Better than all the options below Trubisky. I think he pushes Trubisky for the back up. He pushes the ball down field a bit better than Trubisky.

Bills acquire Jets DB and return man Brandon Codrington

Curious move. If he can make a few good returns than its a win. No one really did anything with the return job. Hamler wasn't sure handed enough and Hardy was going to try and return everything. Dont hate it. -
This seems to be the outcome. Now if Kincaid or Knox missed a game or two I think Davidson would make sense to be active and could be used as more a receiving threat. But 3rd Te needs to be able to do everything.
-
No he is not. He will be most productive out of the slot. Not like Beasley but like Michael Thomas or Colston.
-
I think he has been better in coverage and has a better knowledge of the defense with how long he has been in the system. Now Spector could very well get cut im just guessing based off how they have operated in the past. At this stage I'm guessing McDermott views Andreesen as a high variance player. Good vs the run work in progress vs the pass.

He is solidly average in my opinion. Plus athlete. Not a lot of upside but if needed to play would be fine. Every where he goes seems to always find the field.

Other Teams Cuts That Might Help the Bills
Mat68 replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldnt be surprised if Watson is IR return. They have 3 quality back ups for a reason. Watson isnt playing imo. They roster Winston, Huntley and DTR. If they were open to trading I think that move already happens. Right now it would be unlikley a qb traded would be ready to go as a backup week 1. I know Mayfield did it in 72 hours. He was the starter and has the complete attention of every offensive coach. Going into week 1 he is getting assistance from a low level assistant and watching practice with minimal reps. -
Benard and Willaims Morrow primary back up and possible 3rd baker He cant stay on the field but Spector is well liked and played well How many do they roster? 5 or 6? Ulafoshio is a will. Spector and Andreesen are both Mike. I think they go 6 deep. At 5 Andreesen is too green vs the pass to be primary back up at Mike imo.
-
They are only able to maintain. Imo the only reason Dennis Allen is HC no top candidate with options would want to go there. No cap flexibility to flip the roster. Have enough talent to avoid a season that gets you a top 5 pick but not enough to contend for a championship. They are the drought Bills.

Look at New Orleans. They did that for years. Brees retired and those voids years became realized. They couldn't do anything and why Peyton left.

Per McD, JA and first teamers will play about a quarter vs Bears
Mat68 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
New weapons, new center. Need to get somethings ironed out in game settings. Brady played almost every pre season game. Mahomes plays almost every pre season game. I think it is the right call. -
Jp Losman and Troy Vincent. Tells me Fields needs to throw the ball more and stop trying to play 2 hand tag vs the pass rush.

Training Camp 7/29 - First day of pads
Mat68 replied to DaBillsFanSince1973's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shavers looks to be leading the group. I think return will answer the final wr spot. Isabella or Hamler could clam a spot as return. If its Hardy or a Rb I thinks MVS or Claypool chances greatly improve. -
Training Camp 7/29 - First day of pads

Evaluating olineman in shorts and Tshirts does not mean a whole lot. Pads are on now let’s see what he looks like. Preseason will also be a place for him to make an impression. Shotgun snaps and anchor will be something to monitor. -

He is playing with the 1’s. Top 4 picks are all in rotation. Coleman playing exclusively with Allen. Davis getting work with the first team. Bishop is getting alot of work with the 1st team. Carter is second team 3Tech. First day in pads what is not going to plan? -
Belichick. He is such a unique football mind. You can see his defensive mind. His relationship with Parcells. His development of Brady and what he saw from day 1 is something that isnt talked about enough. I believe they rostered 4 qbs because Bill didn't want to lose him on waivers. I liked his draft insight on Mcafee. Seemed out on Maye but big on Penix and Nix. The NFL greatest 100 list you saw his passion energy. I look forward to see his opinions during the season week to week.

100%. Coleman and Kincaid like Graham and Thomas. Personal groupings and formations will stress the sub packages of defenses. Creating the mis matches needed for a high octane offense. Defensive mistakes and strategic advantages. The thing that Payton said about coaching Brees. It was his and his staffs job Monday through Saturday to limit how many times Brees had to be great. Out of 30 or passes he didnt want to asked Brees to drop back and just be great 5 time a game. I felt under Dorsey and even Daboll Allen had to do it every play. Get him easy competitions scheme open guys.

The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Mat68 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seemed like a natural progression for Allen. Can’t be the leader Allen needs to be by also deferring to Diggs at the same time. I do not think it was malicious but just a product of their success and competitiveness. Diggs wants and earned a voice on offense but the operation will probably be better with just Allen from a players perspective. -
With the amount of money being kicked down the road. I think an actual restructure will be a necessity next offseason. He will be 15th highest paid? The amount of money is increasing but also helps to move the move around. A win for both parties.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
Mat68 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Coleman is going to be a massive part of this offense. Massive target shares available. Working exclusively with Allen and the first team offense is a peak into their expectations of him. Mcdermott has started some out the rip and others had to move up the charts. Coleman is thought of very highly and is being positioned to be an instant impact player. -
The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?
Mat68 replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
This may or may not be a story in 5 years. I think Allen’s point in his career he earned a bigger leadership role. The dynamic with Diggs is more a place of brothers and equals. Idk if that relationship would be sustainable with Allen having a larger say than Diggs in how he wants routes and plays he likes. They did great things together and in a few years this is likely water under a bridge. -
Offense. Max Hollins. Defense Mike Edwards. A year removed from his cardiac arrest Hamlin will return to the player he was in 22 and is the third safety. Numbers game puts Hollins off the roster. Claypool, Coleman, and MVS make Hollins redundant. Halmer is the last wr on the roster. Hamler plays a Jon Brown role and is the primary kick returner.

Hard not to like everything Keon has done so far. Speaks like a vet. I think those that doubt him will come to regret that. I think in 24 he exceeds most peoples expectations.

Sunday Ticket lawsuit alleges price fixing by the NFL
Mat68 replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall
The league will continue to fight this to the death. Adding an additional game to 18 will cover a-lot of the cost of suit imo.
