  1. They knew they needed a Wr. They had their pick after Thomas. I think Coleman is going to surprise many. This pre season when starters were on the field Coleman was on the field. When Buffalo was 3 wide Coleman was on the field. When Buffalo was 2 wide Coleman was on the field. They are telling you he is the starter. With all the targets gone from Diggs, Davis, Harty and Sherfield Coleman is going to get a-lot of volume. Allen likes him. The team likes him. I think Coleman quickly becomes a star. That happens the questions at Wr evaporates.
  2. He didnt make practice squad….
  3. James cook averaged more yards per touch than Breece Hall last season.
  4. Massive upside. The new secondary coach recruited him out of highschool and developed him into a 1st rd pick?. He can hopefully restore his confidence. If he regain some of his explosiveness with more time from his injury he could be a contributor sooner rather than later.
  5. Hold on are they one of the top rosters? Or are NYJ fans in the media saying they are? Oline? Besides Wilson who do they have at wr? Breece Hall is good but last season James Cook was more productive and averaged more per touch. No one claims Cooks is a top 5 back. TE Conklin? He is not top 10. Dline they have Quinten Williams and? Lost Huff and Franklin Meyers their top pass rushers and replaced them with? Linebaker is Mosley and? Secondary is good. 2 solid corner out wide. Slot and Saftey is who? I would argue Aaron had a better team around him in Greebay his last season. They missed the playoffs in an average division and Rodgers looked old. Coming off a major injury north of 40 doesnt scream optimism.
  6. KC had a better defense and DVOA doesnt take into account playing the teams 5th line baker who was retired 2 weeks prior. Pivoting to a younger team may help with the injuries the team sustained. Hyde, Poyer, Miller and White all older.
  7. Teams with more money have more players. Creating an eventual advantage.
  8. The offense got much younger. Coleman, Shakir, Kincaid and Cook are the top playmakers. All on rookie deals. Buffalo got younger in flash and Vegas still favors Buffalo to win the division. Allen is going to have a year better than 2020. I think Buffalo is slept on nationally and will be a very balanced team come January.
  9. Well you do have the Panthers who claimed 5 players, 3 cbs who will be rostered for 4 weeks. Some rosters and PS better than others. I remember Steelers and Ravens in the 2000’s had dudes coming out of their ears. Jerome Harrison bounced between Baltimore and Pittsburgh for few years on their PS. Priest Holmes was claimed off Baltimores PS. Some franchises have better eyes for talent than others. I think Beane is pretty good at it. Not the best but the guys he draft usually stick around the league.
  10. Jets gonna Jets. This is Haasan Riddick’s agent right? Backing out of negotiating because player didnt report. Checks notes, the team didnt negotiate after initial offer which was rejected up front leading to the player not reporting. Watching ESPN gas up the Jets for a massive melt down is always enjoyable.
  11. Many will play this year. Know them now so you are not surprised latter. Some are develop only, some are contractual. Either way an injury occurs these are the replacements.
  12. Possible change in D defense with Flores and Petine coming in this year. Either way he adds juice to the room.
  13. Davis and Shakir are pretty solid hits. Both mid rd guys. Both productive players in college at smaller schools. Boise and UCF. Shorter is a bit of a break from their norm with an ultra traits guy and highly regarded recruit. He didnt work out. Shavers is a similar player and prospect but closer to the field imo.
  14. That was the starting defense vs Dinucci. They will not be good on defense. Likey, number 1 pick again. Average at best everywhere on offense and bad on defense. Dick back in the garage.
  15. Hardy isn't being rostered.
  16. Correct. Too small to play outside, not stout enough to play modern nickel. Im curious if Buffalo thinks he can develop into a special teamer and return man. If so he is worth a ps spot.
  17. If you are not starting you have to play special teams. He is not the return man, with the new kickoff I dont think he plays on any coverage unit. Gotta have a role on Sundays. Toohill provides some pash rush ability but imo he is a product of the new kick off. Start of the play is more natural for edge and bakers. Years past Shavers is probably on the roster instead of Toohill.
  18. You have 2 at 53 and 6 remainder of the season. Stash for a few weeks if Codrington Bear doesnt work out he can return kicks.
  19. At the draft he was picked primary as a return man. With the new rule they anticipated it being closer to a punt return. After seeing it across the league that is not the case. Late day 3 picks get cut all the time. Grable making the team at OT is a bigger deal than Hardy not. Last 3 years Buffalo drafted Cook, Kincaid, and Coleman in the first or second rd. Shakir, Coleman, Kincaid, Knox, Cook and Davis are all skill players drafted by the team and are in prominent roles in the offense.
  20. No FB slander will be allowed lol They went with a guy who can do all the return duties and a guy who flashed pass rush ability. At the end of the day. Kick off coverage will require guys getting off blocks. More DEs and Lbs will be active on game day vs Dbs and Wrs in years past due to the rule change.
  21. Noah Brown is a solid bottom of roster guy. Not an upgrade over MVS or Hollins. Those claiming he is just want anything and everything at wr. Historically, Allen sustains 2 maybe 3 wrs. 4th and 5th options dont make significant impacts. Coleman, Shakir and Samuel are the guys. MVS adds deep ball ability. Hollins can do alot of things Davis did. Slightly better possession wr where Davis is better down the field.
  22. Hardy had 2 returns Tds vs Umass at PSU. Tight situations he was not the return man at PSU. They used a safe return man. He has very good speed but is a cut and straight line runner. The new kick off rule will require instinctive runners. Hardy is not. Do roster your 3rd slot, punt return only but would be part of a committee? They didnt know how the new kickoff would look. Thought maybe Hardys style would work better. It did not.
  23. Not in McDermott's trust tree as a return man. Too small to play slot in Buffalos defense. Less than ideal size outside. He was drafted as a return guy. No real big returns, some poor decisions. Possible PS candidate but could see them moving on completely too.
  24. I dont think they want to bring back all these guys. I think Davidson and Shavers are closest out of the young guys. Williams as a 5th DT on PS would make sense.
