At one point we had Marshawn Lynch, Fred Jackson AND CJ Spiller on the roster at the same damn time! And who ends up staying on the team the longest? The undrafted RB who we didn't use any picks on in Fred Jackson
  2. Baker Mayfield isn't anything like Manziel. He's more like Philip Rivers in that he'll run his mouth, but he's a true pocket passer that has a quick release, canon for an arm, and can read defenses. He's smart and extremely talented. Do I think he's the best choice? Not necessarily. But after watching him for years, he's not like the immature Manziel. Mayfield has actually started 4 years in college, and has gotten better & better each year compared to Johnny's 2. Manziel was drafted as a junior after his 2nd season starting. Mayfield will have been a graduated senior after starting 4 years.
  3. I would've liked to have still had him on the roster. Especially the way our defense is playing now, maybe he could've added some depth. Who knows, though.... Dareus was the real tipping point for the D, so Ragland probably wouldn't make a difference anywhere.
  4. Hunt rushes for 250+ yards on us. Tyrod has 7 or more 3 & outs. Under 180 passing yards. Probably 1 garbage time TD. RBs have more receptions than everyone else combined.
  5. "* Name another Bills QB who had us on the brink of the playoffs in the last 12 years." That's the standard now to get up there? That feels like an insult to those others who are up there and makes the Bills look very little-league (like giving Terrell Owens a key to the city lol)
  6. You do realize you don't have to be a Peterman fan and still think Tyrod sucks right? Because no matter how bad Peterman was on Sunday, it doesn't change anything we've seen of Taylor for the 3 seasons now. He's still not a good QB.
  7. Both guards seem to have regressed, but that can have a LOT to do with proper coaching.
  8. Well the media has been calling him stupid, idiotic, dumb, etc all week, so he was under some of the most intense pressure & scrutiny I've ever seen a coach receive...just look at these headlines (the articles go on to blast him even more): "Bills realize the stupidity of their QB decision" - https://nypost.com/2017/11/22/bills-realize-the-stupidity-of-their-quarterback-decision/ "Sean McDermott's mixed messages send Bills into chaos after QB debacle" - https://sports.yahoo.com/m/4484273b-409a-399c-90a5-8c5b761eaa1c/ss_sean-mcdermott's-mixed.html "Sean McDermott's decision to bench Tyrod Taylor put Bills in free-fall" - http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/30059/sean-mcdermotts-decision-to-bench-tyrod-taylor-put-bills-in-free-fall "Tyrod Taylor Is Bills Starter Again, Because Why Not?" - https://deadspin.com/tyrod-taylor-is-the-bills-starter-again-because-why-no-1820676576 "Peterman is a punchline but McDermott's coaching labeled a 'joke'" - http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2017/11/20/buffalo-bills-coach-sean-mcdermott-national-media-joke/883701001/ "Bills' quarterback dilemma is as clear as black and white" (a piece saying it's about race) - http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/bills-quarterback-dilemma-clear-black-white-article-1.3645016
  9. We've been hearing that same line since the Bledsoe days. People called him a statue while others blamed the O-line. Then with JP Losman and Holcomb, people threw out every All-Time great saying "even they can't do anything behind that line!" Trent Edwards got the same excuses, as did EJ Manuel. "Tom Brady couldn't lead this team to a win today with a line like that!" Yes, our line sucks. But to say no QB's would've made a difference is also wrong. Problem is teams don't respect EITHER of our QBs' ability to throw and actually play the position. Nobody is afraid of Tyrod throwing more than a 6 yard pass at most. When he throws downfield, 90% of the time it's going to sail over the target's head, and all the rest of the times he's not even go see the open man. So what do defenses do? They stack the box and make our QBs play QB. Then we get destroyed. They can bring constant pressure, leaving man on man coverage because there's no respect for the player behind center. Just because our line is bad doesn't mean a better QB wouldn't help alleviate some of these issues tremendously. Russell Wilson had a crap line for several years and still managed to put the team on his back. It does matter believe it or not.
  10. If you consider that short pass a "laser" at his forehead, you're blind. Anyone playing in the freaking NFL should catch that ball. Your excuses against Peterman are worse than most of the ones covering for him.
  11. Man, defenses treat our O-line like a joke. They're actually just laughing at us and in shock how easy it is to do anything they want. Can we hire Kromer back? The Rams O-line seems much improved since he got there, and ours was a helluva lot better with him. Obviously we need new personnel too, but someone who can coach makes a lot of difference as well.
  12. Don't be fooled next week, the Bills will make Kareem Hunt look like a god. You think this is rock bottom? Next week will probably lower the bar again.
  13. We should just run the wildcat from here on out. It'll be better than watching Tyrod pretend to be a QB & Nate lobbing picks all game.
  14. That's way too many holes to fill through one or even 2 drafts.
  15. I don't know what's scarier... the fact we still have to play the Pats twice or what a guy like Kareem Hunt will do to us next week when play KC. I'm telling you guys, Hunt may break the NFL all-time single game rushing record next week against us. He may hit 300 yards.
  16. He doesn't. He's always held on to the ball too long. And in the one situation where a dump pass would've made sense, he didn't do it....
  17. Still doesn't change the fact his starting job was taken away from him mid-season. The Bills were willing to throw a 5th round rookie in there over Tyrod thinking ANYTHING has got to be better than THIS. Regardless of how it panned out on the field, that would resonate with any semi-competitive person. If Tyrod is truly a self motivated and driven person, it should really hype him up to make him want to lay it all out there and prove he's worthy of being a starting NFL QB.
  18. I'd take Smith every day of the week. QB's are playing successfully longer & longer, and Smith is only 33 compared to Brees who will be 39 in January. People said Brees was old years ago, yet imagine if the Bills had him the past 6 years! There's a chance Smith could still be playing at a high level until he's 39 or older too (it's unlikely Brees just retires this year), so out of all options available I'd take him 1st and foremost.
  19. The best we can hope that comes from this game is Tyrod got a wake up call and developed a sense of urgency. When you're 3rd & long, dumping off 2 yard passes to the RB while you steadily fall further & further behind isn't ok. Maybe this lights a fire under his ass and next game he tears up the Chiefs (the Giants beat them today, so let a man dream)!
  20. Either we would've given them the ball through turnovers, or given it to them through punts, but either way we'd still be down 28+ points.
  21. Aaaaand back to overthrowing receivers... The QB position on this team is just awful. No, I'm not saying Peterman is better, simply they're both bad. The 2018 draft may as well be our Super Bowl, as it will either set us back 3+ more years or finally lead to us to success for the first time this millennium.
  22. Then you haven't been watching the game.
  23. Does he need to in order to stop the run or create pressure on opposing QBs?
  24. Yeah, when the defense gifts you tons of extra drives with most starting in opponent's territory, it's easy to win games. Even with the turnovers, Tyrod would just go 3 & out, but because of starting the drive in FG range we at least came away with points. When he got the ball in our territory, we still punted. If it wasn't for the defense playing lights-out, we'd likely have 0 wins this season.
  25. Can the Bills request to forfeit right now? The score being 37 to 7 would be an improvement over last week, so it'd probably be preferred over what's likely to come given a whole extra half of play.
