  1. Yep. Beane has had 8 drafts now, which is way more than most GMs get. We should have some great players anchoring both sides of the ball at this point. Like I look at the 2021 draft & see how it was basically a complete waste. 1st) Groot (OK, not great) 2nd) Boogie Basham- Traded for a 6th 3rd) Spencer Brown - Hit 5th) Tommy Doyle 6th) Marquez Stevenson 6th) Damar Hamlin - Decent for where he was picked. 6th) Rachad Wildgoose 7th) Jack Anderson 2022 got us James Cook, Khalil Shakir, Christian Benford & Terrell Bernard. A solid group to build off of, if only they followed that up with some premium talent to anchor both sides of the ball. Shakir shouldn't be our WR1. Bernard would be solid if our other LBs were decent or healthy. Benford is good, but they wasted a 1st in the same draft on Elam. 2023 got us Kincaid & Torrence. Kincaid is above average, but given our huge lack of talent, is basically our WR1 by default. 2024 set us back HARD. Another draft like 2021 where we had a lot of picks, only to squander them away. 2nd) Keon Coleman (But we traded back twice to take him, so basically our 1st) 2nd) Cole Bishop - Dud 3rd) DeWayne Carter - Always injured/Dud 4th) Ray Davis 5th) Van Pran-Granger 5th) Ulofoshio 6th) Javon Solomon 6th) Tylan Grable 6th) Daequan Hardy 7th) Travis Clayton 2025 consists of a bunch of injured players or those who won't make much of an impact this year. More "hope for the best in a couple years" kinda guys. So in the last 5 years & 41 picks, the Bills have found 3 x good - really good players (Brown, Cook & Benford), 3 x above average players (Torrence, Groot & Kincaid) and the rest are just bodies that fill out the roster. Meanwhile, others on your roster leave the team, get older, or get injured each year. Averaging 1 above average - good player a draft isn't going to replace what we lose.
  2. Hate to say it, but all my biggest fears are seeming to be realized. You can only fail so many drafts before that lack of talent eventually kills you. And who do we get in free agency? Nobody substantial, as we somehow have no cap from extending so many mid tier players. This is why I'm all about trading picks for players. After Allen, the best draft picks Beane & McDermott ever used were used to acquire Stefon Diggs. No other player has had an impact as big as him. Cook has become our best weapon, but we taking it out of his hands. Instead, we seem to want to rely more on Josh, but he's not been up to it. An INT in 3 straight weeks? 4 turnovers already? This is the "turnover machine" Allen, only now without the explosive plays to go along with it. There goes that "easy" schedule & looking ahead to the #1 seed. It'll take a massive turnaround to overcome all these issues.
  3. The D wasn't great, but they're so injured that at least they've got SOME excuse. But this is Allen's 2nd game in a row playing poorly. The offense looks like crap. A team putting up 21 - 23 points on us shouldn't be an insurmountable hurdle, yet here they are. It's reminding me of 2023. Allen turning the ball over. Offense can't consistently move the ball. Weird offense that can only get TDs or nothing... FGs apparently don't exist. Not sure if there's a way to fix this.
  4. Maybe this will convince people that McDermott & Beane don't know how to draft. They just consistently waste time & picks on nobodies. While other teams get better, we've wasted time combing the bargain bin to fill out the roster.
  5. That block on Jones was great! Got dropped right on his ass 😆
  6. Worthy looking good again. He's a really dangerous weapon with Reid & Mahomes.
  7. I'd be willing to part with 1st & 2nd round picks for AJ Brown or any good CB. I have more faith in a KNOWN good player than whoever Beane & McDermott spend those picks on. Out of the last 4 or 5 drafts, who is one 1st or 2nd rounder we've taken that's truly untradeable? James Cook? And even with him, half of yall were all about trading him this off season. None of those guys are as valuable as the picks we took them with. 1) Groot = Would anyone trade a 1st rounder for him? 2) Boogie = Taken with a 2nd, traded along with a 7th round pick for a 6th 3) Elam = Taken with a 1st, traded along with a 6th for a 5th + 7th 4) Cook = ✅️ 5) Kincaid = Would anyone trade a 1st for him? 6) Torrence = Probably would command a 2nd round pick ✅️ 7) Keon = Would he command a 2nd round pick? 8 ) Bishop = Nobody would trade a 2nd for Cole Too early to tell if Hairston or TJ Sanders would ever get back equivalent picks. The point is our draft picks are more valuable BEFORE we use them most of the time, so why not leverage that value for ESTABLISHED good players? It's like if someone offered you $100k, but you passed that up for $100k in lottery tickets hoping to win millions.
  8. Giants tried to bail out the Eagles & let them catch their breath, only for Jalen Hurts to say "nuh uh, we got orange slices in the locker room!"
  9. I think Beane should be making moves like his & McDermott's jobs are on the line. If this team loses in the playoffs for a 7th year in a row, how can you justify doing it again? The ONLY way I can see it being remotely reasonable is if we beat the Chiefs in the process. But given our schedule, they shouldn't be looking at 3 years down the road & how these rookies might EVENTUALLY develop. They need to do something THIS season. The Colts taking the 1 seed would be embarrassing. Stop wasting the best years of our franchise, MVP QB.
  10. That's was my first thought. Some people in the upper levels will have some coverage, but when the rain or snow is coming down, 2/3 of the stadium is gonna feel it.
  11. Rousseau is one of the most overrated guys on the D. Reminds me of Edmunds, with his one upside being that he's still young.
  12. I think they NEED to go if they don't make the SB this year. The only exception is if they beat the Chiefs in the playoffs & lose a close game to someone else. This team isn't getting noticeably better. The Chiefs have drafted later than us & managed to fix their D before "defensive-minded" McDermott did. Our cap has situation has prevented us from making any big moves for 2 years, and next year doesn't look much better. And because we've wasted multiple drafts on early picks that havent become big impact players, we're relying almost exclusively on our existing guys, free agents & late round picks to overachieve to close the gap. But is our D better than it was 3 or 4 years ago? Or did we just get slower & worse at stopping the run? Is our offense as good? Or did we just switch from a pass-focused offense that couldn't run consistently, to a run-focused offense that can't pass beyond 10 yards? Is yet ANOTHER draft from Beane & McDermott going to be the fix? Are more bargain bin FA signings going to be the fix? The only thing I can see making a big difference is a complete defensive shift. McD being released would mean Brady leaving too, so we'd just have to hope we pair Allen with an offensive-minded HC who can find a good DC.
  13. I heard they're also moving a Wrestlemania to Saudi Arabia. They must've been offered an absurd amount of money to do that, especially with the PR backlash that'll receive. Imagine if the NFL announced the 2028 was being moved to Saudi Arabia. Fans would lose their minds.
  14. I'm concerned about both. The Jags have had our number the last couple times we've played. The Colts should be scary simply for how well they run the ball. Too often we make the mistake of just comparing QBs & thinking we have the advantage, but coaching, defense & other players factor into things as well. As it stands, our defense would not do so well against the Jonathan Taylor. Thankfully, there's a lot of time left in the season. Still hoping for a miraculous turnaround when we get these guys off suspension & Ed returns. It won't help our sad DB situation, but it'll help in the trenches.
  15. That's what I've been saying for all these early round picks that people defend & say "give it time!" Other successful teams seem to expect their early round picks to make an impact that same year. But Bills fans seem fine with every 1st - 3rd rounder being a project that'll hopefully pan out in a few years. Will this be the year Kincaid looks like a top TE in the league? He's looking better than last year, but we'll see. Hairston got hurt, so that's another one we'll just have to hope pans out next season. Who knows what'll happen with TJ Sanders... another rotational guy on the DL or maybe he takes a step next year? Epenesa, Boogie, Bishop, Elam, DeWayne Carter, Dorian Williams... a mix of disappointment, TBD or no longer here. Sure, Spencer Brown & James Cook worked out, but damn that's a lot of wasted draft capital in players that aren't actually improving this team in any way.
