  1. He adds a punch to the defense. Imo, he was missed down the stretch. Milano did make plays vs Baltimore. Good problem to have.
  2. If Floyd wasnt on the wrong side of 30 he would still be here. I think Landry is perfect pairing with Groot.
  3. Three down end. Above average pass rush. I think he unlocks with a more consistent player on the other side. Smoot and Epenesa are reserves not starters. Groot was the best Dlineman on the team. Put him in the Eagles and Groots perception would be much different.
  4. Cleveland, LV and Dallas have to be willing to trade them. Not one of those organizations has publicly said they would be willing. There is also not a report or behind the scenes rumor of the team feeling out the market. 1. Garrett 2. Parsons 3. Crosby are all unlikley to be traded. I would pay for 10 plus sacks. Hendricks would be priority but I would have Landry on that list ahead of many other imo. Sweat imo is the stereotypical superbowl champion over pay. Mack at this point is a boom or bust move like Von was.
  5. If they move Cook. Henderson would be who I would look at. Reminds me of Jamal Charles or Warrick Dunn.
  6. Might be more probable than a Dlineman trade. First 2 picks on Dline. 1 edge and 1 1 tech. That flips the defense pretty quickly.
  7. Play Shakir as the Z. Make him a 100 catch wr. Look to add speed in the middle rounds. Tez Johnson is intriguing. Maybe draft Shakir’s clone Noel from Arizona St. That kid plays a-lot like him.
  8. This. 1000% this. Why would anyone be ok paying Slayton 15 mil per and thumb your nose at Cook at 15 mil? Slayton 3 years older has never had an above average season. Slayton is not a top 40 Wr. A middle rd wr you 100% can get that type of wr and at a significantly lower price. Why trade an above average player for a below average player? Rb is so depressed it’s where the actual value lie. Wrs are as much a dime a dozen as Rb. Why pay a wr when you can draft Shakir in the 4th. You hit on a Rb you pay them half you would hitting on a wr. I think Cook is closer to elite than many believe him to be. He was clearly the best player on offense not named Josh Allen. With the added flexibility with void years and structuring of contract, what ever Cooks deal, however it ends up, wouldn't limited Buffalo from making other improvements. This is probably why Cook is adamant about 15 mil per. Guys like Slayton are getting it why wouldn't he? Keep the strength the strength without weakening it to fix their weaknesses. Their is plenty of money to go around.
  9. Wr class is very meh. I dont think there is a potential number 1 type outside Mcmillen. Even with him is it more hype than substance? Idk. I think Buffalo needs speed outside. I think with one of the seconds or even fourth they can get that style of wr there. Im not sure the guys available at 30 are more impactful than the dline prospects that will be available.
  10. I dont recall Cook getting stuffed often. 16 TDs tells me he is fine short yardage. Against the Chiefs they didn't have a pivot when the sneak was getting stopped. Until that point though it was a 95% plus success rate. The eagles tush push isnt an indictment on Barkley. I have said multiple times and continue to say with the Cap increasing and spiking in a few years Buffalo is in a position to extend Cook and not infringe on any other roster move. Without a mega deal and Cook being included to save a premium pick, trading Cook for a pick this offseason is a lateral or backwards move.
  11. I would argue this is the best class at Dline since Olivers class. The talent available would be very hard to pass up. Could very well see the Diggs trade. Buffalo trades a massive package and miss the chance at drafting Jefferson.
  12. I think Grant inflates Mason Grahams production. Similar to Lawerence and Wilkins at Clemson. Imo those guys can become better pass rushers. They will get less attention from opposing teams protection in the pros early on than they have had in years. Guys don't become more stout against the run in the pros. Scheme and fit. Buffalo has a 3 Tech in Oliver. Carter seemed to play his best filling in at 3 tech with Oliver limited/injured. Thats 2 3 techs. Jones and Johnson are not it at 1 Tech. That is the need. They haven't had a long term answer at 1 tech in years. Get a guy that immediately improves the run defense. In situations vs lesser guards he can man handle on passing downs.
  13. Imo thats why he will be available. Dexter Lawerence and Chistian Wilkins imo. Lawerence was perceived as a 2 down player. In reality Lawerence blew up plays and Wilkins cleaned them up. Buffalo needs a DT like Lawerence to open the interior up for Oliver and Benard. A player like Grant unlocks players around him more so than guys with better pass rushing profiles. Buffalo has a top third of the league 3 tech. They need a 1 tech. Badly. Or they need to move on from Oliver. His style does not mesh without a guy that eats double teams.
  14. The premier edge defender is the best impact for the 2025 Bills. If the market is more inflated and those guys stay put this is the year to invest in the DLine. The majority of the top 60-80 players are defensive lineman. 2 of the Bills first 3 picks could potentially be starting caliber defenders on the line. I want the put the chips in and go for it move. Now I think that style of move doesn't have to be dline. Maybe DB, maybe Wr. Might get the best overall return by filling either of thise spots via trade And using the picks remaining for Dline. Interesting year for sure. The draft lines up with Buffalos needs but that might not be where they go. Time will tell. I expect a heavy amount of capital invested into the defense again.
  15. Bring one in or draft one. Fully support adding a Wr.
  16. But they do have cap space. It comes down to is Terry is too caught up in paying for the stadium overages to cover the signing bonus required to make it all work. 3 premium picks, somewheres in 25ish in cap space to upgrade 1tech, Edge, corner, Wr. Why do we need to trade the starting Rb to do that? Cap is jumping massively in the next few years too. I dont understand the issue.
  17. I don't touch the Oline. It was the strength of the team. Was the strongest positional group on the team. They have the ability to bring everyone back and same reserves I do it. This offseason I see 3 areas thats needed. Size and ability on the dline. Increased athleticism in the secondary. Wr with vertical ability. Realistically, should find that in the draft. Look to add the best young talent in through trade or Fa that help those areas. Buffalo was at the door step of the Superbowl with average weapons and average defense. No need to erode the strengths to fix the other areas. With so few UFAs. They have the ability to add 2 above average starters. Id look for Edge, Corner, Safety or Wr. I think interior Dline is too strong a class to pay 8 plus a year for a vet. Buffalo has 3 picks in the meat of the 25 class. Outside the top 10 prospects good luck determining 11-60. Those 3 paired with a few additions Buffalo will be more than formidable.
  18. True. But that would be Allen asking for 45% over the top of the market. Cook isn't doing anything but asking for top of the market. With front loaded deals, rosters bonus, and other incentives with escalators. A 15 mil a year deal on paper could look like 11-12 mil per year against the cap. I have said multiple times Buffalo has the ability to make all these maneuvers without playing an either or game. If Cook is traded or not extended it better be with a major addition made to the offense. Simply replacing him with another day 2 rookie doesn’t work for me.
  19. Im not advocating. Im just not mad at a player asking for it. From his position he can make a case how strong a position is debatable. 15 mil a year is also the glass ceiling running backs are trying to break. The final number is all fluff anyways. Guarantees front loaded, outs after 26 and 27 would also make a 15 avp of total money earned much less in reality. Beane has a number in mind but I would want them to prioritize an extension for Cook. Not paying a rb is philosophy. In a league with finite resources leaves you with premier players at not premier positions. Yes, in a vacuum you pay this position over that and so on. In reality it comes down to the player. Cook is top 10 and approaching top 5 territory at his position vs the 45th best wr? An extension is cheaper vs playing it out cap wise .
  20. Oliver has been solid. Imo Beane prioritized 3 tech not 1 tech. Mcdermott played the Star because the importance 1 tech has on the front 7 run defense. Beane has used b to c level FA to fill the role. They have shuffled different players through. Get Ed a big mfer to force attention and create disruption.
  21. Hence could. He wouldn't play the position he is currently excelling at. This comment is why he was drafted in rd 2. After filling the outside corner need with Mitchell they drafted Cooper fill the other corner, or slot, or safety. After the switch to slot Cooper and the secondary took off.
  22. Isiah Simmons. Is he a linebaker? Is he fluid enough to play safety? With 2 high safety and light numbered boxes where does he play. In college put him at wide side slot/baker and let him roam. NFL, narrower hashes more 2 way go situations. Can he guard a pro slot? As with Bishop does he have the feel for deep safety and how is he at the point of attack. Taller safeties seem like studs but none of them have exceeded expectations for the most part.
  23. Hardy probably the disappointment. Coleman, Bishop and Davis will see expanded roles in 25. Carter will be given the shot at either back up role. Starter beside Oliver is not something I expect. Both lineman seem to be NFL players with Grable a surprise for me. Carter and Coleman both got hurt when they were playing their best and both struggled to regain that consistency. Overall it was a work pail class. Bishop and Coleman both determine its success. He is playing great as a slot. He wasn't replacing Johnson. Moving him to centerfield Desean could have had the same season as Bishop did.
  24. Where is Cooper playing in Buffalo? Safety?
