Rumor: Bills trying aggressively to move up for a WR in round one
Mat68 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think a 2nd next year is in the chamber. If they can go all the way up next years 1 instead of a 2nd is in play. -

Manning. That said Marvin Harrison Jr has been a touted recruit. Been hyped his whole career and has met the expectations. That hype and pressure would fold a guy that wasnt it. Especially, now in the NIL about me culture. Seems to be like his dad. Out of the spot light hard worker. If your giving up a ransom you do it for him imo. Otherwise sit and pick our move to 19 to 23. -
McAfee Draft Spectacular Show Featuring Bill Belichick
Mat68 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall
As a football junkie the 30 mins from 730 to 8:00 will be a must watch imo. Bill Breaking down his board his way and what to expect Rd 1 will be interesting. Im a Pat guy and would watch either way. I think Bill uncensored on a live mike for 3 hours will change many peoples opinion of him. -

F them picks. If you make a massive move just go all the way. Get Marvin Harrison. Safest pick in the draft. If they are making a move all this talk about Udunze could be the smoke screen for trying to get Harrison. -
I think you get more out of edge at 60. Same ability to enter the rotation but replacement for Von Miller is more pressing than replacement for Jones. Having the ability to collapse the edge without leveraging the rush lane is more important in the NFL vs college. Trice, Braswell, Issac or Kneeland imo would be more impactful than fiske day 1 and a clearer path to a larger role in 25.

Beane was a big body guy. Drafted Benjamin and trade for him. Brought in Andre Holmes. Soon realized that was not the best method and went with Jon Brown, Cole Beasley and Diggs. Need a guy that can beat man coverage and stress a defensive deep. The big body red zone threat should be Kincaid. Need a deep threat most. Thomas, Worthy, Franklin and Walker. Wildcard is Burton. I am 100% convinced that is why Beane choose Alabama's pro day over Texas, to get first hand intel on Burton. -
I work til 4-5 Thursday. Grill some chicken and be ready to go draft time at 730. Last 3-4 years I have become a non traditional draft watcher. Started with bleacher report with Lefkoe and Simms. This year with Buffalo picking late I will mainly watch the Pat Mcafee draft spectacular. Having Bill Belichick on a hot mike uncensored for the duration of rd 1 is a must watch for me. On the clock I will go to a national crew because I assuming Pat and boys will be way off the rails by than but would want Bill’s analysis. Days 2 and 3 exclusively bleacher report. Analysis and grade of every pick in real time. The ESPN and NFL network coverage becomes a variety show. Before having a full time job and a family I really hated the change from saturday and sunday. That was like the start of summer when I was college age. Now I much appreciate being able to see the complete first 3 rounds live.

I dont see him as anything but the second 3 tech on the roster. Tough to draft a guy at 60 to be a back up. Oliver coming off a career year and new extension isnt going anywhere. His game doesnt really fit as a 1 tech.
-
After everything all offseason. Im back to where I was when Texas beat Alabama. What would Worthy look like with a Qb like Josh Allen. His ability to separate while tracking a ball in the air deep is rare. Desean Jackson Randy Moss rare. Played all over the formation at Texas. He is a fast football player not a fast guy playing football.

Lance Zierlein: Bills should draft 2 WR in the first 3 rounds
Mat68 replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Makes sense to me. If the guys they deem first rders are gone trade down. Pick up a third. Beane has a handful of guys he likes. Wont know until draft night how the order falls. -
I think Llyod at USC would be a target with a 4th or 5th. May go earlier but if a back is sticking out day 3 I think Buffalo takes them.
-
I would take Isaac or Braswell at 60 over Bishop. I think either guy can step into a full rotation at edge without a drop off. Possible for either to take the other edge spot of Von doesnt perform.
-
Availability is your best ability. He has all the tools but has yet to complete a season. Smaller guy often injured is not an ideal combination.

Kraft hurt Belichik's chances at becoming the Falcons HC per NYP.
Mat68 replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Kraft seems like an ass. The doc was a smear campaign on Bill. Not wanting Bill to get hired and win elsewhere is petty. Kraft believes Brady would have won another Superbowl in Ne and Bill ruined it. Reality is New England didnt have the roster. -
I would rather flip edge and safety. Go edge at 60 and safety at 163. I do not see much difference in the safety prospects as a whole to draft one at 60. Im not depending on Von to bounce back at his age. I think you need to add guy ready for snaps immediately. Edwards and Rapp is an ok pairing. Im not sure there is a safety in the class better than either. Not looking for elite traits for the position the need to invest a day 2 pick seems unnecessary.
-
Sounds like a team wants him to slide to them. Fluid guy with plus hands. Best games vs best competition. I think he is very much a possible target at 28. I would than question what player available at 28 wont have a level of risk? If they were clean prospects they would be top 5 or top 10 guys.
-
Yes, the coverage will play off. Now all the underneath opens up. That is what the offense needs. Without the ability to run past defenses the secondaries crowd up. Last season two safeties could sit around 15-20 yards off the LOS. That makes the windows incredible tight. Coleman does not make as many contested catches as you would want. His highlights are probably the best in the draft though. His addition to the offense doesn't solve the issues defenses are creating to slow them down.

Do you think Allen feels relief after the Diggs trade?
Mat68 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs believes he made Allen who he is now. Now Diggs best years were with Allen but he wont admit that. Same with Beasley. Different dynamic. Whether it be one of the top 3 wrs or mid rounder they all will see Allen as the guy. Diggs and Beasley seem/seemed almost jealous of his found notoriety and fame. -
Why do some look at this like a 1 offseason Madden rebuild? Milano is our best defender. Why trade him and create another hole on the roster? A few extra picks to package for Marvin Harrison? You dont fill a hole by making another.
-
Rumor was Buffalo didnt like what was offered for Elam at the trade deadline. If there is a run on Dbs early maybe a trade up package.

Who are the Bills "freakazoids" or potential "freakazoids"?
Mat68 replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen by far. Only one that comes to mind is Oliver. He has the ability to blow a game up. Miller had that ability before his injury. Thats why im pegging 60 for dline. Need someone with that ability or potential. -
If they trade down and pick up an extra day 2 pick I think he could be part of a double dip. Coleman paired with Worthy, Franklin or Wilson is more palpable imo. Coleman could be a fine wr but need to know what he is and is not. Power slot with some jump ball ability in the redzone. A traditional X I'm not convinced he is.
-
Depends what team Dr say. Its not a matter of grade but is he being taken off their boards completely for medical concerns. Some risk adverse teams will take him off. Some will not. They said the same thing about Jalen Phillips but he was drafted high but often injured.
-
I think all options are on the table at this point. I went with wr at 28 and different position at 60. I think the Bills are digging deep into Alabama and Jermaine Burton. Went to Alabama pro day instead of Texas both were on the same day. Maybe taking attention off Texas wideouts. Trading all the way up for one of the top 3 seems a bit rich. If they do it I would be excited but pretty much rolling with the dline as it is. I think they need to do something at 60 to add depth to Edge or draft Jones successor at DT. I could see a trade up to the 20s late teens including a 25 2nd. Beane really likes a guy he will go get them. Only 1 I could fully get behind is Marvin Harrison Jr. I would say the Andrew Luck prospect of WR. Was a future 1st round pick since highschool
