I feel like this game has so many red flags, and it's driving me crazy! 1) Allen has played very poorly on MNF the last few years (especially last year). He's 3-5 overall, but only 1 - 4 since 2021. That includes his 2 worst games last year: - 4 turnover game against the Jets (62.7 rtg) - 3 turnover game against the Broncos (59.3 rtg) 2) Allen has played OK vs the Jags, but not great overall (4 turnovers the last 2 games vs 3 TDs) 3) Jags have beaten us the last 2 times we've played, including during their awful Urban Meyer year. 4) The Jags are 0-2 and desperate. They NEED the win & can't afford to drop to 0-3. 5) They actually have a pretty good defense. They're tied with the Bills for 9th fewest points per game (and our opponents share the same overall record - as we've both played Miami + a 1-2 team). 6) I'm a whiny baby & have a bad habit of overthinking things! 😭 That being said, I'm still sticking with the Bills winning 34 - 16!

Tbf... If I was Tom Brady, I'd also feel weird taking plays from Byron Leftwich. I'm sure someone else in these 5 pages said something similar, but imagine being as successful as Brady, then having Leftwich try coaching you. He probably didn't have that kind of respect for him, so I believe Mayfield on that.

Exactly. I think the Chiefs of old aren't coming back (for the most part). They're all about small ball, dinking & dunking. When Mahomes throws downfield, they're turning it over more often than in the past. But last year he was also turning it over more than ever, only this time without the TDs to go along with the turnovers. Didn't matter in the end. They still won the SB.

True, though I meant more in that they weren't hurting themselves anymore & they got key players involved again. Kelce suddenly looked like old Kelce, and Rashee Rice looked like a veteran. Mahomes stopped throwing INTs almost altogether, and they didn't have the drops or costly penalties they had throughout the season. They lacked the big-play explosiveness of old Chiefs teams, but they had been moving away from that for a while. Even with Worthy & Brown, I still expect to see a lot of passes behind the LOS & short passes trying to get guys in open space (kind of like what we're doing now). It seems like most teams are aiming for something like that, as defenses around the league are playing to keep everything in front of them & not get beat over the top. The Chiefs can keep struggling all year, but come playoff time, I don't expect that to continue. The worst they've ever finished in the Mahomes era is the AFCCG. That's absolutely crazy. Until I see otherwise, I expect them to make it that far again, and I'm just hoping the Bills will be healthier the next time we meet in the playoffs.

100% agree. And as they've shown every year, even when they're not playing well, they still win anyway. Even if I see Mahomes throw multiple INTs every week, I'm not passing judgement until it starts to dramatically affect their record. They're reminding me of the early 2000's Lakers, showing signs of rust or weakness during the season, then playoffs come around & they hit a different gear.

Mahomes doesn't run often, but he seriously one of the most shifty, smart QBs when running. DEs just nearly get him, then he slips away & breaks off a 15 yard run. It's so damn annoying!

If you're in the Dallas area, I've got a few young cats you could pick from! My mom rescues cats & gives them to her teacher coworkers, but asked that I watch one of them at my place. 2 weeks later I come home & there's 4 newborn kittens in my damn closet! That cat was pregnant, but nobody knew because she was rail thin & only about a year old herself. Well the vet said can't separate the kittens from the mom for 7 weeks, so we raised them at my house. Got 2 of them adopted, but 2 are still here. And that's not including the 1 cat I already owned (similar story, wife left & I got stuck with 1 dog & 1 cat) or the mom. They're super sweet & absolutely adore each other, so I've been hesitant to let them go unless someone can adopt both together. Soooo, whatcha think? 😁

I was thinking the same thing. We saw him struggle nearly all last season, then playoffs happened & everything suddenly started clicking. It's extremely irritating 😒

Yes, if only so I can turn down the volume & switch to something else when I'm nervous... I feel like they always do better when I'm not looking, so if we really need a conversation or a 3rd down stop, I'm looking away 😅

I think this is what I predicted in the other thread, and I'm sticking with it. Bills - 34 Jags - 16 Though I just found out today that Allen is 3 - 5 on MNF, so that does have me a bit concerned.

Despite the beautiful scenery & other things to do, San Diego had a very loyal (and sizeable) fan base. It was purely stadium nonsense. The area could easily support a team & did so successfully for decades. San Antonio could also support a team, but Jerry Jones is a prick & stone-walling things on that front. Completely disagree with the OP about an AFC team in Dallas. It would never happen. Dallas could definitely support 2 x teams, the metro area is massive. There's also a ton of transplants that don't care about the Cowboys at all & would probably enjoy rooting for a non-Cowboys local team. But the Chiefs have too much history in KC, and whether they stay in MO or move across the border to KS, they'll stay local. So if I had to guess which team would move, I'd also guess Chargers. No other team makes any sense. Most other teams are already in a big enough market, recently built (or are about to build) new stadiums, or couldn't find a better option than where they're already at.

It'd be easier to ask me who I don't root against, in which case I can say "the NFC + Titans, Colts, Raiders & Broncos." All of the following should lose every game and I'd be happy! Dolphins Jets Patriots Browns (until Watson is gone) Bengals Steelers Ravens Chiefs Chargers Texans Jaguars

Bills - 34 Jags - 16 I'm basing this on nothing but pure hope. Just like we lost exorcised the Titans demons on MNF via 41 - 7 blowout (2022), we'll exoricse the Jags demons via blowout on MNF. Either that or Josh Hines-Allen will be a game-wrecker once again & ruin our offense 😅

I wasn't worried about losing to Urban Meyer & the Jags when they were the worst team in the league. Also wasn't worried about many teams over the years, yet the Bills found ways to lose. But you're right, I take every game seriously. I wouldn't say "worried," but I don't casually pencil in wins looking at a schedule. The Bills have shown me they're capable of losing to the worst teams in the league, while also capable of beating the best teams in the league.

This team better come out treating this like a revenge game. Remember back when the Titans beat us in back to back years & we were set up to play them early in the season on MNF in 2022? Everyone was worried it'd be another close, tough game (me included). Then the Bills destroyed them 41 - 7. Really hoping we see a repeat of that & put the Jags permanently behind us.

Every time I wear my white Josh Allen jersey, they lose. Not only do they lose, Allen himself plays terrible. I've officially retired it after the MNF loss to the Broncos. Sucks though, as it was my favorite Jersey 😭

If Josh had previously suffered multiple concussions this season, or this was the 2nd concussion-like thing in a week's time, I'd sit him. If he only had 1 concussion but it was way earlier in the season, then this non-concussion thingy happened much later, I'd probably play him as long as he wasn't exhibiting after effects. But even if he showed ANY issues like dizziness, loss of memory, migraines, whatever, I'd sit him. Because in that scenario, he's probably not going to be very good in the playoff game anyway, regardless of the stakes. And given the way Josh takes off running & is likely to get hit, he's far more likely to get knocked out of the game anyway. If I think there's any chance a single collision could have him instantly relapse, what's the point of doing that? Better to give my backup (no matter how awful) the reps that week to prepare them, rather than risk ruining the career of my franchise QB. But if it was the first time this had happened, and Josh isn't showing continued issues, I'd also play him.

AND significantly less turnovers than other MVP contending QBs. That being said, I don't think 70% completion percentage & a passer rating of 105+ are something Josh will maintain throughout the season. 2020 was the only year he finished with an above 100 passer rating, just as 2020 was the only time he was close to 70% completions (69.2%). I predict if he could finish right at 100 rating with 67% completions + 4,500 total yards & 40 total TDs, he should be the MVP favorite, unless someone else really takes over with crazy numbers & efficiency (again, like 2020 with Aaron Rodgers). Then again, win total has become a big theme lately, so if the Bills don't finish number 1 or 2 in the AFC, it may not matter anyway.
