  1. Slop and shlop. 25-12 Bills. An OT catches the record TD. If not Dawkins or Brown then I think it will be Vandenmark. I think this game will have a special teams td. Codrington has been close he breaks one. Only thing to make this more sloppy of game is bad weather.
  2. Vrabel is the best available coach. I don't think it’s very close. Bad run teams will be intimidated by him and likely find a reason to not hire him. Give the man a qb and look out imo.
  3. That is every team. The very good players what has made Buffalo consistent over the last 7 years. Every team has a handful of guys. What is behind it makes a team good or not. The browns have the best defensive player in the league and a top corner.
  4. Allen, Johnson Brown, and Rousseau. I would make an argument for Cook and Benford. Thats 4-6. Dawkins and Milano were not his draft so I left them off.
  5. Get guys healthy is huge. Last season injuries derailed the defense. They have better depth now. They are more multiple as well. At full strength they can play for scheme and team specific than making work what ya got.
  6. Beating a division rival with back ups never gets old. That Miami game with Tua in a win and in scenario a few years a go and Antonio Williams ran for 100 yards was great.
  7. I think the defense is overstated. Being healthy is the key. Buffalo seems to be getting people back at the right time. Milano is beginning to look like himself. That will have as large an impact as anything. Hyde being available if needed will be large too. I think Mcdermott has the most flexibility in personal he has ever had on defense. 4-3, Nickel, Dime. I want to see him get in his bag this post season and push the team over the top.
  8. You have a 40 year old qb coming off injury and they spend good money on 2 late 30’s tackles who cant stay healthy? For how great a roster they have, it is really 4-6 players. Douglas drafted Wilson and traded for Rodgers. Never built an oline, had a dline but lost it for Rodgers “guys”.
  9. Virgil. First play of the game they throw a bomb. 70 yards and 14 seconds later Allens day is over.
  10. They are the best Tackle combo in football imo.
  11. Games in September are not the same as ones played in November and December. They count the same but the weight and significances are not the same. Neither Buffalo nor Baltimore are those teams. This season is as good as any for Buffalo to win it. Allen playing his best is always Buffalos best chance. The level he can reach is not matched by any current qb imo.
  12. His role in college was that of a slot/box safety. Playing deep third or half was always going to be an adjustment. Buffalo puts a significant amount of run responsibility on its safeties by playing Nickel. The best coverage safeties coming out usually are a liability vs the run. I think he is coming along. Better than his first game.
  13. Beane has done such a good job drafting we forget what busts look like. He hasnt hit all home runs but all but a few of the guys he drafts play in Buffalo or elsewhere. Vast majority of the impact players on the team were drafted here. Beane is a top 5 GM. Every leader of every statistical category on the Bills but TD catches is held by a player drafted by Beane.
  14. Besides Basham they haven't really struck out on the Dline.
  15. Why you dont keep coaches on the hot seat. NE is the only team with a QB so not a big deal. I do not see how you keep Schoen or Daboll after each year they have gotten worst and look the same each season. Saquan breaking Dickersons record vs NYG would be hilarious.
  16. They are mid draught level Bills in terms of job. They need a culture change. They will go re-re tread coach. They will aim for Vrabel land Rex or Rivera.
  17. You cant win the MVP when you have a running back leading your Conference in rushing yards with over 1800. Henry is a hall of famer having an all time season. Jackson is a great player. His stats have inflated due to defenses accounting for Henry. I think Allen wins. Same people that voted last season vote again this season. Allen has done the most with less and has Buffalo playing its best football since the K gun in 1990.
  18. Agreed. Time to slay all the dragons. Start with Cincy.
  19. Having Milano, Johnson, Benard and Rapp for a whole game changes things greatly. A third of the defense way out. Cooper and Coleman present match up issues for their secondary. Offensively, they are more balanced now than in September.
  20. Give me Bengals, Ravens, Chiefs. I think they are better than all of em. Go win it all and beat the best qbs on the way. No easy pass to the super bowl. Bring Lambardi to Buffalo and make Allen the unquestioned best player in the league.
  21. We are shredding him for garbage time? Not great but they were also playing ultra aggressive because coverage all around him was suspect. He is coming along as you would expect in a multiple coverage defense. Playing closer to the LOS would have made an easier transition because that is where be played in college. Hard to compare his arch to players playing different positions or in simplistic schemes.
  22. Idk about that. Most struggle in space in the deep third and half. Branch and Dejean both are productive from the slot. Bullock is good in coverage but could only imagine his run fits in this style of defense. Mcdermott expects a lot from his second and third levels. See Milano, Benard, Willams, and Johnson. All have been in and out of the lineup as young players. Hamlin likely replaces when healthy. The experience he has gained will help in the future or in the playoffs. I like he is starting to be around the ball and more importantly on more tackles. Tells my untrained eyes he is starting play and not think. You can correct an angle or a technique to make the play. If you dont see it or have the athletic ability it doesn't matter. I think Bishop and Williams are important in a playoff run. Need their speed in the defense. Also, they provide useful depth.
  23. He is asked to do more in coverage. With the changes at safety I feel more is on his shoulders. He has also been dinged up quite a bit this season. Still there is a massive drop off without him. I like the yin and yang of him paired with Williams. Milano and him play almost too similar in style and pursuit. Williams plays with his hair on fire. Yes, it can get him out of position but it imo it is no different than Milano or Benard getting engulfed by a lineman.
  24. Agreed. I think that is the pair in 2025. Bishop looked much better than his last run. He can put a few good games together he might be a part of the defense in the playoffs.
