  1. I have not seen Taylor play poorly with an aggressive gameplan. Open it up taylor doesnt throw alot of picks but that will open up rushing lanes.
  2. Very simple to me. Against Denver they need to hit some passing plays early. If the can get those down the field it will open up everything they want to do. Stretch left stretch right third and 7 plus will not work again. The analytics are there to implement first down PA and they could be very effective. A littlle pistol formation would help imo as well. Seems like every coach wants to go ball control with Taylor. Hes got arm and ability to make big plays. They need to give him the ability to do so.
  3. Tyrod and the offense go long stretches of poor football. Idk if its scheme if its Taylor or what. The offense has looked the same vs every good defense they have played in three years. Against Denver I would love to see something creative but I expect another shotty offensive performance. Taylor with the ball and a chance to win a game we have no purpose in winning, amd coming up short. The only way to take advantage of a stout defense is to spread them out. They are too fast a team to run the outside zone against. Go 3 to 4 wide. Force them out of there base d. If needed pass early in the game and on first down. Run run pass has nkt worked in the NFL in 20 years.
  4. Imo i do not believe he needs more authority to change out of bad plays but I would like to see them pass more frequently on early downs. The reads are easier and against good teams and the way Buffalo is set up they should pass to set up the run earlier. Play action on early downs will be extremely effective because not only the tendencies they have shown but the running the ball is the teams strengths.
  5. There are games like this all over the NFL every Sunday. The traditional "Good Teams" win these poor games. At the end of the year we only remember Seattle and Greenbay's win lose record not their ugly games they squeak out. At the end of the day if Jones and Taylor connect on that TD the narrative and analysis of this team is completely different. They lost a tough fought game to good football team in their home opener. Couple of positives, they are still relatively healthy and the loss was to an out of conference opponent. This week Buffalo will face a similar style game. I think Buffalo handles business on defense and I am curious to see if they have come up with some wrinkles on offense. I don't think this will be an exciting game in the high scoring sense but will be a defensive struggle and 1 or 2 plays decides the outcome.
  6. Need him to get healthy so we can move Dawkins over to the right side so mills can stay off the field. Will they trust Henderson enough to play him on the left side and have Dawkins play RT, or will he just get waived or be the swing tackle.
  7. As someone who likes Tyrod. For him to be the long-time solution at QB he has to avoid having these style of games. Sure his worst games Buffalo does not get blown out but look completely inept on offense. Regardless of his rushing numbers 125 yards passing is poor at any level. If he does get into these games it would be different if he routinely found a way to win them. Overall, my assessment of his game is that of Russell Wilson. But, these are the kind of games he has to but the main difference is normally finds a way to win them. His first year he has a game like this vs Tennessee but found a way to win that is the last one I can think of.
  8. Depending on what side of the body the injury is on, would it be easier on Glenn to play and anchor from RT than LT. I like Dawkins athletic ability on the left side.
  9. Thats bound to happen with a rookie wr. He is getting open just not making the plays. Imo we are close to him really having a break out type game. I would do a few things early in the next game to get his confidence up.
  10. Like i thougbt he worked his way into a sack. I expect for the next couple of weeks that is what to expect. The defense played great. So far so good on that side of the ball.
  11. I feel like this story is over stating the snap count. In todays NFL most effective defenses platoon lineman. Benefit is late in the game your best players will be fresher than the O lineman. The plays that determine the game, the ones Buffalo has given up that last 17 years hopefully will be made.
  12. I think he has the potential to be a #1. He also is clearly a leader. His decription of Zay Jones is very indepth and shows he is willing to help a guy he met a few weeks ago.
  13. Yes. Our current home combo with a red helment.
  14. Red helmets 90's. I would be all for taking current uniforms and using a red helment. Current all whites are the best current combo.
  15. Mckelvin fumbling away the upset of NE.
  16. Under 190 yards. 1 td 2 picks. I think he is rusty and not quite healthy. I would be more worried if we had rexs defense. Cam is at his best when he has big plays. If he doesnt get multiple 50 yard plays their offense is very inconsistent. This is a battle of very similar teams. Think our defense is good enough to avoid the big plays and stop their ground attack. I think our offense is good enough to sustain a few long drives and get 1 or 2 big plays. Thats the differance in the game. Who gets the big plays on offense and break the game open with one on defense. I agree with both of you. He doesnt make the best decision under pressure. He has some farve in him where he can place too trust in his arm to force some tight throws into traffic. Alexander will be key. I would put him in the a gap alot and bring pressure to his face. I think Lawson will make a big impact and will hustle himself into a sack or 2 when Cam holds onto the ball to long and/or gets flushed to him while trying to escape the pocket.
  17. I assume he will be listed for any lite nick every week and rarely practice on friday all year. Have him involved wed thurs for the gameplan install and help him stay fresh the rest of the week.
  18. Imo its become more about drama. They have gone almost full 24/7 news bantor and opinion. They had some success with afternoon shows but have used that model for everything. Imo double down on sports coverage. More actually injury reporting than spectualtion. Football is most popular sport. Why? Its the easist and least complicated sport to bet on. So that should be there contend. ESPN is slipping because they are the last to get information and are becoming less and less accurate. More individual player matchups in team and weekly game predictions. Overal their coverage has slipped and the highlights are easjer to get for your individual teams. So many sources flr information and easier ways to stream contend they want to watch. 24/7 talk tv is dying. Disney has alot of content. Alway a user to sign up for espn directly. Pull regional coverage into their streaming umbrella and let people watch the games theh want. Put more money into sports commentators and less into o air personalities.
  19. McCoy is key like always. I think Zay and Jordan will be our xfactors. If they can make some plays down the feild will be our road to victory. I expect Mccoy and Clay as the biggest keys for Carolina to gameplan against.
  20. At his worst Watson can do everything Savage can do. My problem with whole situation it was apparent after 1 preseason game. Idk if O'brien was worried because of the oline or thought a playoff caliber defense would revolt with a rookie qb. If Savage was only givwn a half the chamge should have been made weeks ago. Imo O'brien is done. For whatever reseason he had to sit Watson it seems to me the decision to play him came from someone above him. Basicly, if you dont win and soon your out.
  21. Im interested to see how the secondary handles the trees that catch the ball for carolina.
  22. Very simple, owners and the NFL does not care about individual fans. They care about markets and corperate dollars. Once the LA teams have luxury boxes and corpotate dollars dumped into the teams they wont care if the stadiums are filled.
  23. I dont think anyone is being attacked. The Taylor debate over the past 2 seasons has really fascinated me. During the QB battle and Rexs first year it was pretty much universal thought that if Buffalo found even adequate quarterback play Buffalo would be a contender. Buffalo was projected preseason that year to have the worst QB play in the league. What turns out Buffalo found a player in Taylor. He suprisingly become one of the most efficent Qbs in the NFL top 10. Led an offese the was one of if not the most productive since the 90s. Now instead of looking at the defensive wizard Rex and wondering what happened to a Top 5 defense a large portion of Bills fans picked apart Taylors game instead. A bunch of outliers where created. He cannot carry an offense, he cannot throw over the middle, he cannot throw over 300 yards, He is not clutch, and he cannot run a 2 minute offense. So last year again he plays similar to his first year. First half of the year Mccoy looks like a differant player and the games were over going into the 4th and the team is using a 5 min offense. About week 10 Buffalo looks about average. The offense is down quite a few players. From that point on Taylor pretty much knocks off every qualifer and something he cannot do he does. The year ends in disaray. Rex fired, they give away the final game of the year. Again the offense is one of the most productice units the team has had in 20 years. Taylor ends the year throwing over 300 yards nearly securing a fairly large comeback in the forth quarter only for the defense to wash it all away. I do not understand the distain and dislike of Taylor as a Quarterback. He makes 2 or 3 plays a game only a handful of quarterbacks in the history of the game could make. He is not Brady he is not Rodgers. But give him a defense that doesnt give up in the forth quarter and he is every bit as good as russel wilson.
  24. I thought the book was out on Taylor? Take away the sideline throws and the occassional deep ball. He is rendered useless because he cant throw over the middle?
  25. At his floor he is a good run defender average to below average pass rusher. Im fine with him playing first and second down as essentialy a rookie. Sacks are flashy but developing an everydown DE is hard to find too. I think by mid season he earns those passing down reps. He makes a few plays on first and second down on the qb he earns the money third and long. Right now loarax rushing is smart becauae he is a better pass rusher at this point.
